The digital broadcast of HBL PSL 10 has already broken records. In just the first three matches, the tournament crossed 103 million total views. Over 24 million unique viewers tuned in through five major digital platforms: Tamasha, Myco, Daraz, Tapmad, and Begin.

For the first time, digital viewership has beaten TV ratings by a big margin. Each match is getting an average of 12 million views on digital, compared to 6.3 million on PTV Sports and 2.8 million on A Sports. Digital has about 30 percent more reach than television this season.

Its like Pakistan's economy is down the drain but Stock market is creating new record , its all cosmetics . I have lost all interest in PSL, every match I watch , switch TV channel to IPL to watch some exciting cricket. Cricket played in PSL this year is of such a low standard, one sided matches .

Still can’t believe some people were opposed to the idea of having PSL go up against IPL.

We’ve taken advantage of the international window.

We’re not going to lose players due to international commitments.

Most of the foreign players that have signed up for the IPL wouldn’t even play in the PSL if it was held in Feb/Mar. And, even if they did it would’ve been for a couple of games.

PCB just needs to find better owners for Karachi and Multan.

The most important thing is taking advantage of that international window

Like you said, majority of the players signed up by ipl wouldn't partake in the PSL anyway, so take advantage of guys like Finn, Billings, Daryl, Chapman, Short etc being available

We'll know the full results after the PSL is finished though

I think all leagues should arrange T20 tournaments at the same time as IPL. This can break India's monopoly in the long run. :inti

That’ll never happen.

The BBL is held during the Australian summer months.

In the UK, our cricket season starts from end of May and runs till mid August.

Not sure about BPL, SAT20…

PSL, BPL and IPL in the same window. They should have a champions league tournament with 2 of the best teams from each country.

I'm not sure why it's so hard to believe. 8x increase is for digital viewership only and it's possible that more people are watching on digital platforms than traditional

where is PSL showing on sky sports today?

Sky Cricket is showing IPL
sky Main is showing EFL
sky mix is showing showing some random stuff

It could be true. I live in Karachi and stopped watching TV a couple of years ago. Everyone I meet whether in my circle or just in general public seems to say the same, they’ve lost interest in electronic media. That said, I still follow cricket regularly, but now it's entirely through digital platforms.

Ahh, we all know why everything is bad in Pakistan for you lot.

Tbh what is this 826.5% viewship figure ?? What are the actual numbers? How did they arrive at this number?? Who are the agencies tracking the viewership data??

Too vague at the moment. I am sure there is solid Pakistan audience watching PSL but this seems a facesave.
Its literally in the article if you had bothered reading it

PCB as usual releasing these big percentages without the actual numbers to make a proper assessment.
In the article it states the digital viewing number is averaging at 12 million. 12/x * 100 = 872% will give you the original figure.

That is some authenticity of that article....LOL...its an advetisement.

You

Do some mathematics for us and find us the actual numbers for PSL 9 and PSL 10.

Don't give us any formulas, get us the number since you have read the article. 🤡
This reads like a classic 'Trust me Vro' type article aimed at the most gullible part of the Pakistani audience..

It's been 10 seasons and still the league has doubters and points to prove? Why does everything operates as a seige mentality?
As per your logic, Bangladesh premier League(BPL) has started in 2012 and running for more seasons than you. Do you mean it also has already proved its point..No of seasons doesn't matter..How much does the league grow over the years and how much your board and national team benefits out of it is the point..

Good points. Never thought of it from this angle.
