The digital broadcast of HBL PSL 10 has already broken records. In just the first three matches, the tournament crossed 103 million total views. Over 24 million unique viewers tuned in through five major digital platforms: Tamasha, Myco, Daraz, Tapmad, and Begin.

For the first time, digital viewership has beaten TV ratings by a big margin. Each match is getting an average of 12 million views on digital, compared to 6.3 million on PTV Sports and 2.8 million on A Sports. Digital has about 30 percent more reach than television this season.

Its like Pakistan's economy is down the drain but Stock market is creating new record , its all cosmetics . I have lost all interest in PSL, every match I watch , switch TV channel to IPL to watch some exciting cricket. Cricket played in PSL this year is of such a low standard, one sided matches .

Still can’t believe some people were opposed to the idea of having PSL go up against IPL.

We’ve taken advantage of the international window.

We’re not going to lose players due to international commitments.

Most of the foreign players that have signed up for the IPL wouldn’t even play in the PSL if it was held in Feb/Mar. And, even if they did it would’ve been for a couple of games.

PCB just needs to find better owners for Karachi and Multan.

The most important thing is taking advantage of that international window

Like you said, majority of the players signed up by ipl wouldn't partake in the PSL anyway, so take advantage of guys like Finn, Billings, Daryl, Chapman, Short etc being available

We'll know the full results after the PSL is finished though

I think all leagues should arrange T20 tournaments at the same time as IPL. This can break India's monopoly in the long run. :inti

That’ll never happen.

The BBL is held during the Australian summer months.

In the UK, our cricket season starts from end of May and runs till mid August.

Not sure about BPL, SAT20…

Start with BPL. Btw what happened to your new cricketing alliance lead by PCB and BCB? Ang updates? :kp

PSL, BPL and IPL in the same window. They should have a champions league tournament with 2 of the best teams from each country.

I'm not sure why it's so hard to believe. 8x increase is for digital viewership only and it's possible that more people are watching on digital platforms than traditional

No Rickshaw league please, we recently modified much of the border fencing solely to keep them out. Agree with PSL, would be exciting to watch.

where is PSL showing on sky sports today?

Sky Cricket is showing IPL
sky Main is showing EFL
sky mix is showing showing some random stuff

It could be true. I live in Karachi and stopped watching TV a couple of years ago. Everyone I meet whether in my circle or just in general public seems to say the same, they’ve lost interest in electronic media. That said, I still follow cricket regularly, but now it's entirely through digital platforms.

Ahh, we all know why everything is bad in Pakistan for you lot.

STAY ON TOPIC GUYS.. TALK ABOUT PSL AND CRICKET. NO POLITICAL REMARKS.

Tbh what is this 826.5% viewship figure ?? What are the actual numbers? How did they arrive at this number?? Who are the agencies tracking the viewership data??

Too vague at the moment. I am sure there is solid Pakistan audience watching PSL but this seems a facesave.
Its literally in the article if you had bothered reading it

PCB as usual releasing these big percentages without the actual numbers to make a proper assessment.
In the article it states the digital viewing number is averaging at 12 million. 12/x * 100 = 872% will give you the original figure.

That is some authenticity of that article....LOL...its an advetisement.

Do some mathematics for us and find us the actual numbers for PSL 9 and PSL 10.

Don't give us any formulas, get us the number since you have read the article. 🤡
This reads like a classic 'Trust me Vro' type article aimed at the most gullible part of the Pakistani audience..

It's been 10 seasons and still the league has doubters and points to prove? Why does everything operates as a seige mentality?

As per your logic, Bangladesh premier League(BPL) has started in 2012 and running for more seasons than you. Do you mean it also has already proved its point..No of seasons doesn't matter..How much does the league grow over the years and how much your board and national team benefits out of it is the point..

Good points. Never thought of it from this angle.

Pakistan Super League management and stakeholders meet

The management of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) headed by Chief Executive Officer, Salman Naseer held workshops with all stakeholders of HBL PSL including representatives of franchises, title sponsor, media rights partners and commercial partners on Wednesday at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

During the meeting, the PSL management presented data and analytics reflecting the league’s growth over the past 10 years. A statistical comparison between the ninth and tenth editions of the league was also shared.

The 10th edition of the HBL PSL also known as HBL PSL X was played from 11 April to 25 May with four cities –Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi hosting a total of 34 matches. The final of the marquee event was played before a packed Gaddafi Stadium between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators, with the former winning the tournament for the third time in past four years.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi:

“The Pakistan Super league has not only grown into a premier cricketing brand but has also served as a symbol of resilience, hope and unity during challenging times.

“From navigating difficult circumstances to bringing international stars to our home grounds, the PSL has remained steadfast in delivering quality cricket and unforgettable moments for millions of fans across the globe. This journey, filled with passion, drama and thrilling performances, truly belongs to our people.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our franchise owners, HBL – our title sponsor and long-term partner, players, broadcasters, commercial partners, security agencies and of course, our passionate fans. Without their unwavering support and belief, this success would not have been possible.

“As we look to the future, the PCB remains committed to strengthening and evolving the league further. We envision an even more competitive, inclusive and globally engaging tournament that continues to bring joy to cricket fans and honour to Pakistan.”

HBL PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer:

“The Pakistan Super League has come a long way since its inception. Marking a decade of cricketing excellence, the 10th edition of the HBL PSL was more than just a milestone – it was a celebration of passion, resilience and unity. HBL PSL X shattered numerous records, from viewership to fan engagement, reaffirming the league’s place as a powerhouse in the world of sports.

“The substantial growth in digital engagement, particularly the 647 per cent surge in live streaming, is a testament to the league’s increasing popularity among cricket fans.

“We are proud to present these figures to our long-standing partners, whose continued support has been instrumental in shaping the PSL into one of the most celebrated T20 leagues worldwide. These numbers reflect the trust of our fans and the relentless efforts of everyone involved in the league’s success.

“The diverse and widespread viewership, both in urban and rural areas, shows that the PSL has become a household name across the country. With 3.4 billion live streaming views and a strong digital following of 22 million, the league continues to set new benchmarks in Pakistan’s sporting landscape.

“PSL is not just a tournament, it’s a movement that unites fans across the globe. As we look ahead towards the next decade, we cannot wait to unravel new stories and thrilling experiences for the fans. Exciting times ahead!”

It is because PSL finally started getting good current international players to play in their league instead of retired and rejected players in comparison to previous seasons.
I hope next year PSL attracts more current international players especially from SAF and Aus as they have some of the best T20 players in the world

PSL need to team with Saudi Wealth Fund and develop the brand. Saudi launching its own T20 league will be as stupid as the Chinese Spending billions on the football around 15 years ago. They have the Window and with Saudi money they will get the funding. As we saw the IPL standard was pretty poor and the PSL has a captured market in PKs at home and abroad

Saudis wouldn’t jeopardize their friendship with Sanatanis by engaging with Pakistan in cricket. They have always prioritized India.
