Bangladesh have started producing some very good talented cricketers , great to see that their system is working very well.

The good thing for Ban. is that Shakib is a genuine all-rounder so they can play an extra batsman like Saikat at 7.

But now with Mushfiq giving up gloves, things might change.

Mosaddek can bat at 6. Liton, the keeper, is good enough to be a genuine batsman can bat at 7.

Furthermore he is such a batting talent who needs to bat in top 5 all the time and instead BD team management, Captain, Senior batsman make him bat at 7,8 or 9 which is absolutely ridiculous. It's like Faisal Iqbal sending Saud Shakeel at number 8-9 while chasing 205 in 20 overs and Saud scored 29(17) Khi lost by 7 runs and next match Saud was dropped from playing eleven.


Insecurities of less gifted players ?

Mosaddek's technique would be gone if he is made to slog down the order.

I think, they opted for more protection in top order against Aussie pace attack, hence went for 3rd opener Kayes.

Miraz would have played in any case.

He still has some problems with new ball else he is the most technically sound batmen of bd and for me he should bat at 4/5 as he can slog later.

Average of 69 in FC and 39 in List A Cricket and he bats at number 7 number 8 for BD in international cricket which is simply brainless case of handling a talented Cricketer.


No reason why he doesn’t play for BD all the time.


Today he should have played ahead of Imrul Kayes and should have batted at number 3.



Litton, Mosaddek and Sabir have more class and ability as a batsman than Mushfiqur, Shakib & Mahmudullah.


I agree Sabir has discipline & attitude issues but so did Symonds who won WC for Australia.

It is shear politics of senior bd players and management who are trying to destroy this player. Just compare Mosaddek domestic numbers with Shakib, Mushfiqur & Mahmudullah. He averages 70 in F.C. cricket for a reason and Bd use him as a slogger and allrounder at 7 or 8 which is senseless and makes no sense at all.

Yes, I actually do know lot about PAK cricket, much more than posedu spotters - want to test that, welcome to dare.

Any way, do I need to response some simpleton who thinks Mosaddek is better batsman than Mushfique, Shakib & Mahmudullah? Don't you think it's bit foolish for someone you to judge players only on domestic stats? In that case PAK's batting shouldn't be a laughing stock with 1-2-3 averaging over 60...... Mithun spanked your lot to a 144 runs partnership to win a game from 12/3, previous day Imrul took score from 84/5 to 249 - both elimination game. Before that, Mithun posted 134 with Mushi from effectively 3/3 ...... By the way, you probably don't know that Liton actually is a Test regular, Sabbir lost his place for disciplinary actions.

Previously, he was a spin basher and mostly a deflector of pace bowling to wards 3rd man or leg side behind umpire; now he is playing some of the best drives against fast ball and pulling even Rabada in front of squire. And, he has improved his bowling, probably will cost Miraz a starting spot for ODIs. Also, he has added at least 10-12 KG muscles in last 1 years, looks solid now and those fore arms are strongest that I have seen from BD players (not puffed like Akram Khan's)

One thing I liked about his knocks is he hasn't played selfishly for his average, he always gives his all for the team. But brother don't you think he should bat up the order. Read in the news that Riyad has sustained a low grade calf injury and will take 2 weeks to recover, so maybe he can bat at 6 but don't want to bring in Sabbir, I am more comfortable with Mithun over Sabbir

We can play both Sabbir and Mossadek if we only had a better bowling attack. Three specialist pacers, Shakib, plus remaining can be shared between Mossadek/Sabbir/Soumya.

Look at Aus team selection committee, they made right call in every game...Berendhoff...Coulternile...etc.

He is a handy ODI player and he chips in once in a while.
