I have seen on ebay people selling these android sets and also channel subscribtions where you get access to many sports channels.

For a month you pay around £10.

Some people say since it is only streaming and not downloading this falls in a grey area and hence you can't call it illegal.

Can someone please shed more light on this topic, thanks.

That seems to be the consensus here in Canada as well - streaming is okay but providing the content is not. Buying an android or IPTV box obviously wouldn't be illegal but using the subscriptions (whether paid or not) probably falls under the downloading illegal torrents category or something similar.

For most of us, it will be a moral choice and personally, I use it to get access to all the premier league matches which I can't get through cable providers (they will show the majority of matches if you get all the sports channels, but there still will be some missed).

What most of these services are doing are aggregating the free internet streams in a form that is easy to consume on tv through iptv boxes. It's not any different from surfing the web for videos and watching them even if they happen to be in violation of copy rights. YouTube happens to have all the latest music because it is attached to a so called "video". You watch it and technically you bare listening to music you did not pay for.

Point is it may not be moral or hundred percent legal but it falls under the net freedom argument and we all do it.

I use an iptv service to watch live tv. I paid them to put free stuff that's already out on internet in a presentable format. I did not buy illegal content. That's how I justify it :)

Feel free to agree or disagree

With Kodi you don't even need to pay. :P

As for legal/illegal issues, often it's a very grey area. I sometimes watch tv series episodes which have already been previously transmitted on free-to-air tv, but are not available anywhere later other than streaming. Hence Kodi.

I have been using Kodi for 7 years now and I use a desi iptv service so I get caught consistent service. The free ones are too hit and miss

Are there any good quality desi iptv services? I have mostly heard they have poor video quality and tend to be laggy. Some even host advertisements.

Thanks for the replies, appreciated.

They look horrible on large HD tvs. You are better of going with legal services.

Well... So which one?

IPTV are god sent. Initial box costs like $100 and you pay $10/month to watch 1000s of tv channels in 4k, HD, Free PPVs, daily updates of new/old movies in English and tons of other language. You can also record shows when not home like a PVR. Not gonna name specific brands or IPTV models because they are illegal and I can't share them. Chances are the newspaper your parents read have ads for them somewhere.

The quality is impressive.

You gain access to channels not sold in your country too for the price of $10-15 per month.

Since last 7 months have been living with my inlaws while my house gets renovated. I used to use Kodi but heard that there is nothing. I had switched to Terrarium which was very good.

Someone told me about this. Apparently you get a code for £30 a year and gives all live channels. Saw a video and it shows one also has access on demand movie channels, is this true? Also is all demand on tv shows?

However my main question is does kodi or any free streaming exist to put unto a firestick?
