RBS Twenty-20 : 7th October Fixtures and Live Score Updates Thread

Looks like the leopards weren't let out of the zoo as promised, instead the domestic pussycats were rolled out to face the lively dolphins.

Dolphins look likely to win this tournament and qualify for the Champions League. There bowling line up will be too good for both Lahore and Sialkot

I thought Sialkot has already qualified for Champions league, it will be much more exciting if Karachi Dolphins qualify though. It will be great to see our future talent (Sohail, Anwar Ali, Khurram, Fawad, Sarfraz etc) playing champions league as compared to Sialkot who have lost 6 of their top players to ICL.

what the piep..... :P i came just from school so i watched the scorecard :O if they can manage somehow to win i will shave my head bald ^- ^ :P

Anwar Ali to Afaq Raheem
Gone! good length ball, just outside off and moves away, Afaq tries to play a big shot down the ground, thick outside edge goes to keeper and he takes a straight forward catch behind the stumps, Leopards 3 down!
Afaq Raheem c Sarfraz Ahmed b Anwar Ali (2 runs, 4 balls, 0x4, 0x6)

Anwar Ali bowled out swinger. He isnt one trick pony.

Brilliant caught ,now lets wait for Mr Savak to arrive. :)

I'm pretty sure that Sialkot is playing the Champions League because they selected last years winners. However I'd rather see the Dolphins play the CL

Judging from this story, it will be the team that wins the tournament.

Pakistan domestic season 2008-09

Pakistan board announces Twenty20 tournament

Cricinfo staff

September 16, 2008

The PCB has confirmed its domestic Twenty20 tournament for the 2008-09 season will be held in October, with the winners participating in the inaugural Champions Twenty20 League in December. The board said the tournament will be held in Lahore between October 4 to 8, with the Bagh-e-Jinnah and Lahore City Cricket Association Grounds playing host.

The tournament, formerly known as the ABN AMRO Twenty20 Cup, has a new sponsor in Royal Bank of Scotland. The competition will see 13 teams from 11 regions play for a winners' prize money of Rs 2.5 million (approx US$32,500). Five matches have been scheduled for each day, with the semi-finals and final on October 7 and 8. The PCB explained the tournament has been kept to the shortest possible time to allow the selectors pick Pakistan's Twenty20 squad for the four-nation tournament in Canada, starting October 10.

Sialkot Stallions, the 2006-07 domestic Twenty20 champions, were initially set to participate in the Champions League as the PCB hadn't organised a tournament in the previous domestic season. But with the league postponed from September to December, Pakistan now have the opportunity to field their newest champions. The Champions League also comprises England's Twenty20 Cup winners Middlesex, and the finalists from domestic Twenty20 tournaments in India, Australia and South Africa.

"There is the added incentive for the winners this year as they will represent Pakistan in the prestigious Champions League," Shafqat Naghmi, the PCB's chief operating officer, told PTI. The Twenty20 tournament will be the first major cricketing event in Pakistan after the Asia Cup in June and July.
