PTI leader Shahbaz Gill arrested for anti-Army statements

this is now downright badmashi and terrorism. The imported government has stopped to levels below Fascism and dictatorship.

They are just desperate- they want to beat a confession out of him so that IK is implicated and they can arrest him. These thugs are thick as thieves and their supporters are even bigger idiots. He has been tortured and that alone is enough for the SC to intervene.

Pti senators spoke against shabaz today. :)) So this is the party that cant even back its own representatives.

Stop lying.

You, Dawn and Geo are on a mission to degrade the quality of discourse everywhere with propaganda.

Now provide proof of ppp not being corrupt, I am still waiting.

Also, whole Pakistani nation was laughing when ppps old leaders met their maker :)

You can make a thread on ppp or ask this question there instead of derailing this thread.

He is being treated for his loud mouth and batameezi.

After this i wont be surprised if he runs of to america

Try to remember things, knowing you, even if you see a follow up post you ignore it and post your ''stuff'' to deflect.

There are multiple threads already on said topics, instead of skirting around facts, provide proof of ppp being a normal political party in said threads. While you are at it also prove maryam is innocent and never insulted Pak army, else you will be classified as a fascist mafia supporter.

Continue derailing threads..

Since yesterday you lied that miftah used his own money rather than governments to fund his 7 star hotel stay when begging money from IMF, that a PTI senator criticized Shehbaz Gills statement (a lie also propagated by geo and dawn who are paid by convicted criminal nani on bail) and that ppp is a clean and normal political party, you always run away when your lies are challenged and act as if no thread on ppps corruption exists even though if you are sincere you can read subsequent posts and notice if you have proof you can bump said threads and prove us wrong there. If you had proof you can bump the threads yourself instead of acting ignorant by playing smart and telling me to create already existing threads.

Since you mock and accuse reputed and renowned journalists for lies even though chor parties never challenged them in court ( as unlike you, said journalists are right) and kept deflecting by asking for proof, why not for a change prove here that the PTI senator criticized Gill, I am waiting as you are posting lies.

Point being if you actually lie then dare to tell those who post accepted facts to provide proof, you will be challenged and told to provide proof.

Gill has been handed over to isb police. They have shifted him to pims where his health on video doesnt look great.

Adyalla jail is under punjab govt, wonder what they did with him

Nothing. He was tortured by your thugs. This is the fascist govt we feared but tbh, even I didn't think it would be this bad. And as we know Bajwa won't be there for ever and IA the book will be on the other foot.

Another idiotic post buy you have come to specialise on silly Posts. Neither being a loud mouth or being batameez is illegal. If they were then your current best buddy and his double shifts wouldn't have lasted long. Lets face it there is nothing left for you guys except beat up people. Kaptaan will wipe the floor with you and i would go as far as to say that he would wipe away the stain that is the PPP from rural Sindh in a free election.

Horrific scenes in PK. I fear for PK as the imports seem to throwing a hail Mary without fear. I dare say none of us imagined it would come to this but it has.

So are you so should you be put in the Hospital?

Is that how we should behave in a civilized society?

I am afraid things are about to turn for the worst. Voldermort has no plans on retiring. There is a serious effort to try and create a national crisis that will allow the existing government or an extra-constitutional process to take reins. I feel terrible for SG, who said nothing that raises to the level of crime or punishment being meted out to him. All SG said was that officers (which includes judiciary, bureaucracy and the military) are bound by their oaths of office to not accept an illegal order, that contravenes the law or constitution of the land. This is part of an oath all military officers at charge of commission take. How that rises to this level makes little sense.

SG might not survive - because the establishment and imported government has made a major mistake. By doing what they are doing to a dual national (which I believe he is), each of the characters in this saga have opened themselves up to many HR laws and obligations in Europe and the US. SG can go after each major player and their assets in these countries. This makes what they did to SG dumb beyond belief but also can show us that having gone down this path they are likely going to take this to a new level where SG's life might be in danger. Because if SG survives he can go after all characters and their assets in the West. Even SG's family can go after these people in the case of his demise.

Voldermort is going nuts and almost seems he is going for a scorched earth philosophy. At this point he is acting in a manner where this seems to have become personal. I think at this point this is even beyond financial and extension considerations. PML either have Voldermort completely blackmailed or Voldermort is compromised. Nothing else makes sense.

You need to watch and read his statements. His comments were disgusting with no decency. Funny thing is what he said about others is what he got.

Also, it all happened in adyalla jail which is under punjab police, not isb police

Also, let us know when nani who actually abused Pak army will rot in jail and be forced to repay the money she and her deported criminal father stole from Pakistan.

And so are nearly every Noora politicians. So what is your point?

When did pmln politicians said they were gonna make others wear dogs collar, or when did they talk about shoving up things into the opposition?

These statements were made by shebaz gill, too bad this guy is a newbie and dint understand that in pakistani politics you dont make suxh statements.

He is the most hated politicians in the political circles, if you follow the current and watch their interviews alot of them hate gill because of his foul mouth.

It was only time that this was gonna happen.

Best for him to go back to USA. His own party didnt bother to visit him in jail or even help him. Infact, they went on to to bash him in senate. Even IK wanted to dostance himself from gills recent comments against the army.

Atleast when tarar was targetted his party stood by him.

Anyways, gill should fly back to the usa and just teach. If he wants to continue being a politician than he will have to tone it down.

Rana sanaullah went throw it, and najem sethi also went throw it in the 90s.

He wanted IRK beaten because he didn't like his narrative and he wants SG beaten because he gave his ladlay a tough time.

RAWALPINDI: After a two-hour long stand-off with Rawalpindi police, the capital’s police force finally managed to get the custody of PTI leader Dr Shahbaz Gill and moved him to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Wednesday night.

Later, Pims set up a five-member board to examine Mr Gill’s condition.

A judicial magistrate had granted a two-day physical remand of Mr Gill and ordered the Islamabad police to conduct a medical examination.

However, Mr Gill, who was booked in a sedition case, was being held at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, which falls within the jurisdiction of the Punjab government.

In a bid to thwart the handover, arrangements were made to move Mr Gill to Raw*a*l*pindi District Head*quarters (DHQ) Hospital after he complained of breathing trouble, even though jail authorities were convinced that they had the facilities to treat Mr Gill.

Sources said a police party, led by Rawalpindi City Police Officer Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, reached the prison to comply with Punjab home department’s orders to shift Mr Gill to DHQ hospital.

On the other side, a team of Islamabad police, led by the SSP Operations, remained outside the jail to take him into custody.

As the stand-off intensified, the interior ministry mulled calling Rangers to force the handover, per unconfirmed reports. However, no such movement was witnessed on the ground.

Earlier in the day, an Islamabad sessions judge sent Mr Gill on a two-day physical remand upon the request of Islamabad police.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry accepted the application filed by the Islamabad Advocate General Jahangir Khan Jadoon.

Special Prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi pleaded that the remand was needed for further investigation and to collect the evidence. He argued that police have nominated Mr Gill in an FIR and his specific role in the case has been identified.

The recovery of his mobile phone was imperative to identify the ‘co conspirators’ and ‘those who wrote the script’, the prosecutor argued.

After hearing the arguments, ADSJ Chaudhry, while giving him into police custody for 48 hours, ordered them to get Mr Gill medically examined forthwith.

She also directed police to produce him before a judicial magistrate after the expiry of the two-day remand.

Mr Gill’s counsel had opposed the handover to the police and subsequently challenged the remand order.

After the court’s order, PTI Chairman Imran Khan took to Twitter to express his concerns over the move to send Mr Gill into police remand for the second time.

A tweet posted on the former prime minister’s official account said: “Very concerned about Shahbaz Gill being sent into police remand again. He is in a fragile state of mental & physical health because of the torture inflicted on him when he was abducted & taken to undisclosed location & then again at the police station.”

Mr Khan added that this was part of a conspiracy to target him and the PTI through a false confession, obtained through coercion.

While calling the action “absolutely unacceptable” Mr Khan vowed to take “all legal and political actions” to counter the alleged torture on Mr Gill and the “unconstitutional and illegal actions” agains the party leaders.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders traded barbs with federal government minister over the grant of physical remand of senior party leader Shehbaz Gill to the Islamabad police on the order of the additional sessions court on Wednesday.

Gill, who was lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail after being sent on judicial remand by a judicial magistrate, was handed over to the Islamabad police late on Wednesday after high drama at the jail because the authorities were reluctant about his transfer to the federal capital.

According to some media reports, the jail authorities insisted that prisoners of the Adiala jail underwent medical check-ups at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Rawalpindi, taking the stand that the medical team from Islamabad could not check the prisoners.

After reports of a stand-off between the police teams of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the Interior Ministry had summoned Rangers and the Frontier Corps (FC) to execute the court orders. Another report suggested that the jail authorities were warned of a contempt of court case if they did not hand over Gill.

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb accused PTI Chairman Imran Khan of blatantly violating court orders and putting undue pressure on the bureaucracy of Punjab over Gill’s custody. She said the PTI disregarded all laws, as it was using every tactic to protect Gill from the investigation.

Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran tweeted that Gill was in a fragile state of mental and physical health because of the torture inflicted upon him following his arrest. Terming Gill’s arrest a conspiracy to target him and the PTI, Imran said that he would take legal action against these extra-Constitutional actions.

“Very concerned about Shahbaz Gill being sent into police remand again. He is in a fragile state of mental & physical health because of the torture inflicted on him when he was abducted & taken to undisclosed location & then again at the police station,” Imran said in a series of tweets.

“This is part of conspiracy to target me & PTI by forcibly getting false statements against us similar to what they have been doing against social media activists. This is absolutely unacceptable. We will take all legal & pol actions to counter not only this torture being inflicted upon Shahbaz Gill but also any such extra-Constitutional & extra-legal actions being devised against us.”

Earlier, senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry demanded inquiry into “the torture on Gill”. Talking to reporters, he stressed that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) should conduct the inquiry, voicing hope that the court would decide the matter on merit.

Chaudhry told reporters that only the PTI could keep Pakistan united. He alleged that at present, the basic human rights were suspended in Pakistan. “People are being kidnapped and tortured for the personal ego of the rulers,” he added.

Later, the Islamabad Police rejected all allegations levelled by the PTI leadership. A police spokesperson said that Gill was not subjected to any kind of violence during his physical remand. The spokesperson added that Gill underwent regular medical check-ups, on the directions of the court and judges.

The spokesperson clarified that the Islamabad police has completed all legal requirements on the orders of the court. He added that the authorities would adhere to the orders and expected that the jail administration would cooperate in this regard.

Meanwhile, reacting to information minister’s remarks, PTI leader Farrukh Habib claimed that Marriyum Aurangzeb had been tasked to spread propaganda against PTI. “She should first comment on her own party leaders who are currently summoned by the courts,” he said.

“Imran Khan has never encouraged violation of laws,” the PTI leader said, adding that it was the plan of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to force Gill to give a statement against the party chairman by torturing him.

It's quite instructive that the resident fascist supporter actually supports torture and extra judicial beatings. Where's your human rights now? Just remember the wheel eventually turns and the families you support will face a reckoning..

That is very big of you, would you like a prize. Another silly post based on your dishonesty. Arshad Sharif had committed no crime except to challenge your criminals and he was about to be taken in and tortured by the mafia and those circumstances he left. It was a sensible decision. Talking about leaving, most of the Sharifs have absconded and with your govts full connivance( they even sit on meetings and go abroad on tours) These guys are charged and convicted with money laundering and corruption, o when are they being brought back? Arshad Sharif wasn't charged with anything. And didn't AZ run off in 2015 when NS was PM. Why was that? Maybe you lost respect for Billo because his daddy is cowered without the mafia henchmen:)):))

You are right about NS. Which is why NS loses respected in pakistani politics. Whenever there is an issue he doesn face the music and runs away. So i agree with you there.

Zardari moves around, he does return as he is an mna. He hasnt really faced any real chij kusic that nawaz has, nawaz running away is what destroying the party

Loses respect? Major he is making the decisions and your parry is part of this. The mafia don't care for respect, do you think they care for ghairat? These were the same guys that calling each other everything under the sun until 4 years ago
Look back at AZ and his disappearing act under NS? Did you lose respect for him? Your silly posts continue. Arshad Sharif would have been beaten to pulp, and all because your thugs can't go to elections because 80% of the country hates them.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday summoned authorities to appear before it while hearing Shahbaz Gill’s plea against his physical remand.

The officials had reached court, where the hearing was set to begin.

A day earlier, a judicial magistrate had granted Islamabad police two-day physical remand of Gill and ordered officials to conduct a medical examination.

However, the PTI leader, who was booked in a sedition case, was being held at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, which falls within the jurisdiction of the Punjab government where the party is in power along with PML-Q.

What crime has Arshad committed? Can you show what the case is? Where its registered? I know your debate levels are very poor but you do now Nawaz Sharif is a convict. This is getting sad where i have to correct you on such a basic level.

Apparently he is being tortured over things like

- What does IK like to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner?
- What are his favourite resteraunts? What does he like to order from there?
- Who is his cook?

Pretty clear what the PDM is planning to do. They have already done the same with the 3 NAB officers who were the primary prosecutors in the Shabhaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz Rs 16 billion money laundering case and Maqsood Chaprasi.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday allowed embattled PTI leader Shahbaz Gill's lawyers to meet him, and sought a report from the Islamabad police chief over reports of alleged torture on him while in custody.

IHC Acting Chief Justice Aamer Farooq took up Gill's plea against his physical remand and ordered authorities to allow Gill's counsels to hold a meeting with their client at the hospital he is undergoing treatment at.

As the IHC hearing into PTI's plea against Gill's physical remand resumed today, the police's alleged mistreatment of him was at the centre of proceedings.

The Islamabad advocate general, additional attorney general and top police officials were summoned to the court, where the prosecutor insisted the firebrand party leader was not tortured.

According to the court order, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, the judge ordered the report to be submitted on August 22 (Monday).

The order said that the place of Gill's confinement should be informed to his friends and he himself should also be informed about his right to a counsel's assistance and communication with friends and family.

Furthermore, the court order said that Adiala jail officials did not give a "satisfactory" explanation regarding the delay in Gill being handed over to the Islamabad police and were ordered to submit a written explanation, along with the relevant record, before the next hearing.

In a bid to thwart the handover, arrangements were made to move Gill to Raw*a*l*pindi District Head*quarters (DHQ) Hospital after he complained of breathing difficulties.

A standoff ensued but the Islamabad police finally managed to get Gill's custody and moved him to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Wednesday night.

The PTI has claimed that Gill has been tortured during his incarceration. The party has also alleged that the PTI leader is being coerced into making a statement against party chief Imran Khan.

PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, whose party is part of the ruling alliance, has lashed out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government for the “physical torture” of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in police custody.

“Have seen very disturbing pictures of physical torture on Shahbaz Gill. No matter how much you disagree with or dislike him, a man’s dignity should not have been violated like this,” the senator wrote on his official Twitter handle on Thursday.

“Either the govt of [Prime Minister] Mian Shahbaz is complicit or spineless to prevent such atrocity! Shame on us,” he added.

Did you understand the distinction between Arshad an innocent person with no cases and convict on the run. Or would you like me to explain in more detail

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Imran Khan’s chief of staff Dr Shahbaz Gill has been shifted to Kohsar police station from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital, ARY News reported.

A team from Islamabad’s Kohsar police station reached PIMS hospital to shift Shahbaz Gill after a six-member medical board of the hospital declared him ‘fit’ after checking his medical reports.

The PTI leader will be presented before the court today. The police will seek an extension in Gill’s physical remand on the basis of medical reports

ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad court on Friday suspended physical remand of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill until Monday after reserving verdict on a police plea for his eight-day physical remand in a case under sedition charges, ARY NEWS reported.

The court while rejecting the plea of extension in physical remand, directed the Islamabad police to transfer him to PIMS Hospital and conduct a complete medical check-up of the suspect.

The session judge Raja Farrukh Ali wondered if Gill was in a healthy condition then why he was brought in an ambulance. “The physical remand of Gill has not yet begun,” he said while rejecting a plea from PTI leaders that his remand has been completed.

Shebaz gill ke sansay nikali wei hai.

This guy used to give threats to others..

Pims medical board has declared him fit and alfight, there is nothing wrong with him. Yet he shows dramaybazi for the cams. Should be handed over to isb police now

Have to admit - lot of drama in there but in Pakistan, everyone exaggerates!

No need to discuss this subhuman person.

No need to discuss this subhuman person.

I agree with you say This was a mirror for [MENTION=135038]Major[/MENTION]
He keeps talking about PTI being the source of the abuse but when his hero attacks his other hero, he disappears. It was the same with him calling out IK for using the term Diesel but in actuality the term was coined by the Nooras well over a decade and as per form he disappeared

No need to discuss this subhuman person.

He was most likely behind the idea of torturing Gill.

Pakistan as a nation is turning into a joke.

People power is nothing if these people cant come out and stop a man being sexually tortured.

IK needs to move in a different method now, a revolution is needed. Sadly it will be bloody but its time to end the corrupt Army and corrupt politicians once and for all.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has directed to provide maximum legal and moral assistance to Shahbaz Gill besides expressing serious concerns over subjecting the politician to severe torture in police custody, ARY News reported on Friday.

Imran Khan chaired a consultative session today for reviewing the current political situation and PTI’s strategy. He directed the party leaders to expedite the preparations for the PTI rally scheduled on August 21.

Imran Khan will also lead a rally in Rawalpindi on Saturday (tomorrow) which will be concluded at F-9 Park Islamabad to demand the release of Gill.

The former premier directed the PTI legal team to vigorously fight Gill’s case.

Earlier in the day, an Islamabad court suspended the physical remand of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill until Monday after reserving a verdict on a police plea for his eight-day physical remand in a case under sedition charges.

The court while rejecting the plea for extension in physical remand, directed the Islamabad police to transfer him to PIMS Hospital and conduct a complete medical check-up of the suspect.

During the session, Khan also expressed concerns over the suspension of ARY News transmission. He said that ARY News was being deliberately victimised by such revengeful moves. The PTI chief expressed sorrow that it was deplorable to not restore the ARY News transmission despite court orders.

In another development today, the Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected a plea from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to annul a stay order on a show-cause notice issued by the authority to ARY NEWS.

During the last hearing, the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued the written order regarding the restoration of the ARY News transmission and sought a compliance report from the parties within two days.

The high court stated in its four-page written order that the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has the power to take disciplinary action against those creating hurdles in the transmission of the television channels.

Rejecting the reports claiming PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was subjected to severe torture and sexually abused during Islamabad Police custody, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the detained leader is "staging a drama".

During a telephonic conversation with Geo News, Rana Sanaullah said, “Imran Khan is lying as usual that gruesome torture was inflicted on Shahbaz Gill.”

He maintained that if Khan thinks that someone has committed any abuse, he should file an application against him.

Responding to a question, the interior minister warned PTI of legal action against attacking the Pakistan Institute Of Medical Sciences (PIMS) or Islamabad’s Red Zone.

A day earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan announced nationwide rallies to show solidarity with his chief of staff, Shahbaz Gill after the former premier claimed his party leader faced “sexual abuse” in police custody.

“I will lead a rally in Islamabad tomorrow [...] and rallies will be held in all divisional headquarters across the country,” the PTI chairman told journalists after he was barred from meeting Gill at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

PTI leaders have demanded the release of Gill from police custody and repeatedly claimed that he was tortured.

Amnesty International has also raised concerns over reports regarding the PTI leader.

Meanwhile, a district and sessions court Friday ordered the police to send Shahbaz Gill to the PIMS for a reassessment of his health.

“Shahbaz Gill’s condition is not fine,” the court remarked while announcing the verdict reserved by duty judge Judicial Magistrate Raja Farrukh Ali Khan.

The authorities have been directed to keep him in PIMS till Monday.

Gill was presented before the court early morning. He was escorted by the police to court in a wheelchair from the PIMS after being deemed “fit” by a medical board.

Strict security arrangements were in place outside the court.

ISLAMABAD: After a court in the capital declined to hand over his custody to Islamabad police in view of his fragile condition, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday alleged that his close aide Shahbaz Gill was “sexually abused” and “tortured both mentally and physically” by investigators during the ongoing probe against him for making “seditious remarks”.

Mr Khan also announced countrywide rallies to express solidarity with his chief of staff, who is incarcerated in a sedition case, vowing to seek justice for the PTI leader currently being treated in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims). The capital police said they did not inflict torture on Shahbaz Gill so who were the individuals responsible for the torture of Mr Gill, the PTI chief asked.

“There is a general perception in the public at large and in our minds too, as to who could have carried out the gruesome torture. Remember, the public will react. We will leave no stone unturned to find those responsible and bring them to justice,” Mr Khan said in his tweet.

“All the pictures and videos show clearly Gill was tortured both mentally and physically, including sexual abuse – most too gruesome to relate. He was humiliated to break him down. I now have full detailed information,” the former premier tweeted.

Mr Khan urged his party supporters to take to the streets today in the federal capital and all regional headquarters to protest against the detention and alleged torture inflicted on Mr Gill. The PTI chairman urged people to join the rally to show their resolve against the torture.

Rally in Islamabad

Meanwhile, in a video clip shared on the party’s official Twitter account, Fawad Chaudhry said that the PTI “strongly condemned worst kind of torture” on Mr Gill. He added the PTI would hold a rally at Jinnah Avenue from China Chowk to F-9 Park in the federal capital and in all regional headquarters.

Mr Chaudhry said Imran Khan will lead the rally in Islamabad and will address the party workers at the park which will be shown at all regional headquarters through a video link. The PTI leader further claimed that the party has acquired pictures and doctors’ certificates to corroborate their claims and they have been forwarded to the authorities concerned.

Earlier, PTI leaders Babar Awan and Shahzad Wasim also held a joint press conference where they alleged that that Mr Gill was sexually abused and tortured.

However, the Islamabad administration said the PTI will not be allowed to hold a rally in the federal capital and added that Section 144 was in force in the city. The PTI, however, refused to comply with the directives and Fawad Chaudhry said the rally will proceed as planned.

On the other hand, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a statement PTI chairman Imran Khan has to get a court order if he wanted to meet Shahbaz Gill in custody. Her statement came after Mr Khan went to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital to meet Gill but he was denied. “He is not a monarch to go anywhere he wants,” she added.

Court hearing

When Judicial Magistrate Raja Farrukh Ali Khan took up a police application seeking Mr Gill’s eight-day physical remand, the PTI legal team opposed any further extension of the remand.

The counsel for Mr Gill argued that the instant case was registered without the prior permission of the federal government.

The defence counsel argued that Gill was “subjected to fierce physical and mental torture” and they placed on record an application for registration of first information report (FIR) against the delinquents and alleged torturers.

The counsel also expressed doubt on the medical board report, saying it deliberately did not place the report regarding the state of the accused lungs before the court.

The report, issued late on Thursday night, said Mr Gill was discharged as he was clinically stable, and advised him some medication.

The judge observed that “under the attending circumstances of the case in hand, I am inclined to hand over the custody of the accused to police for 48 hours today. The accused be sent back to Pims Hospital for thorough investigation regarding asthma and respiratory disease.”

IRK made a very valid point when he said that had these been one of the mafia guys the Western media would have covered this from head to toe. Western embassies would be releasing statements left, right and centre because the mafia are their assets. Unfortunately these guys aren't and no one cares

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday called for the formation of an independent panel to investigate Shahbaz Gill’s torture allegations.

The former information minister suggested the names of PTI's Shireen Mazari, PPP Senator Mustafa Khokar and PML-N's Khwaja Saad Rafique to probe the custodial torture claims.

“In my personal opinion, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and Dr. Shireen Mazari should form a panel to investigate the torture being inflicted on Shahbaz Gill, and to bring those involved in it to the forefront,” he wrote.

“This way, there would be no accusations of the panel being pro-PTI either,” he added.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said that a graphic video shared by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders was "fake" and being used as a "ploy to raise false narratives in a bid to distract from PTI leader Shahbaz Gill's controversial statement".

During a press conference in Islamabad, she also shared a ‘recent video’ purportedly showing Gill standing up and looking healthy despite claims made by former prime minister Imran Khan and other PTI leaders that he was tortured and sexually abused.

"Shahbaz Gill has not been tortured and only fake propaganda is being spread in this regard. When he (Gill) comes in front of the camera, he starts acting," she said.

Marriyum said that a video of a rapist in Chakwal, who was tortured by the locals after he sexually assaulted a child, is being attributed to Gill.

"They are only playing one half of the video and saying that it is Shahbaz Gill's video and he has been subjected to sexual violence. Playing fake videos and pictures falls under cybercrime. Efforts are being made to connect this propaganda with freedom of speech," she added.

The information minister said that an inquiry is being conducted on court's order and all the evidence will be presented in front of the media by the interior minister soon.

She lashed out at the misbehaviour being conducted on social media on the pretext of the alleged fake video of Gill.

"This narrative was initiated by Imran Khan and his aim is to change the story entirely. He wants to change the scenario after he was bashed for dirty and vile campaign against the martyrs of the Lasbela helicopter which was followed by trolls of PTI caught," she added.

The minister said that Gill used platform of a private TV channel and gave scripted beeper at the request of Imran Khan. "Their aim is to change the story of what Gill has done on the orders of his party chief," she added.

Marriyum said that PTI's ‘entire propaganda machine’ is being used to spread fake news. "The fact is Gill gave a call for mutiny... he breached the red lines given in the Constitution," she added.

She said a case was lodged against the PTI leader, he was arrested for his controversial remarks and an investigation is underway.

Marriyum further said that the government was against torture on anyone but fake propaganda will not be tolerated.

The PTI is taking out a rally in Islamabad tonight from Zero Point to F-9 park (Fatima Jinnah Park) to express solidarity with embattled party leader Shahbaz Gill and record a protest against the “blatant fascism prevalent under [the] imported regime!”.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan is himself leading the rally from Zero Point and will later address it.

Yes, some of his points in that freedom of speech seminar were that he and ARY reporters went out of their way in criticizing those who arrested and attacked pdm chor loving journalists like Hamid Mir. A poster here kept lying by saying ARY never spoke up for geo and its traitor journalists. He also mentioned that there are so many embassies in Islamabad, none of them said a word when he was being abused and unjustifiably arrested, but when their paid agents from geo are arrested/harassed, they immediately speak up. He said the reason for this is that likes of himself and ARY are pro Pakistan and army and not lifafas of foreign interests, hopefully army can realize this.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Saturday announced to lodge cases on Inspector General, Deputy IG Islamabad for torturing Shahbaz Gill, ARY News reported.

Addressing the participants of the rally in Islamabad the PTI Chief thanked them and other workers from all across the country for coming out on a 24-hour notice.

He added that Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Maryam Aurangzeb, and Khwaja Asif said more severe things about the armed forces but they did not have to face a response such as Shahbaz Gill.

Imran Khan added that the government is trying to submerge people’s voices by suspending ARY News transmission. They banned ARY News because it voiced public interest and PTI’s narrative, he added.

He added that this is a defining moment for the country, if we bow down to this fear then we will be slaves forever. We have to fight against these atrocities, the nation has risen up, he added.

He added that they will not forget the violence against peaceful protestors on May 25 amid PTI’s long march. All of that was done to make us accept these thieves, he added.

He added that they tortured Shahbaz Gill and tortured him for two days. We would lodge cases on IG, DIG Islamabad, magistrate Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, Fazlur Rehman and Maryam Aurangzeb, he added.

He added that when they inquired Islamabad police about their atrocities, they said that they were pressurized by other forces.

He added that it was ARY News that broadcasted the people who came out after his ouster, which is why they were targeted. They targeted anchors such as Sabir Shakir, Arshad Sharif and other famous anchors for supporting PTI, he added.

The former premier said that people who think they can stop our revolution by threatening media are misled. He would hold public gatherings all across the country from tomorrow with the Rawalpindi gathering, he added.

Dawn, geo and samaa spreading fake images and videos of a geo employee and trying to portray him as Shehbaz Gill. Shameless nooras like hina butt and sharif family nurse maryam aurangzeb are further spreading the lies and even hosted an entire press conference to propagate their lies.

So much for Dawn and their supporter here who kept praising them and claiming that they have ''credibility''.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Sunday said the government was holding legal consultations on whether to file a separate case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan for his “provocative speech” a day ago or nominate him in a previous case.

In a press conference in Islamabad, the minister called out Imran for allegedly threatening institutions and preventing officers from performing their lawful duties.

Key developments so far

Interior minister says case against Imran under consideration for yesterday’s speech
Says torture claims against Gill seek to divert attention from his ‘anti-state remarks’
Imran had warned that cases would be filed against judge and police officers
Islamabad Police says anyone passing’threats’ will face legal action
Marriyum says ‘foreign agent’ Imran wants ‘civil war’
Fawad questions govt’s ‘fear’ of investigating torture claims

“This is all happening in continuation — from a campaign after Lasbela incident when six army officers were martyred followed by Gill’s attempt to incite army ranks to go against their top command and then Imran threatening a woman judge and police officials for performing their duties as per the law,” the minister explained.

Imran claimed in a rally that the Islamabad police was taking orders for action against his party leaders from “someone”.

“When I asked the police to tell me what did you do to Shahbaz Gill, they said ‘we did nothing, we got a boot from behind to follow orders’,” he told the rally participants on Saturday while announcing plans to move the Supreme Court against the alleged torture of Gill.

Imran also warned the judiciary against its “biased” attitude towards his party, saying that it should brace itself for the consequences.

The former premier had also taken exception to Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry, who had approved Gill’s two-day physical remand at the request of the capital police, and said she should “prepare herself as action would be taken against her”.

In his presser today, Sanaullah said his ministry had prepared a report and it was conferring with the Islamabad advocate general and the law ministry, adding it would take a couple of days to reach a final decision.

He once again cast aspersions on the PTI’s claims of Gill being tortured during detention, questioning why Gill had thus far not filed an application or named an official who allegedly subjected him to torture.

“This is all drama just to divert attention from his anti-state remarks made on ARY News and the campaign over Lasbela incident,” the minister claimed.

Gill’s remarks against army were a ‘set plan’

The minister claimed that his ministry had proof in the form of a telephonic conversation allegedly revealing Gill’s understanding with ARY News workers about uninterrupted 14-minute airtime to be given to him for speaking against the army.

“How could he provoke army officers to disobey the orders of their top command?” he asked.

Sanallah said Gill termed a tier of certain officers as patriotic and labelled the “top command as unpatriotic”.

He narrated that many politicians would have spoken about the establishment’s alleged interference in politics by naming them, saying many retired officers of the establishment had also written books and admitted the past mistakes.

But, Gill took a name of all ranks terming them patriots and instigating them against the top command, he lamented.

The minister termed Gill remarks as “serious and unforgivable”.

‘No torture’

The interior minister ruled out the PTI claims that their party leader was assaulted as well as sexually abused during custody, saying Gill remained in police custody from Aug 9-11 and subsequently he was sent on judicial remand for six days from Aug 12 to Aug 17.

“Not a single complaint was filed by him about torture and his condition deteriorated only after his remand was extended on Aug 17,” the minister said.

He said Imran was struggling to defend the statement made by Gill, hence “he made up a story of Gill’s torture to divert focus from his anti-Pakistan statements”.

The minister insisted that Gill was being served all meals on time amid proper care.

He accused the PTI of concocting stories as part of “damage control”, adding the government would expose the alleged plot.

‘PTI to face stronger action than May 25 protest if long march held’
Sanaullah also warned Imran of stronger action than what was done during the May 25 ‘Azadi March’ to PTI activists if his party went ahead with its plans.

However, he did not elaborate on whether the Imran-led party would be outrightly denied permission for the protest or there would be a conditional permit.

“If he [Imran] again takes such a step, the decision will be taken at the moment,” the minister added.

‘Why is govt scared of investigating Gill’s torture?’

Responding to the minister’s assertions, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the government was labouring under the belief that “closed rooms” could save it from the nation’s wrath.

In a press conference in Islamabad, Fawad questioned how Sanaullah was being “tolerated” as the country’s interior minister. He highlighted how the PML-N leader had supposedly made controversial statements while speaking in the Punjab Assembly.

He also expressed surprise at how the minister was “dismissing” allegations of Gill being tortured when he himself had experienced something similar in the past. The ex-minister said: “If Gill hasn’t been tortured, why are those in power afraid of an investigation into the matter?”

Fawad reiterated his call for the formation of an independent panel to probe the alleged torture of Gill. He also wondered who was responsible if not the Islamabad police.

Referring to Imran’s speech on Saturday, Fawad played down the allegations that the former premier had threatened Islamabad police and a judge. He also played a video clip of the interior minister to “draw a comparison” between a real threat and taking a legal course of action against someone.

He went on to say that torture should be condemned unequivocally, and urged politicians to refrain from “polluting politics”.

In his address on Saturday, Imran had threatened to file cases against the police, bureaucracy, the Election Com*m*ission of Pakistan and political opp*o*nents over the treatment allegedly meted out to his chief of staff Shahbaz Gill.

The PTI chief again called on the “neutrals” — a euphemism he uses for the military establishment — to stand with the nation rather than the “gang of thieves”, in reference to the ruling coalition.

He said he wanted to ask the neutrals if they were “really neutral”. He had also alleged that the Islamabad police was taking orders for action against his party leaders from ‘someone’.

The ex-PM had announced that he would present a roadmap to the public in the party’s rally at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh on Sunday (today), adding he planned to take to the streets across the country from today.

Islamabad police vow action against ‘false allegations’

Earlier, the Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICT) responded to warnings issued by PTI Chairman Imran Khan against the capital police a day ago, saying “anyone threatening the police or making false accusations will be dealt with according to the law”.

Reacting to the PTI chief’s statement, the capital police said in a tweet that it will continue to perform its duties “diligently”.

It said the police had taken an oath “to serve the nation at all times”.

“All officers are rendering their services with complete responsibility and continue to discharge them. The police is an organised institution and we are bound to perform our duties come what may,” the ICT said.

It added that the police could not indulge in any mismanagement.

The capital police reiterated that it will take lawful action against “all false allegations”.

PTI chief slammed for ‘threatening a judge’

Earlier, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said Imran would have to face the law for “threatening and hurling abuse” at the magistrate and police officers.

In a tweet, the minister said the PTI chief will not be allowed “to challenge the writ of the state by inciting rebellion”.

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the PTI chairman had become a “threat” for Pakistan and its security.

“By challenging national institutions and the state writ, he is inciting the people to violence, lawlessness, rebellion and riot. Imran Khan wants a civil war in the country,” she tweeted.

Federal Minister for Railways and Aviation Khwaja Saad Rafique also lashed out at the PTI chief for attacking a magistrate and police in his speech, saying the judicial action was inevitable after he “openly threatened” the judge.

PPP leader Farhatullah Babar also censured the ex-PM for hurling a threat at law enforcement personnel and a judge.

“Naming a woman judge and threatening her publicly for alleged transgression but calling powerful transgressors merely as X and Y is not courage,” he tweeted.

Pemra bans live broadcast of Imran’s speeches
Soon after Imran’s speech, the electronic media regulator slapped a ban on all satellite TV channels from carrying the PTI chief’s speeches live.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) communiqué — issued late at night — held that channels had failed to implement a time-delay mechanism which could curtail such occurrences.

In a four-page document that included a specific reference to Imran’s speech on Saturday night, where he had targeted police and judicial officers, the regulator said that only recorded speeches could be telecast, and those too would only be allowed if a time-delay mechanism was in place.

Apparently the imports have registered cases against IK for stating that he will register cases against the Islamabad police and the corrupt judge for their illegal actions. Do these idiots know how stupid they look. Where do these jahils come from?

Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar has made new revelations about the alleged torture on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Shahbaz Gill in police custody, ARY News reported on Sunday.

Hashim Dogar paid a surprise visit to the Adiala Jail where Dr Shahbaz Gill was kept by the police force.

More revelations were made about the mentioning of torture marks on Gill’s body in jail records. The home minister said that the jail staff examined Shahbaz Gill’s health when he was brought to Adiala Jail in accordance with the regulations.

“During the medical examination, unusual torture marks appeared on Gill’s body. The medical officer mentioned the torture marks in its initial report on the jail register.”

“As per regulations, the jail superintendent is bound to tell the judge and police regarding the wounds of the inmate. Jail superintendent did not inform anyone regarding the torture marks on Gill’s body.”

Dogar said that legal action will be taken against the jail superintendent and the concerned officials over the negligence.

Earlier, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah rejected allegations of torture on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill in police custody.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Rana Sanaullah said PML-N is against any kind of torture. He said our government believes that torture is against the dignity of a man and a violation of the constitution.

The minister said the story of the torture of Shahbaz Gill is a drama to divert the attention from the original matter.

He said an FIR was lodged against Shahbaz Gill as per law for instigating army officers and soldiers. He said the state cannot tolerate such malicious conspiracies.

Rana Sanaullah said Shahbaz Gill was produced before a judicial magistrate within twenty-four hours and he was absolutely fine and did not complain of torture.

He said on the 11th of this month medical board did not indicate any torture in its report. He said Shahbaz Gill was not tortured by Islamabad Police.

Inquiry committee completes Gill’s torture investigation
PTI leaders have provided unverified photographs of Gill’s body parts to the committee, says sources

LAHORE: The inquiry committee on Sunday completed the investigation into the allegations of torture on PTI leader and Chief of Staff of Imran Khan Shahbaz Gill under the supervision of Islamabad IGP Akbar Nasir.

On the other hand, the newly-formed medical board to examine Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Shahbaz Gill was reconstituted on Sunday. Sources privy to the matter said that four PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhary, Raja Khurram, Ali Awan and Usman Dar appeared before the inquiry committee to record their statements.

According to sources, the PTI leaders have provided unverified photographs of Gill’s body parts to the committee and when they were asked about the source and timing of the pictures, the party leaders could not give a satisfactory answer. The committee also recorded the statements of the doctors and prepared a report, which would be submitted to the Islamabad High Court on Monday.

Meanwhile, the sources said the member of medical board Dr Atif Inam has left it due to his clinical engagements, and General Surgeon Dr Tariq Abdullah of PIMS was inducted into the board. It is pertinent to mention that a four-member medical board was formed to examine PTI leader Shahbaz Gill on Saturday.

The sources also claimed that Shahbaz Gill, admitted to the PIMS in compliance of court’s order, refused to eat anything, saying that he had not been taking any meal since last night. They said it was Gill’s choice not to take any meal and it had nothing to do with the hospital’s administration.

PTI leader and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry said some news surfaced from the PIMS that Shahbaz Gill had started a hunger strike. It is pertinent to mention that the court on Friday had rejected police’s plea for physical remand and ordered to admit the PTI leader to the PIMS till Monday to re-examine his condition.

A word of advice, in future if you ever need to identify someone with their face, there is a simple technique to it. Match the nose and eyebrows. These two things stay the same. Even if the eyebrows hair thins, the nose will still be the same no matter what

Says he is on a hunger strike, within two hours ends up munching on a banana, drinks juice and has a cold drink :)))

Probably made a record for the world's shortest hunger strike

If only Bhagat Singh had these guts. 118 days of hunger strike vs 2 hours of hunger strike :))

The address by PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday evening at Liaquat Bagh and earlier at the F-9 Park have brought him closer to “the inevitable” since registration of another case under serious terrorism offences and hurling threats at the judiciary and officers of law-enforcement agencies have forced the administration for stern action.

Sources told The News here Sunday evening that after many twists and turns in the Shahbaz Gill episode, two days ago an unconditional apology was offered by the high-ups of the former ruling party.

Certain undertakings were also offered but it couldn’t yield any result. It led to an all-out agitation by Imran as a harsh response to the failed exercise. Sources reminded that Imran Khan had come out with a threat earlier on Saturday noon that he had the capacity to seal the federal capital but he was giving a final warning to “people” concerned before going for it.

He also hinted at civil war by indicating “bloodshed”. He is enlarging the scope of his fight against institutions in sheer frustration as he failed to force the government for early polls. Sources said the threat he had hurled at a female judge of Islamabad, who granted two-day remand of Shahbaz Gill, was not only a contemptuous act but he had also challenged the judiciary yet another time.

This time it didn’t go without a notice since the threats and blackmailing were evident in the tone of the PTI chief. The same was repeated on Sunday evening. He asked the “neutrals” to stand with the nation, justice and Pakistan, instead of “thieves”, referring to the ruling alliance.

The sources said that Imran Khan was trying hard to avoid the sword of disqualification hanging over his head on account of serious allegations and defiance of the rules and regulations. He asked the neutrals to stand with the nation, Pakistan and justice and not the government, explicitly urging favours for himself through giving up neutrality.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has raided incarcerated PTI leader Shahbaz Gill's room in the Parliament Lodges late Monday.

During the raid, police personnel recovered weapons, satellite phone, and foreign currency, Geo News reported.

According to details, the raid was carried out under the supervision of a senior superintendent of police (SSP) and Gill accompanied them there with police officials in handcuffs.

A pistol was recovered during the operation; however, Gill refused to take ownership of the weapon.

Apart from weapons, a mobile phone, satellite phone and USBs have also been recovered from the room. Moreover, his wallet, that was missing, has also been recovered in which two of his CNICs were also found. Along with all these two passports were also recovered.

Gill told journalists that he had no clue as to why is wallet was found in the room, claiming that he had left it in the car when he was taken into custody.

“My wallet was usually carried by my driver and the room from where the pistol has been recovered was in use of my guards,” he said.

Replying to the questions of the journalists, Gill confirmed PTI chief Imran Khan's claims regarding being sexually assaulted in police custody.

"Yes, I was sexually abused," said Gill in response to the question.

Police have now taken Gill to Punjab House and is expected to conduct a search operation there as well.

ie. seek Zionist Amreeka's help against supposedly their own 'imported' govt. that they illegally installed, in support of an individual arrested for violating a law that PTI put into motion?!

Am I only one seeing the irony here?
