Does anyone the boundary dimensions for the opening match today?

And it would be great if anyone who finds out the boundary dimensions for the other grounds to post it here, because I cannot find anything regarding this on google.

This, frankly, is unacceptable - From Match 23 in Rawalpindi

Are short boundaries any ground specific in PSL or in general boundaries are short? Usually, leagues have small boundaries to assist power hitters. Fans like to watch high scoring games in general. As long as fans have a good time, who cares how big/short boundary is? Entertainment is the primary goal of franchise cricket.

this is the reason why we lost the world t20. They knew it advance they will play at MCG against India. Our players were able to score easy boundaries last time and this time around aswell.

I also think these boundaries are maybe shorten due to security reason, incase someone does enter and tries to go after the player

Still Shan Masood can’t hit a 6

And Babar hit one by edging a green hit

The scores so far in Rawalpindi:

197/5

201/5
204/4
179/6

Electronic advertising is a reason I suppose. But even in the 90's , Pakisyan ODIs had ropes pulled on a long way at times.

Australia successfully chased a then record 316 against an attack of Wasim, Saqlain, Akhtar at Lahore and the boundary ropes were pulled a long way in.

I’ve really really been turned off by these pitches in Pindi. Scores of 6s, 4s aren’t entertaining, it’s monotonous!

At the very least, they need to pull the boundaries right back in Pindi and make the pitch more conducive to the bowlers. Currently it’s completely distorting actual performances on this joke of a pitch.

Always preferred an even contest between bat and ball.

These scores at Rawalpindi are a joke.

They inflate the quality of some of the batters and are unfair on the bowlers.

The other problem is when players get used to hitting 60metre sixes, when they have to play on proper grounds with decent sized boundaries they simply cannot clear those boundaries and end up struggling.

It’s disappointing to see and devaluing the tournament. A t20 player 100 should be an event. At this point it’s expected every game.

Seem like these decisions are made by people who don’t understand the game and just assume more 6s will mean more excitement and “better” cricket.

This is ridiculous , almost 1/2 of sixes at Pindi's mini ground would have been caught by the fielders in any other ground with decent dimensions

Not sure how players like Saim Ayub will perform on a "regular" ground .

Exactly. It makes a mockery of the sport. The whole point of 4s and 6s is that they’re amidst the dots and 2s in the match. If you’re getting a boundary every other ball, it’s much less interesting.

Currently, I gave no idea what Saim Ayub’s actual ability is.

They need to vary their pitches to make matches interesting.

8 of the last 10 totals at Rawalpindi have been 200+. Clear indication of an imbalance between bat and ball

Surely, you can't bring in the rope more than a particular point. ... i mean womens boundaries are lot lesser, but am sure there is more standardization in mens cricket.
for some grounds, eg Auckland's eden park or dunedin or maybe i think bloem fontein or potchchestroom in saf, these are out and out rugby grounds with a strange oval shape and smaller boundaries.
i remember in 2009 auckalnd odi Jesse Ryder just touching one from Ishant and next moment it was over the rope at square leg for six.

In 2015 I went to Auckland to watch WC SF, when I entered the stadium couldn't believe how short was the boundary dimensions .

These are ridiculous scores and I'm not sure how does this help? These players will be out 2nd ball caught on the boundary on even normal sized grounds, let alone the huge ones like we get in Australia.

Balance between bat and ball is crucial for cricket to survive, overdose of anything is bad.

PSL think tank lost the plot hopefully for K.Os normality will be resumed and there will be proper contest between ball and ball although these types of scores are bukies galore

If same dimensions as in PSL 8 then prepare for run fests in the Pindi games for the T20I series vs NZ

PCB should have the same ground dimensions in PSL as for international matches.

You can see some players struggling to hit sixes in internationals compared to PSL.
