PSL makes history with first-ever Player Auction as eight franchise rosters completed

Why was Irfan Khan Niazi dropped by Pakistan national cricket team?
He’s a clutch player and a gun fielder.
Any takers for him in the Pakistan Super League auction?

I like Amad Butt. I think he's a decent option.

Specially with the amount of players that have debut for Pakistan & have been given lengthy runs, Amad Butt wouldn't be a bad option.

Good to see Aussie players getting picked in PSL, though disappointed that McGurk went Unsold, a young player should have been taken.
Spencer Johnson is a direct signing to Gladiators

Khwaja should have been picked. That's a miss

There's also a lot of room of improvement. They should ensure that at least there's the picture of the player when they enter the auction/draft.

It just looks so shoddy that the player has entered the auction and there's not even a picture of them.

Just checked Cricket Australia (reddit) & they have zero interest in the PSL auction. When Smith, Payne, & even Labuschagne were selected, they had posts & interest but now it seems no one is following up or tracking the progress.

When the entire auctions a shambles, happening mid WC and on a weekday, who's going to be interested.

Quetta also should sell their franchise to one of the people who were bidding so heavily for Rawalpindi. I see one of them sitting together and the Nadeem Omar also tried to say something but stopped short of a joint partnership.

Uncle should just let it go and see what the new generation is capable to do.

Deepinder Singh Airee is an aboslute gun player and should be selected and no one has even an idea who he is.

Sometimes I do not understand rich people.

Who cares?

Please do not give such replies because no matter how I reply to it, this will sound rude and harsh.

PSL has international foreign rights & the best way to grow the league and do economically well is by having attraction of fans in other territories. If hard core cricket fans of a nation are not interested in the first ever PSL auction where many of their country cricket stars are listed, the ordinary casual will have 0 interest in watching the game hence no reason for any Australian broadcaster to pick up PSL.

The entire point of the auction is also to raise the profile of PSL and get fan engagement from all over the world.

So yes, I care, the PCB cares, Walee Tech that bought foreign rights of PSL cares, & every one posting in this forum who is linked to cricketing eco system has a stake in it.
