Bahawalpur’s Muhammad Ammar scores a century; Lahore Whites’ Naseem Shah and Multan’s Aamer Yamin take five wickets each
Islamabad, October 8: The third day of play in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy cricket tournament was highlighted by Bahawalpur’s Muhammad Ammar’s brilliant century, along with five-wicket hauls from Lahore Whites’ Naseem Shah and Multan’s Aamer Yamin.
At the Margazar Cricket Ground, Islamabad, Karachi Blues were bowled out for 477 runs in their first innings against Faisalabad. Danish Aziz top-scored with 155, while Ghazi Ghori contributed 83.
In reply, Faisalabad reached 198 for 4 in their first innings. Irfan Niazi remained unbeaten on 78, and Hasan Raza on 73.
At the Diamond Cricket Ground, Islamabad, FATA were dismissed for 273 runs in their first innings against Multan. Muhammad Sarwar scored 80, Haseebullah 63, and Waseem Khan 53.
Aamer Yamin starred with the ball, taking 5 wickets for 48 runs. Multan, in reply, were 88 for 3 in their first innings.
At the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, Islamabad were bowled out for 256 runs in their first innings against Lahore Whites. Shahil Hussain top-scored with 86, while Naseem Shah took 5 wickets for 34 runs.
Lahore Whites ended the day at 152 for 3 in their first innings.
At the Abbottabad Stadium, Bahawalpur were bowled out for 399 runs in their first innings against Abbottabad. Muhammad Ammar scored a fine 105, while Imran Randhawa made 66.
For Abbottabad, Shahnawaz Dahani, Muhammad Adil, and Israr Hussain claimed three wickets each. Abbottabad finished the day on 23 without loss.
At the Imran Khan Stadium, Peshawar, the home side reached 154 for 4 against Sialkot, with Waqar Ahmed scoring 67 runs.
