Imran Khan's political career is almost finished. The court will soon disqualify him for life and strip him of PTI's leadership. So looking at future some questions arise:

1) Who will be next leader of PTI after Imran Khan?

2) How will PTI perform in next elections without Imran Khan?

3) In case PTI get majority in next elections, will the new leader be able to do a better job than Imran Khan?

There will be massive consequences of banning IK. The decision makers need to get one thing straight that the average middle class or that sect of the society that earns and pays taxes is overwhelmingly with IK. Its not easy to simply neglect their opinions afterall they are the main contributors to the GDP of Pakistan. Same goes for overseas Pakistan.

IK is winning the next election, that too with a big majority.

If he is sent to prison he will win the election from jail. If he is killed he will win the election from his grave.

Imran’s dream of coming to power ‘crumbled to dust’
Maryam questions whether PTI chief had come to power on merit

CHISHTIAN:
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Thursday lashed out at PTI Chairman Imran Khan saying the deposed premier’s presence whether in government or in opposition meant “disaster” for the country and added that his dream of coming to power again had been “crumbled to dust”.

Referring to the PTI chairman’s recent statement that the appointment of army chief should be made on “merit”, the PML-N vice president asked Imran if he had come to power by honest means. “An elected premier was removed to appoint you (Imran).”

She made these remarks while addressing a public gathering in Chishtian, Bahawalnagar district.

“The one who censures the institutions cannot be a patriot,” she said.

Maryam said her father and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif thrice remained the premier of the country but was never “allowed” to complete his tenure. “Sometimes after two years and sometimes after two-and-a-half years [Nawaz’s] government was ended.”

The PML-N vice president maintained that the PTI chairman did not have anything to his credit except using “abusive language”.

“Four years ago, Imran’s speech started by addressing Maryam and Nawaz Sharif and ended with their names. Today the situation is the same,” she said.

“Unfortunately, we are dealing with a devil and a wicked person.”

Maryam said she would not launch a personal attack on the PTI chief but instead would contest him politically. “You (Imran) are fitna (chaos) Khan.”

“Whether he is in the government or in opposition, he is a ‘disaster’ for the country.”

The PML-N leader alleged that the PTI chief had the support of foreign forces, saying Imran could do anything for money.

Deliberating on the PTI chairman’s remarks on the female judge, Maryam said Imran was “neither a politician nor his party was a political one”.

“Floods have wreaked havoc in the country but Imran and his [provincial] governments are nowhere to be seen,” she said.

“Your dream of coming to power has been crumbled under dust,” she added.

‘Imported’ govt, handlers moving ahead on ‘minus one’ formula, alleges Imran

PTI chairman Imran Khan alleged on Friday that the “imported government and its handlers” were working on a “minus one formula” as party leaders urged supporters to take to the streets to express solidarity with the former prime minister.

Imran’s statement comes a day after the Islamabad High Court decided to indict him in contempt proceedings over his diatribe at a last month rally in Islamabad against Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry —who had approved PTI leader Shahbaz Gill’s physical remand in a sedition case.

Recently, in his rallies, the PTI chief has alleged that attempts were being made to “push him against the wall”. Last week, Imran accused PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari of wanting to “appoint an army chief of their choice” in November to save their skin in corruption cases.

His comments drew ire from both the army and the government.

Most recently, he alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to topple the PTI government in Punjab. Imran said that “Mr X and Mr Y” were threatening his party members to accept bribes.

In a tweet today, the ex-premier said: “Tomorrow our Gujranwala jalsa will be last of our present phase of Haqiqi Azadi Movement. I will announce the next critical phase at the jalsa.”

He added that the imported government and its handlers “are so petrified that the nation is standing firmly behind PTI that they are desperately moving on Minus 1 formula”.

Ahead of Imran’s statement, PTI leader Asad Umar urged the nation to take to the streets on Saturday evening in an expression of solidarity toward the PTI chairman.

Similarly, at a media talk today, former information minister Fawad Chaudhry also appealed to the people to come out against the government’s “minus one formula”.

“It seems like the government doesn’t want to hold elections. Tomorrow, a protest movement will commence across the country […] we urge the entire nation to participate in it,” he said.

Well tbf Stalin was a seasoned politician, there is a difference.
Even today Stalin can argue and give speeches better than majority of AIADMK and invoke Tamil pride easily.

The dynasty of Gandhi or Bhutto/Shariffs is an absolute joke.

Rashid hints at polls boycott if Imran disqualified
Ex-interior minister says a person’s politics can’t end even if declared ineligible

ISLAMABAD:
Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Friday said that if those who are ineligible are made eligible and those eligible made ineligible, respectively, the nation “will not go to vote” in a reference to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

Speaking to media persons outside the court, the former interior minister pointed out that the authorities had postponed by-elections in constituencies where there were no floods. “I have already said that the PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) is running away from elections,” he said.

“Now there is double load shedding … what will happen [to the people] when the full electricity bill comes,” he added.

He also called on Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial to stop the administration from banning entry in the court and closing markets.

He said that if former premier Imran’s statement was made in court, it would not have led to doomsday.

Rashid said, “The faces the nation does not want to see are being shown on TV. The government has failed and now the country is failing.”

He requested the top judge of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to allow their entry in the court.

He also accused the government of politicising floods.

The former interior minister said that the legal team is looking at Imran’s case, adding that politics could not be ended by disqualifying someone, mentioning that he spent seven years in jail but was present in front of them.

Even if Imran is not disqualified, the question still remains valid. He will likely win the next election in 2023 and assuming he will govern for 5 yrs he will be close to 80 by the time next election happens in 2028. He is the only leader in his party , what happens after his tenure is a serious problem to solve for the party.

PTI will turn into another political entity with infighting among various gangs hungry to grab power.

Disgruntled PTI MPAs in K-P reach out to other parties
PTI leader says members switching sides to 'save themselves'

Several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) have decided to part ways with the former ruling party ahead of the upcoming elections.

Disgruntled members of PTI have allegedly contacted other political parties and some have been provided assurances of getting a ticket for the next elections.

Following the departure of former provincial law minister Sultan Khan from PTI, there are reports of approximately 15-20 other MPAs leaving the party. Currently, the PTI has 94 MPAs in the K-P provincial assembly.

PTI sources said that the party was aware of MPAs who were in contact with other political parties, and claimed that the dissident members did not expect to get tickets in the upcoming election from PTI, hence, they were looking after their own interests.

The sources further confirmed that party tickets would not be given to members who were inactive in the party after former premier Imran Khan was ousted from power.

A PTI member who is in contact with another political party told Express News, under the condition of anonymity, that he disagreed with the PTI’s policies and that only a few members of the party were being honoured while others were neglected in terms of development schemes and party activities.

“Elections are approaching and people ask what has been done for the constituency,” he added.

PTI member Sultan Khan, a supporter of the Awami National Party (ANP), said that he also disagreed with some of the policies of the PTI which he would reveal later. He added that he was supporting Amil Wali Khan in the by-election because he was from Charsadda.

“Imran Khan has only come to fight in the election, he is already a member of the National Assembly and does not even attend assembly sessions so why waste votes”, he said.

In PTI's defence, PTI MPA Shaukat Yousufzai stated that only party members who were not issued a ticket to stand in the LG elections are switching sides to “save themselves”.

He maintained that there were no problems with the disbursement of funds and that development work was done in every constituency, whether it was an opposition constituency or that of a provincial government member. He added that “lack of funds” was a way out for the unsatisfied party members to leave.

“Those who are leaving the PTI should resign from the assembly membership, whoever wants to go should go in peace,” he said, emphasising that those leaving the party would be disqualified from the K-P assembly.

“They have no right to stay in the assembly,” he reiterated.

COMMITTEE TO LEAD PTI IF I’M ARRESTED: IMRAN KHAN

Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan has formed a committee to lead his party if he is arrested, he told Reuters hours before an appearance before a court that had issued arrest warrants for him.

The former cricket legend has led country-wide protests after his ouster from power last year and has had a spate of cases registered against him. The police unsuccessfully tried to arrest him on Tuesday, leading to intense clashes with his party workers.

“I have made a committee which will obviously take decisions once – if – I’m inside” jail, the 70-year-old said in an interview in his Lahore home before heading to Islamabad early on Saturday. He said there were 94 cases against him.

Khan, who was shot and wounded while campaigning in November, says the threat to his life is greater than before and asserted – without providing evidence – that his political opponents and the military want to block him from standing in elections later this year.
