Ravi Shastri under fire after Test series defeat in England

:))) Dude, you do realize who you are talking to, right?

Though, purely for entertainment value, I want this to go a little longer just to see all what he can come up with! Lol

It's amazing how far some people are willing to go to defend their countries. When you start to go against facts and come up with your own fantasies then idk what to say.
cricketjoshila advice for you. If you keep being so biased all the time people will not take you seriously.

Does ICC sell individual match rights separately?

If indo pak matches have such dispropotionate audience then why Asia cup are not there?

Why knockout of important icc tournaments are there?

I am not sure what you are trying to get at by your first question. I don't know why Asia Cup matches are not there, but those matches probably make the most disproportionate amount of revenue in Asia cup.

It's not just knockouts in ICC tournaments, group stages as well make far more money than other group stage between between any other team.

You want all Indo pak knockout matches to be on the list to be satisfied? We are still talking about India not caring who they play? :69:

I mentioned Indian media not India gov. Stop bringing up IPL that's irrelevant.

How many experts were asked to come from SL and BD? That's right only one each. How many from Pakistan? That's right 4, only 1 less than Indian experts. :genius

Stop repeating this ICC stuff over and over again. Any sane person will tell you that of course ICC matches will watched more than Asia cup or just bilateral series.

You say ICC matches are important therefore they are watched more. I AGREE. They are important. India gives them more importance, right? And Pakistan is listed 3 times there, right? So India gives Pakistan matches more Importance than any other matches in any ICC tournament, except the final of the World Cup.

It's ok to admit you are wrong.

1. Some ICC matches involving India and Pakistan had huge audience. Some didnot. It tells you that it depended on the context of the match.

2.Indian media supports Pakistani players in IPL. IPL matters as it shows how irrelevant Pakistan is in Indian cricket.

3.What are you on about this expert thing? Can you post a link to it?

4.Yes you are right.ICC matches are watched by audience. Thats the point.

5.pakistan is listed as two of the matches were knockouts. AWC semi and a CT final.

Pakistani fans should enjoy the fact that for once they have a more professional group of coaching staff than India. On the other hand, BCCI should reflect how things came to such a pass given the limitless resources at their disposal.

You can keep your 5 points close to your chest but this is a fact that Ind vs Pak matches has a huge fan following. Even those people who don't take interest in cricket watch it just to enjoy the atmosphere or they don't want to be sidelined by their colleagues in the discussion regarding the match next morning.

I think IPL has surpassed Ind-Pak games popilarity wise bro.

I agree that a player who can't make it to the team based on his game alone should be in the team for a captain. But I am disappointed with Kohli's captaincy, so another captain may be required. If you feel Rahane can't keep his place in the team, then the only other senior player who has a secure place is Pujara. Next would be Rahul, Ashwin or Jadeja, but their place is also uncertain. Dhawan needs to be gone from the Test team.

Even Pujara isn't a certainty in the team due to his overseas struggles. Kohli is the only option for now and i think he has done a good job other than selection. Modern day cricket isn't producing the genius tacticans now. That's why you need a coach who is tactically astute.

Every non cricket lover indian want to watch ind pak cricket match because of the hate towards pakistan but why can't people enjoy the match i hate these type of fans that they want to see pakistan lose everyone need to appreciate the team that played better cricket on match day

I find this hilarious that the coach is under fire but the captain who fought with his previous coach leading to his removal and showed a clear preference for the appointment of the present coach isn't copping any heat at all. The first thing BCCI should be doing at this stage is to boot Kohli from captaincy, no questions asked.

It's really irritating to see how a thread which is about India's abysmal Coaching staff, is plagued with posts about whether India-Pak matches are irrelevant to a section of fans

Anyways on topic, I believe Shastri & Kohli act as if they are leading a team which is at par with the Invincible Windies of 80's or the Aussies of 00's, but their attitude is like typical Bangladeshi fans, who go OTT with the slightest of issues (No offence to BD fans intended). With WC looming large in a few months, & Kohli playing well in his individual capacity, I expect the present dispensation to prevail for another year or so.

On another note, I have a question for Indian fans, as well as other neutral fans, as according to them, what more needs to happen with this Indian team, which would prompt the booting of Shastri & Kohli from being at helm? Losing to WI at home? Losing to Pak at Asia cup? Getting clean sweeped down under? Losing to Afghanistan/BD at Asia cup? I mean what more can trigger that?

Word of advice for all posting here - Dont make it personal

Why do our fans get so annoyed and upset if some Indians think that the Pakistan-India rivalry does not have the same oomph anymore?

If they don't consider us as their number one rivals anymore, so what?

You are not making much sense.

1. Indian fans break TVs after CT final. But they don't care?

2. Indian fans burn Indian players picture while cursing them. But they don't care?

3. Security had to be strengthen outside of players houses. Oh they don't care...

4. 1000s of fans watch those big TVs while blocking the traffic in different cities of the country. They don't care?

5. Champions Trophy group stage game (Not a knock out game) is the third most watched game ever in cricket.....they don't care.

How about you speak only for yourself. You are an unreasonable person i don't see the point in continuing.

How difficult it is to understand that a ICC trophy final is a BIG match? On top of that it was a sunday. That means a big audience.

If a non icc match between india and pakistan gets this much hype when they play regularly then you have a case. Like it was in 2004 series. Things have changed a lot since 2008.

I would like to know the answer to this too. Why the need to create fake hype?

Can we have your and Mamoon's permission to discuss what we feel like? Is there a forum rule for those who dont like a topic to come in and discuss stuff they Dont want to discuss?

Are you even reading properly? I said CT GROUP STAGE GAME is the third highest watched match ever. NOT THE FINAL :69:
Of course non ICC Indo Pak matches won't get as much attention as ICC Indo Pak match that's common sense  but those matches will get more attention than if India was playing someone else. Use some common sense mate.

In India, the entire 2017 IPL had a cumulative reach of 411 million: twice the Champions Trophy group game, but over 60 matches spread out over 46 days.

That's from the article linked above (which u didn't read obviously) Checkmate!! :D

Its not about discussion or permission. I am sorry if it came across like that.

Its a genuine question. If Indian fans dont feel the same about Indo Pak rivalry like it was 10yrs back whats wrong in that. Its a perfectly plausible thing. Why the refusal to accept it.

Tell that to the Indian fans who broke TVs, burned Indian players picture while cursing, and were crying after the match.

Many would be upset when you lose a ICC final. People were upset when India bowed out of the 2007 WC. People booed Tendulkar in Mumbai during a 2006 test match vs England.

Things is Indian cricket are not about Pakistan. Hey days of Indo Pak rivalry are gone.

You are not the representative of all indian fans here so kindly talk about yourself only. Others can also use your logic and say that indian fans care about indo pak matches.

People don't have to accept everything you post here so there will be refusal. Get used to it please.

You can refuse anything you want sir.

Virat Kohli agrees that Asia cup can be skipped and so does Bcci. Thats enough for me.
