The trade-window for the HBL Pakistan Super League 7 has been opened which will enable the teams to trade players that have not yet featured in the seventh edition of the tournament. The HBL PSL 7’s Karachi-leg comprising 15 matches ended on Monday.

The Lahore-Leg starts on Thursday, 10 February, the last 19 matches of this year’s edition will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The following are the trade-window rules:

• This window will remain active till 6:30 pm 9 February, 2022.

• Only those players who have not played any match for their team will be eligible for trades during this window.

• Both teams and the player(s) in question must agree to any potential transfer.

• Trades will be within the same category.

• Each team shall be allowed a maximum of two trades.

• The total number of active members in a squad shall remain unchanged.

Think the better doing teams will not want to do anything!

Karachi can take Sohail Akhtar from Lahore. That'll be good for them and for Lahore.

What about taking UA from Quetta.

Babar reunited with his cousin and someone who could potentially play in the middle order, perhaps even keep.

That works too. If they haven't played Rohail yet they could trade him. Karachi will also make use of Qasim Akram now. It's funny because they will well be relying on an U19 guy to come in and bolster the batting and bowling department.

Expecting karachi to make a dumb move :))

Islambad should go for akif javed. Need a pacer just incase.

Karachi can opt for getting umar akmal... Not a bad move in this situation

So Karachi can still qualify if they win all their Lahore matches and others fail?

Quetta need to get a bowler in. Don't understand why they selected Faulkner as overseas he is finished then you have Afridi who is finished too. Luke wood don't seem good at end of innings ain't seen much of him. Only Naseem can bowl at death but too inexperienced they need to somehow get one decent pacer in and allrounder in place of Afridi then would have a team to win this PSL

Looks like this mid phase trade will be good for Karachi only. Other teams are looking decent. They can get back Danish Aziz, he was fine as compare to current middle order players in karachi(I am not sure why they didn't select him this year). Also they can get Khurram Shehzad from Quetta. Another option could be Muhammad Haris from Peshawar Zalmi. But as usual we already know that they will do any dumb trade once again if it happens.

Trade window isn’t big enough for franchises to seriously negotiate terms of transfers. I suspect this trade window will have no trades in it.

Karachi would be desperate, but the problem is, no team wants to make karachi strong just for the sake of trade. Thus, to get Karachii involved, you need some value in return. That is something Karachi cant offer.

I agree - I dont expect anything to happen - maybe some fringe players could be exchanged but no big guys will move.

Karachi Kings need to make the most of this opportunity. Get whatever players they can to bolster their ranks

Karachi Kings could potentially take a look at Muhammad Akhlaq as a decent middle order batter.

The thing with KK is that with their track record an up and coming youngster will think twice before wanting to play for Karachi. Off course a player would think that it’s better to get games for KK then just be on the sidelines for their current franchise but at the same time he’ll know that KK is not a done deal and they could be in the same boat as Mohammad Taha right now. It truly sucks to be a youngster in KK.

Time for the Kings to get into action and overhaul their squad.

It'll be interesting to see what they do.

But what incentive is their for the other party to lose their players?

End of 8th Feb and no signs of any trades - not too long to expiry of window
