Reham Khan releases controversial book ahead of 2018 Pakistan General Elections [Update #203]

Don't think people who wanna vote for Imran will change their mind after reading Reham's book. The book if its true appears to be some tabloid journalism that you would read in the Sun newspapers. This will not affect the voter at all.

Infact if you go by what happened to Donald Trump and his video that was released a few days before election where he was heard making lewd comments about women. This might actual increase Khan's popularity and people might vote for him more. There is no such thing as negative publicity these days, and we know Khan has enjoyed both negative and positive publicity in this 5 year period, this will make him more likeable in a few eyes, since they feel its a Noon conspiracy hatched against Khan which makes the voter go out and want his voice heard.

I know this is very very painful for you our British guide on ilzaamistaan. But feel it :-)

Clearly shows you are clueless that how these power projects work :)

Not a supporter of PTI, but you overlooked a basic fact. Electric projects have a long gestation period. Most were started during Musharraf and PPP years, and started generating electricity only recently.

Clearly shows you are clueless that how these power projects work :)

Yes, please give Credit to Musharaff and PPP. Why not Quaid e Azam marhoom ? ? :-)

10,000 plus Megawatt Power projects launched by People of Pakistan's democratically elected government of Last 5 years. Power generation hits all time high in the history of Pakistan and credit goes to Aaeen shikkan Musharaff and PPP :-)

" The prime minister was also briefed about the current as well as anticipated power demand and supply situation.

He was informed that the generation capacity has increased from 18,753MW in 2013 to 28,704MW today "

Exactly what i wanted to hear because once again i want you to disappear

The total installed capacity of the hydropower stations in the country is about 6,595 MW, out of which 3,767 MW is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,698 MW in Punjab, and 1,036 MW in AJK and 93 MW in the Gilgit Baltistan, which represents merely 15 % of the total identified potential

Now, have some shame and give credit to PTI :))

And i won't mind if for your convenience you give credit to ANP or may be Quaid e Azam Marhoom :)))

PML N government went only after establishing thermal power plants(easier to take illegal commissions and kick backs from them) which produces electricity at highest rates and in the end common people like you and me have to pay the burden in the form of bills and taxes. Electricity consumer rates must be highest right now in our history and you are jumping up and down here as it is some sort of achievement.

Why did not your beloved government initiated hydroelectric and wind energy projects to produce cheap electricity ? They made one Quaid e Azam Solar park which was a complete failure and full of corruption. If production is anywhere close to 28,704 MW then why is loadshedding still happening ? Why did not PML N government upgraded transmission lines etc ? They said that there will be no loadshedding after 6 months, that was there promise and after five years we are still facing loadshedding along with increased billing.

We elect leaders that are better than us not with same limitations , not sure what was the point of such a shallow post.
Nothing shallow about it. You asked the silly question as to why Imran Khan married her. And I gave you the most obvious reason. ie She's good looking and quite a lot younger than him!

Or perhaps you are so naive as unable to understand that the world over, whether they are rich or poor, even men in their mid-60's get attracted to younger good looking women. Look around you, look at male politicians, male movie stars, wealthy individuals et al, and you'll notice the frequency with which they have younger and pretty looking wives or partners.

There is something known as background check and i am shocked that someone who has dated and had relationship's with high profile UK, European, US socliaties, Hollywood celebrities, Bollywood actresses would be so dumb and naive to not see through Reham's background, ambitions and potential to be good wife material. She looked very plastic and scheming from the very beginning.

Moot point. The same high profile UK, EU, US socialites, Hollywood celebrities have also had multiple failed marriages. Sometimes people don't think rationally or expect a better result contrary to the evidence or logic.

Lol and we simpletons in our 20's and 30's get criticized very heavily for falling for a girls appearance, looks.

Imran Khan defended his decision saying he likes to look at people's good qualities, positives vis a vis their negatives.

I remember when she first came to note and many including myself were criticising her as a fake, attention seeker and many esp females came to her support. At least you have realised your error and have rightly changed your mind regarding what type of person she is.

You know it's very easy to present yourself as a person as to how people would see it, especially via media or social media. It's only post divorce, it all started to look fishy. I mean, the only difference between her and Katie Hopkins is that both of their agendas are different, otherwise in terms of character (attention seeking etc.) they are the same.

You have further admire Imran Khan for remaining silent post divorce, especially in comparison to her. Even if she amends the book; she could have easily denied it on twitter; instead she opted to play mind games, she led this gain attention so her book sells. Cheap tactics.

So when a man, especially an older man, becomes infatuated with a pretty looking younger woman, you seriously believe that he will be checking out her 'background, ambitions and potential to be good wife material' as his first priority?

Hate to break it to you, but not all men think with their heads in such situations....rational thoughts are often the last things on their minds. :))

Ofcourse not but if this is a natural occurrence why do people criticize others for these things then?

Jealousy? Can you think of many unmarried, fit, healthy, 'straight' men, (especially if they're 50+), who would turn down a good looking, intelligent woman much younger than himself? Heck, even many youngsters wouldn't say no to the lady in question given half a chance. :))

Because it's very easy to point fingers and judge others, even more so with the Desi crowd.

Media portraying me as a 'bad character' woman: Reham Khan

Reham Khan, former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, complained on Friday of being ‘defamed’ by the electronic media over her upcoming autobiography, which has prompted court notices from her political arch-rivals.

In a recent interview with an Indian TV channel, the anchor-turned-journalist said she was portrayed to the entire world as a woman of ‘bad character’, apparently referring to the reactions following the ‘leaks’ from her book. “I was subjected to negative propaganda in the media,” she added.

The tell-all autobiography reportedly includes details of her interactions with various celebrities and her marriage with Imran. Some of those details apparently crossed a line for businessman Zulfikar Bukhari, Reham’s first husband Ijaz Rehman, cricketer Wasim Akram, and PTI International Media Coordinator Anila Khawaja.

Reham further said is under pressure from her family and friends to publish the biography on time. “So far, an excerpt being linked with my book hasn’t been made public.”

The journalist, however, admitted that her upcoming book contains references of sexual harassment by Imran Khan and the PTI. “The book has not been made public yet, so there’s is no truth in any statement by PTI or any of its spokespersons,” she maintained.

Earlier this month, Reham’s lawyer Yasser Latif Hamdani said her autobiography was not intended at influencing the forthcoming general elections “as being alleged by PTI. He also said the book “is going to be published either in July or even August.”

Imran Khan's ex-wife Reham Khan gives Pervez Musharraf lesson in gender equality

NEW DELHI: An ex-wife of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan yesterday gave a lesson in gender equality to former Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf.

Khan's second ex-wife Reham Khan has been in the news lately for her reportedly tell-all memoir - which is said to include salacious details - about her months married to Khan.

Three days ago, Musharraf retweeted a post from his political party which said, among other things, that Reham, being a woman - or "lady" as the tweet said - should be "ashamed of herself" for writing whatever she has reportedly written about. The tweet also said Reham was being used by another political party, the PML(N), to further its agenda.

"Reham khan is being used by PML(N) I have read some content in WhatsApp messages she should be quite ashamed of herself you don't write such things and specially a lady doesn't write such things," said a tweet by the Musharraf-founded party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), which the former dictator retweeted.

Reham was having none of it. Who is anyone else to decide, when and what a woman should speak she asked, according to ANI news agency.

"General Pervez Musharraf has tweeted that a lady should not speak such things. It means, men can do anything, but lady should keep quiet after seeing a lot. The question that arises is why? Why shouldn't I or any other woman speak? Who will decide as what women should speak and write and what should she should get exposed to. This is wrong," said Reham to ANI.

Reham, a British-Pakistani journalist, was married to cricketer-turned-politician and Prime Minister (PM) aspirant Khan from January 2015 until October 30, 2015, when they divorced.

Pakistan goes to the polls next month and PML(N) - the disgraced, disqualified PM Nawaz Sharif's party - will be contesting against, among others, Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. Reham's reportedly explosive book has unsavoury details about former cricket captain Khan which some say could hurt his chances of becoming Pakistan's PM.

That's why Musharraf claimed the PML(N) was using Reham to for its own political ends. Musharraf himself wanted to contest, representing APML, but he was last week barred by the country's Supreme Court from doing so after several no-shows in court in connection with a case.

Reham, of course, rubbishes Musharraf's allegations.

"I have no relations with the PML(N) and I have never interacted and met Nawaz Sharif. To be honest, Nawaz Sharif is so strong now as never before. That's not because of my book, which has not been released as yet. In the past one year, his position has changed. Earlier, he was the Prime Minister, now people across parties are appreciating him. I am not on their agenda," she told ANI.

Meanwhile, there's no love lost between Musharraf and Sharif. After all, in 1999, it was Musharraf - then an army general - who staged a coup to take over Pakistan and placed then PM Sharif under house-arrest.

Now, long-time Pakistan observers say Khan's candidacy has the backing of the country's army, a prospect that makes many uncomfortable. In fact, former army general Musharraf has also been backing Khan.

His [Imran's] popularity is on the rise, and he has the potential to improve the country's situation and do something beneficial for Pakistan," said Musharraf to the Pakistani press last month.

Pakistan goes to the polls on July 25.

The book has kind of already become irrelevant

Lol at some one thinking a book (no less tabloid fodder level one) will have an impact

Silly content. She just seems like a desperate women who wants to make an impact on elections through really cheap tactics. No wonder its now only Indian media giving her the limelight as their media is known for reporting outrageous hilarious content: kaala phattar, kabootar, ship rides and what not.

Anyone claiming that her voice needs to be heard is just a fool himself. Even out of interest why would you want to waste time reading such garbage tabloid material when there are many better, credible, mature things to read. You must be the most farigh insaan to read this as some posters here have showed interest.

Lol a woman who married the PTI leader and since the divorce she has completely disassociated with everything from that party, has spoken non stop crap about her ex husband since the divorce and is only singing praises for the opposition ruling party and turning a complete blind eye to the ruling parties defunct personal character and poor public performances.

Everyone can see through the lack of credibility which this woman personifies.

If this was the UK or the States, the people would come out in numbers just to vote for the opposition.

People in general are not fond of hate politics and this played a party in Trump's victory.
I hope the people of Pakistan rise up to this sort of rubbish and come out in their millions to vote against corruption.

Reham Khan has really surprised me, for someone who comes across as very graceful in public has completely shattered her image by writing such trash....talk about bitter, negative and frankly a downright nasty person.

Maybe she don't know Jemima is working woman and did far more charity work than this disgusting person can imagine. Jemima came to Pakistan 7 years after her divorce to support ImKhan Khan protest against US drone attack in Fata

It's also avaliable for free on Twitter :yk

Just did a quick CTRL+F search, and apparently not a single reference to Wasim Akram.

And lol at some of the pictures at the end.

"Cocaine in Imran’s coat pockets"

"An angry Imran on Eid-ul-Adha 2015"

"Eid Day, Bani Gala. Sahir tries to put his arm around Imran.
Imran moves away"

"Imran’s birthday, 2015. The cake he would not cut or eat"

While Imran is a druggie who's sooo cruel that he doesn't even cut cake on his own birthdays, the Sharifs are all Sufi ascetics - totally without ego -, Maryam bibi in particular being a "busy" woman with "administrative skills" :

My interview with Hamza Shehbaz, the son of Shehbaz Sharif, was certainly interesting. I found him to be an extremely polite individual. Not only was he courteous to me, but he also braved the blunt attacks of my makeup lady, Sitara.
(...)
I wanted to milk the opportunity, so rather cheekily asked his coordinator to try to get me an interview with Maryam Nawaz Sharif. It worked. They squeezed me into her busy schedule, and soon enough, I was being pleasantly surprised by her mannerisms as well.

I was expecting a lady with all the airs and graces you’d imagine of the heir apparent of a powerful dynasty. But unlike the princess label she had been given by PTI, she came across as a focused, time-conscious woman. She would get up and open the door herself to call her next appointment in, rather than ringing a bell, and stuck to the allotted time. Interestingly, we all thought that Hamza had the mannerisms of his uncle Nawaz, while Maryam had strong administrative skills like her uncle, Shehbaz Sharif. She was operating the office with the discipline an army officer maintains. While Hamza came across as a more laid-back and diplomatic politician who could connect because of his awami (everyday and relatable) appeal, Maryam was very direct and to-the-point, unlike most Pakistanis one would meet. She was certainly not a stereotypical, pampered, desi-elite woman, but very independent and competent.
(...)
I headed towards the Model Town residence, fully brainwashed by the propaganda of how stuck up the Sharifs were. Their attitudes were often compared to Marie Antoinette’s behaviour. PTI had labelled them as the badshahs (kings). Shehbaz Sharif was portrayed in media as a man who was prone to getting married every so often to any attractive woman he laid his eyes on. With all that negativity, I marched into a tasteful parlour. As I looked around, I saw a penchant for Faberge eggs and an obsessional attention-to-detail in the decor. It all looked familiar. I went into the powder room and did a double take at the painted basin. It seemed like someone had been consulting my decorating notes. As we sat waiting for the CM to arrive, several people dropped in to greet the team. I was still in a bit of a daze, and slow to register that some were his close family members. Their attitude was pleasant and down to earth. A man introduced himself as ‘the one who was not in politics’. He joked that he was the businessman who kept earning while the family kept spending it all on politics (...) with that, he was gone. No sleazy overtures. No arrogance. He was just brisk, clinical and professional to the core. This was clearly a no-nonsense type who with many other pressing work engagements.

Haha so the leaked manuscript was legit because some parts in this book are same while she removed others because of the reaction. Those pics and captions are

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well, considering that the hyperbolic apologetic of Maryam bibi's "administrative skills" I remember reading the exact same lines from the leaked manuscript.

That's probably also why that whenever she was asked live on TV if this content was indeed from the book she had a little smirk, and never ever answered explicitly, being more in the 'you'll see when the book will come out' stuff.

True all these hamza, maryam and shahbaz pieces were in that leaked manuscript. There wasn't nough time left t write whole book again so i guess she tried to change the parts based on reactions?

Definitely. The "Wasim Akram story" in particular took out all the semblance of credibility she had, and she would have probably toured courts as well, apart from the purely ethical issue. There's a video going viral of the late Haroon Bilour also criticizing her for that. The only ones to have backed her there would have been her financiers I guess (the Noonies.)

Even the noonies are running away from her now including Hanis Abbasi who isn't even interested to talk about her and refused to call her sister again and left the show. Hani's own own case is going to be concluded next week so he will be too busy just like Talal and a few others facing courts right now.

hahahaha this book is a big JOKE!

and that's what comes immediatly after that part (won't quote all, as it's pretty nauseating) :

His lifestyle was so different to that of my social circle. I didn’t know anyone like him or his friends. It was a bizarre life. It was all sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. I had grown up in a time and a culture where it was not cool to be irresponsible. I didn’t want him to tell me more.

His frequent stories (even of other people’s antics) had a terrifying effect on me. I realised that these were not merely stories, but suggestions. He was testing my boundaries and seeing how open-minded I could be. Even before the marriage, I had reprimanded him when he’d joked that Pashtuns were famous for their bisexuality. I had made it clear that these jokes and suggestions were unacceptable to me

So as per Reham Fasadi Khan's book excerpts quoted by Indian media, IK himself told RK that he has 5 illegitimate kids (some from India).

tbh hat's defo what everyone would tell in priority to a woman you have just come to really know.

Also, what the Indian media has also noted is Reham's view of Modi, that's what I found :

He would often talk about his future as Prime Minister. During the dharna, whenever he had renewed hope, he would paint a scene of him standing up there, giving the victory speech.

“Baby, you will be down there smiling up at me, with your beautiful face lit up like a bulb”.

I knew it wasn’t happening. It was all over as we had predicted, but I didn’t have the heart to ever say that after we got married. I assured him that I would have a green silk suit ready, which I did later pull out for his NA-246 (Karachi) campaigning. I would gently and repeatedly give the example of Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, who was Chief Minister of Gujarat for a decade, and then elected to the top job because his seemingly strong governance record, despite all the other negative baggage.

in the same breath as Mandela as well (perhaps she'll say the same of Nawaz Sharif soon) :

When I would plead with him to attend to an issue by visiting the location, he would literally wail, “Do you have any idea how long I have been doing this for? I am so fed up of this crap. It’s been twenty ****ing years! I can’t do this anymore!” It was clear that Imran felt it was high time he was ‘given the prize’. I would reason with him by saying, “But Imran, Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in a cell with no end in sight. Narendra Modi was a Chief Minister for 10 years before he became PM. He was voted in despite his radical views because of a good governance track record. Prove yourself in KP then look to the centre”.

Her book is all about main kitni achi hun and Imran ktna bura he. Main kitni naek hun and Irman kitna badkaar he. only some patwaris will give any importance to her words

For all her pretences she is nothing beside marrying IK. He has moved on, she is desperate to cash in before she fades out of the public consciousness. What a low life!

And her son edited this book? What kind of mother-son relationship they have?

Yes his son edited this book for her i just can't imagine a mother asking son to edit this type of content

you know whats funny? how PTI fans found Reham to be very gracious and this and that when she married Imran. Now look.

you know whats funny? how PTI fans found Reham to be very gracious and this and that when she married Imran. Now look.

Why PTI waale or fans don't find any keere in Jemima after 14 years of divorce? That's because of her character. Khandani log sirf Pakistan main nae west main be hote hen jo divorce ke baad be talkhyaan nae phelaate cash nae kerte divorce ko

you know whats funny? how PTI fans found Reham to be very gracious and this and that when she married Imran. Now look.

Who even knew her before the wedding ? The first time I came across her was when she married Imran Khan, and some anti-Imran bunch (the same to do the PR work for the book nowadays) were showing her naek kaam in England, when she was dancing with different men in liberal clothes.

you know whats funny? how PTI fans found Reham to be very gracious and this and that when she married Imran. Now look.

Not sure what is funny there. Imran Khan married someone and hardly anyone knew who she was. In fact it was PMLN leaders (surprise surprise) who were spreading her short dress photos and it was natural to criticse them because her past was past just like Khan's and it was non issue.

What is far more shocking and disgusting is all these so called moderates and liberals who are defending FILTH coming from Reham, in fact they are glorifying her as the woman rights champion and only hope for women along with Maryam Nawaz. Imran's famous words about our liberals come to my mind which i strongly disliked at the time but i completely understand now where he was coming from.

you know whats funny? how PTI fans found Reham to be very gracious and this and that when she married Imran. Now look.

They defended her because she has a right to marry whoever she fancies. People are attacking her now because she is greedy as shown by her book and her relationship with Hanif Abbasi and Shabaz Sharif. Where is the contradiction?

So just imagine being her son and not only reading her book but becoming her publisher. Maybe Rehams lawyers disgusting attack on IK maybe more apt for the son and Reham.

So again an "intellectual" who loses all her critical rationalist tools when it comes to assess certain ideas/peoples :
