What's new

Ranking and bilateral records mean nothing in World Cups!

The only people who have been humiliated are the ones who tagged me a thousand times in the match thread. They couldn't wait for the match to be over. This is what happens when people shoot their load prematurely.

This is a fluke victory that will always have an asterisk beside it.

You ran with your tail between your legs when England were reeling.

You deserve this humiliating victory

Tbh, you also "shot your load prematurely" when you predicted India to win against New Zealand and Pakistan to lose against New Zealand.

I don't tag a thousand people either. People were too loud and they wanted to score cheap points but they got their answer without me responding. This is what you call humiliation.

I wasn't even online. I didn't want to watch England's innings while posting. I deserve nothing - I am not English, but what people learned today is to not celebrate prematurely and wait and see who has the last laugh.

Had England not had the best luck in world cup history you'd be humiliated. Pathetic end to a rather good tournament.

Fair enough.

What happened matters, not what could have happened. Besides, more importantly, England deserved to have luck in this tournament and it completely deserted them before the final.

You're one who calls Pakistans 1992 win and 2017 win a fluke and lucky, yet this is fine to you:)) you're either a troll or have problems.

On which account do they deserve luck? team has lost every game they played on a sporting pitch in the last 4 years. Even after all the start aligned for them today they only managed a tie.

Pakistan was a rubbish team in 2017 (still are) and didn't deserve any luck. Read my post again - England deserves to have luck in this tournament.

You can call me what you want. That's your decision not mine.

Nobody 'deserves' luck. you either get it or you don't. I don't see how we were lucky in 2017, we won 3 of our 4 games convincingly even though we were not a great team, yes the team was a bit lucky in 1992 but nowhere near compared to this.

A great team deserves to have things go their way, so I disagree with you.

What makes this a great team? Winning random ODI series'? This 'great' team has faltered every time they've been tested, even outside the World Cup.

New Zealand was the better team but luck was with England.I was convinced this match was going to be one sided.Kudos to NZ for plays fantastic cricket.

They are the number 1 ranked team and have won a series against every team in the last 4 years. They produced three devastating performances against India, New Zealand and Australia in this World Cup in must-win matches. In the final, they recovered from a situation where most teams would have faltered.

This team has nerves of steel and they are rightfully ODI champions. Make peace with it because your whining won't change anything.

Someone called "aloo paratha" on an Internet forum does not get to decide whether this England teams is great or not. Their number 1 ranking, their World Cup trophy and their highly impressive wins over India, Australia and England is proof of their greatness.

Ignore my posts then and enjoy the victory brother

It is not for me to enjoy, I am not English. Besides, and I do not believe in ignoring posts. I would have replied at that time if I was online.

I'm an England fan but there's no two way about the fact that it was an absolute fluke. The way things went in favour of Eng it kinda felt like they were destined to win.

Fair enough you're back in my good books

One thing I did think about was this...

Let’s say England agreed to have those 4 extra runs cancelled out, Stokes still played a ground stroke purposely on a full toss on the last ball, he most definitely would have swung for the ropes to get six.

What if, what could have happened!
