Can prove in court what's written in book, says Reham

LONDON: Reham Khan, former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and a TV presenter, Thursday said that she could prove in a court what she had written in her autobiography, which was released on Amazon and in paperback in the UK and select territories.

Reham said so in a detailed interview with anchorperson Muneeb Farooq on Geo News' show 'Aapas Ki Baat'.

Asked about the timing of her book's launch, she said that she was not concerned how people viewed it and only knew of the intentions with which the book was written.

"My intention and motivation [in writing the book] has been rectification," Reham maintained.

"Because I was aware of so many things about life and people, yet was unaware of them. I felt that I was ignorant...and there would be so many people like me for whom it would be an eye-opener, even for those living in England."

She also said that people in her family used to think of her as an intelligent person, but their views had changed now, because of her decisions.

Asked why she thought of this "rectification" after divorce from Imran, the former TV presenter replied, "I should have written it by the time of my first divorce. I did not, like so many others, for the sake of saving my job, my children were still young and I did not want to disclose where did I live. I was not even empowered and I did not even think that it could be helpful to some young girl and she might be able to make better decisions."

Reham Khan’s autobiography released on Amazon

"I do regret it that I should have written it at that time," she added.

Responding to a question about her profile elevation after her marriage and subsequent divorce from the PTI chairman, Reham said: "Obviously, [my] profile increased, I got a major platform; I had been married to Pakistan's only celebrity. I have utilised every platform I found in a way in which there could be someone's betterment."

Terming her decision to marry the PTI chairman a "huge mistake", she said that she also found it difficult to forgive herself.

"I have held my hands up and said that this intelligence I don't have..... It was even difficult for me to forgive myself for such a huge mistake.

"I would term my marriage with Imran an incident. It wasn't a pleasant experience," the former TV presenter said when again asked about her mistake comment.

She, however, said that she had no hatred for anyone, be it her first husband or Imran.

"I don't have a vendetta or hatred against anyone, not against my first husband, not against Imran or other individuals involved in this."

Asked about the perception that the purpose of publishing this book was to politically damage the PTI chairman, Reham said: "No, that's not the reason. But you are free to shape any opinion about myself. This is my exposé rather than the men I have married."

During the interview, the former TV presenter was also questioned about Imran's confessions pertaining to other women, as she claimed in her book, and if she ever threatened him of making those confessions public.

"I didn't marry [him] with this intent...I could not have even imagined that we would ever be separated," she replied.

I think i saw someone mentioning Wasim is still there. Also i saw Saqlain and Zakir being mentioned in a piece where she claimed IK is a gay.

Wow is she still relevant? I remember her being in the news for leading Shashi Tharoor's wife to take her own life. She's an imbecile person and I remember how she was acting innocent during those days

She's doing exactly what any Pak washed out and attention seeking celeb will do. Support Imran Khan and that's the reason why even serial harassers like Ali Zafar are still liked by the general public because they support Imran Khan and Junoonis are next level misognysts themselves

you still dont get the irony that you are talking about relevancy when the topic is centred on an irrelevant woman who has already had her 15 minutes of fame. Only her 11 months of marriage to IK is her claim to fame in her 50 or so year old life...

She's been one of the few Pakistanis working in the BBC way before her marriage to that womaniser and also she was a really talented broadcaster and she has seen more life than you posting and idolizing a vile
creature who thinks getting women is like winning a trophy

So what if you worked for the BBC. She is using 11months of marriage to IK as her claim to fame. Presenting the weather on the BBC means what as far as PK politic goes.

yea she was a weather girl on BBC....

and learn to comprehend things better. Though not unexpected that you lack in that department. Nooras are known for that...

For Reham Khan, the marriage to IK seems to be the highlight of her life. In her 500+page book, IK seems to be almost 90% of the discussion eventhough her marriage to him was just 11 months or so of her 45-50 year old life. So she achieved nothing else in her life that was worthy of putting in her book? She herself has insulted her own achievements (whatever she may have) and feminism through the contents of her book since she deems none of them were as important as her marriage to IK

I am 100% sure you haven't even read the book. It's not all about your bigoted leader but about her struggles in her childhood and her experiences during first marriage. Yeah if being weather girl is that simple why don't you go and try to become a weather guy for BBC since it is a really easy job to get.

You can keep living in your noora world lmao. The only point of interest in the book is IK and that is majority of the book.

as for personal attacks. I almost certainly have a better career than be a weather guy on bbc and im not even joking.. Do you think being a weather guy on a regional bbc channel is some prestigious achievement which hordes of educated people are vying for? :))

Come on man for them even being called Godfather in a SC verdict is an achievement and deserve mubarak baad!

And if she wasnt married to IK, you would have been interested in her book? No chance, she is a loser like your duffer. There is more to life than money and she has sold her soul to Shabaz and Hanif Powdri. Whats more disgusting is that her son has to read and edit that craap for money.

At least we have a Reham Khan fan here which is great to see especially after even filth like Hanif Abbasi refused to own her :))

Read some parts of the book and realise that Reham Khan needs help. She is just so disgusting and maligned so many people and this includes her first husband, PTI female politicians and also herself :s

Don't really know much about Pakistani politics (why would I?) but seriously what the hell is this??? Who would even buy an autobiography about her?

And is this book really gonna be on the market for long?? Surely the mullahs will start attacking it.

Could mods remove waseem akrams name from thread title. Dont think there is any mention of his wife in the book.

Have removed as it's outdated now, but not sure if Wasim is there or not.

He isn't there in the PDF that is being circulated but that's 365 pages - according to her, the book is 550+ pages in total.

God knows what all there is in the original book :danish

Apparently significant portions of the book and even chapter names are same as one leaked by Hamza Abbassi. Lol it's schoolboy level editing

Can you imagine her son asking her what position IK liked most? I know it sounds disgusting, but when the editor has to summerise and edit, he needs to get to the juicy bits.

A PDF is always shorter than its book, because the writing, space between paragraphs, etc is less refined in the first format as compared to the edited book.

I myself have PDFs which weight some 80 pages while the original book is +200 pages, and so on.

At least the excerpts circulating by the mass-media (so I guess that they're "professional" enough to get the actual, edited book) in both Pak and India are the same as in the PDF.

Good point. In some cases, PDFs are scanned copies of books in which cases the page number is the same but when it's typed out or copied text then there is likely to be difference; pages can be more or less depending on font size, etc. This is a text version, not a scanned one.

Reham Khan: Revealed only a little of what I know

In her first interview after the release of her sensational autobiography, British-Pakistani journalist and Imran Khan’s second wife Reham Khan told Pakistani TV channel Geo TV that her book reveals little of what she witnessed.

“Jitna dekha hai, uss se bahut kam bataya hai (I’ve revealed way much lesser than what I have witnessed), she said and added that while writing the book she was conscious that children too would be reading it. The book has been criticised in Pakistan for being pornographic in parts.

Denying that she was motivated by personal vendetta when questioned about the timing of the publication, barely 12 days before a crucial election on July 25, she admitted that she should have written it earlier but failed to do so.

“The book is not going to impact the forthcoming elections in any way. It won’t damage the political fortunes of Imran Khan,” she declared with a broad smile.

Describing her marriage with Pakistan’s 1992 Cricket World Cup-winning skipper, as an accident she said: “(My) marriage with Imran Khan wasn’t a pleasant experience. I wish it hadn’t happen to me…”

“This has always been my dream that Imran’s name should go down in the history of Pakistan as a legend. I would always tell him, ‘Look Imran, you should at least deliver one such speech that our grandchildren read in their school text books, just as we do about Badshah Khan and Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. I repeatedly asked him, ‘do you think, with the kind of speeches you deliver, they will get recorded in school text books?’”

She went on to add, “I told him that becoming a Prime Minister is not a big deal in Pakistan. Prime Ministers come and go. What matters is the legacy that you leave behind. He must spread positivity while they spread hatred and pursue divisive politics.”

Adding that Imran must act like a boss and leader, she said: “when I would discuss with him development politics, he would say he has given 22 years to politics. People dedicate their entire life. Look at Nelson Mandela, he spent 27 year in prison. Does he enjoy any (official) position? No. He holds position in the hearts of people. He has changed the politics of the region and the world. Imran could have done that.”

The lady admitted that her profile and stature enhanced after her marriage to Imran Khan. “Obviously, (my) profile improved; I was married to Pakistan's only celebrity.”

Describing her marriage with Pakistan’s 1992 Cricket World Cup-winning skipper, as an accident she said: “(My) marriage with Imran Khan wasn’t a pleasant experience. I wish it hadn’t happen to me…”

Asserting that people are free to form their own opinion about her after reading the book, she apprehended that “PTI supporters will definitely cast aspersions on me after the launch of this book, but I am least bothered.”

Reacting to the queries on the most sensational passages in the book, she replied in a rather sarcastic manner, “Do you want me to meet the fate similar to Qandeel Baloch?”

So why was it Imran Khan who divorced her and not the other way around? And why was she still trying to repair the marriage and trying to make sure that divorce doesnt go through?

Unfortuntely, there are still some illiterate Jahils that I know, who having lived in Pakistan all their lives, despise IK because of his personal life.

Mind you, these are the same people that vote based on the “wadera” system and complain non-stop about corruption for five years.

I wanted to talk about the 2012 Delhi gang rape, but all he wanted was my phone number and address in London

Exclusive Interview: Imran’s ex-wife Reham Khan on her explosive autobiography, the mistake Imran was, and why she made that mistake.

A week ahead of her arrival in India to sign a publishing deal for her autobiography that nobody seems to be willing to bring into the market, cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan paints him as a self-absorbed man who, during an interview she did with him before their marriage, kept pestering her for her phone number when she wanted him to talk about the 2012 gang rape of a 23-year-old physiotherapist in Delhi that triggered global outrage.

Talking exclusively to Mumbai Mirror over the phone from her London home on Saturday, Reham said Imran – between seeking to know her age, and where she stayed in London – rather casually pinned the blame for the horrific rape on Bollywood’s depiction of women as scantily dressed dolls.

While Reham’s autobiography titled ‘Reham Khan’ has created a storm in Pakistan with its rather scandalous details of Imran’s personal life — ‘seeking sexual favours from women in his party’, his ‘drug habit’, and the talk of ‘illegitimate children’ — the author said the book was actually about the mistakes she made in her life, marriage to the playboy cricketer being just one of them. “[In the book] I tell you about a girl from a privileged family who went to a good school and who could speak English. Despite that, she did not know what she was looking for in England at 19 and in Pakistan at 42.”

Drawing a parallel between falling in love and following a political leader, Reham said people in India and Pakistan do not demand enough from the people they vote for. “We just think he [Imran] is a cricketer, a politician and an honest man. How do you know he is an honest man? In cricket, there is a record of his performance. There is no record of his performance in politics,” she said.

On the possibility of Imran being elected Pakistan’s prime minister in this month’s elections, Reham said it was a scary thought. Referring to his alleged use of drugs, she said: “He does not remember in the morning what he said the previous night. So, it is possible that he will press the nuclear button in the night, and say in the morning that he did not order the nuke strike.”

♦ Your book is drawing immense attention in India, even more than the recently launched Spy Chronicles, co-authored by two former spy chiefs from both countries.

It’s good to know that. There are so many good books but people don’t read in India and Pakistan. For me it is important that my book should be read by the general public. When you talk of my book, the perception is that it is about Imran Khan. But actually it’s about my mistakes. Despite that I did not know what I was looking for in England at 19 and in Pakistan at 42. My reality in England as an immigrant was that I am someone from South Asia, a single parent, a working mom, and I did not fit in with conservative reality. Similarly, when I went to Pakistan, a lot of people asked me “Kyun kiya shadi Imran se?” (Why did you marry Imran?) I talk about how Bollywood has influenced us. You have to be the perfect wife. Another thing I have tried to do is to get people to think about why we vote for certain people. For example, the perception in Pakistan is that Narendra Modi is radical but he was a good CM. I have not lived in India but how do I know this? It is a perception built by the media. I spoke to someone in India and he said, ‘Itna toh governance acchhi nahin hai. Aisi baat nahin, Gujarat state hi aisi hai’ (Praise for Modi is unwarranted because Gujarat is a prosperous state anyway).

We do get brainwashed easily. It’s not only the Taliban that is indoctrinating the public. Actually, indoctrination hota hai through Bollywood. I am a Muslim but I have this romantic notion about Karva Chauth. It is not just a Hindu concept. It’s a South Asian thing. Even professional women follow it. I did it when I was 18 and again at 42. But women should think: should we forget our identity? In the same way, you should think deeply about who you are voting for. Whoever it is — be it Nawaz Sharif, Modi, Imran or Rahul Gandhi. But we don’t think about all this. We just think Imran is a cricketer- politician and an honest man. How do you know he is an honest man? In cricket, there is a record of his performance. There is no record of his performance in politics. His performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is not much. It is only about 11 per cent votes. I was the biggest critic of Imran and KP. There is a record of my criticism. And then I go and marry the man — makes no sense at all.

♦ So why did you marry him?

Because when somebody tells you are beautiful, you fall for him. We fall for these things because jante hue bhi hum kuch nahin jante. (We know everything, but we know nothing.)

♦ So would you say marriage to Imran Khan was a big mistake?

Yes and no. If you don’t make mistakes, you don’t learn. But it was not a pleasant experience. I misjudged him completely. I was not meant to be in Pakistan in 2014. I had an accident in Pakistan, I had to use a wheelchair. That’s why I could not return to England. Because of that accident, I met Imran. But because of that ‘Imran mistake’, I found my calling in life. I have a platform now to talk about domestic violence. My issue with Imran is that this man who wants to be Pakistan’s prime minister can’t even handle a divorce.

♦ You speak of domestic violence. Did you experience it?

You should read the book. I have addressed it in the first half. I have described it explicitly and graphically. My worry was not what will happen to me if I leave my husband, my worry was ‘log kya kahenge?’(What will people say?) I was worried that my mother would be embarrassed by what people would say. I have written about how my mother did not use the word ‘divorce’ for six years after I split from my first husband. She referred to it as ‘separation’, and would tell me not to speak about it before the driver and the children. I started with only 300 Pakistani rupees. I did not even have a bank account. Now I am in UK with three children (from her first husband Dr Ijaz Rehman. I have never made any compromises. I did not have to smile at anyone, nor travel in anyone’s car to live a decent life. If you work hard, no one can defeat you. It is not easy but integrity is important.

About Imran, I have spoken about sexual favours in his party. One woman may compromise and she may reach Parliament. Another may be more talented, but she may not get the opportunity.

♦ But you have said that Imran is compassionate, caring and magnanimous.

In the book? No. Maybe in an interview, but I can never use those words for Imran. Maybe I said that when I was still married. Wahi to mein kehti hun, pyar andha hot hai. (After all, love is blind.) Actually, that is his problem. He can never be compassionate. Imran was a celebrity when he was 21. So much fame, so many girls and so much money at such a young age. Pakistan is not like India. In India, you have so many celebrities. But in Pakistan, there is only one celebrity. So he can never be normal. He never lived a normal life, never had to go to the bank, to an ATM or power supply office. He does not know what daily chores are. He does not know how to raise children, his wife did it.

My first meeting with him was when I had gone to interview him. I was told that he would be the next Prime Minister. But, all through the interview, he kept asking me my age. I did not want to be rude, but I did not like it. I told him about the Nirbhaya rape case. He did not know about it. While I was talking about it, he kept asking me for my address in London. I paid no heed to his enquiries and kept asking him about the Delhi rape. And he said he did not have any idea. I explained the gravity of the crime and the global outrage. He replied: ‘Really?’ And he then said it was all because in Bollywood films they make girls wear skimpy skirts and because of that, these crimes happen. I was shocked. What a thing to say!

♦ You have also written about drugs, sex and adultery in the book?

In detail. He uses multiple drugs. It is an old and entrenched habit. He never remembers in the morning what he said the previous night. He even used banned drugs. It is brought to him in a thaili (bag), like the ones in which you carry sandwiches.

♦ The latest Bollywood blockbuster refers to a celebrity’s struggle with drug addiction.

You know, I cried during the bathroom scene in Sanju. I kept weeping because Imran did not have a father like Sanjay Dutt did. Sunil Dutt was such a caring, loving man. Sanjay Dutt had such a large support system. Imran does not have anyone. I told the same thing to my children. The second thing is, Sanju is honest about it. Imran is not. You cannot cure Ashiqui 2 kind of problems.

♦ The book also frequently refers to homosexuality, obsession with male genitals, and more.

When I spoke to him about it, he did not seem to be interested. What I have hinted at in the book is that for someone with pretty dubious sexual habits, it is odd to be homophobic. It’s hypocrisy. When you are like that, what is the point of getting married? Also, you talk of Islam and your lifestyle is not Islamic. It’s basically hypocrisy. That is the difference between Imran and Sanju. Sanju says that he had 308 girlfriends. There has to be some kind of honesty.

♦ Why did he stop you from coming to India?

I got invited by a media house for a conclave. I had got my visa but Imran Chaudhry (Imran Khan’s financier and friend in Dubai) suggested that I should not go. Then Imran sent a message to me through his secretary that I should not visit India. I thought he could have told that to me directly. He was told to get rid of me early on in the marriage.

♦ You have written about Imran’s illegitimate children in India. Are they in Mumbai?

I don’t know where they are. All he told me was that he had five other children. He told me flippantly that the eldest one was 34. That person’s mother kept it a secret because she was married. Another lady wanted to keep their child, since she had had problems conceiving. So, he said, “Haan rakh lo”. I don’t know who they are but he was boasting about it. I don’t even know if it is true because you can never make out whether he is telling the truth or not. It is the same with this Bollywood superstar. He told me that she was after him. He said she came after him to London. The actual story was different.

♦ Wasim Akram has reportedly sued you. What happened?

I don’t know if it is true. Akram has been mentioned because he had come to our house twice. He was very well behaved towards his wife [Sunera]. They are a loving couple. He is friendly to the staff, who say he is down to earth. When I told this to Imran, he did not like it very much. Wasim loves Imran. Imran was also very happy in Wasim’s company. But when I praised Wasim, he was unhappy. You can’t praise someone in front of Imran.

♦ There are question marks over the release of the book. Is it timed with the elections in Pakistan?

People may say that it is politically motivated. Our original release date was September. When these people started maligning me, we advanced the date. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not want the book to be released at all. They are not worried about the sexual details. They are worried about the other flaws. If people want to make Imran the PM, the book is immaterial. Imran did not want the book to come out. Then I started speeding up things. Also, if people think that it is politically motivated, why I should I care what people think?

♦ So will you be getting it published in India?

Yes, but I am bound by a confidentiality clause with my publisher. I want the publisher to make the announcement. We will launch it properly in India.

♦ The Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar has hinted that you promised dirt on Nawaz Sharif in return for being made governor of KP.

It’s not correct. She is an unemployed person, she is now on the rolls of PTI. Also, Pakistan Muslim League [Nawaz] does not have majority in KP. I come from there but the question of them helping me does not arise. It’s not logical. Najam Sethi’s magazine [The Friday Times] spread stories that I told Nawaz Sharif that I should be made the governor of KP. I have never met Nawaz Sharif nor have I ever spoken to him. Besides, the governor has no powers in Pakistan.

♦ It has been said that you honeytrapped Imran.

There is a man called Dr Shahid Masood. He is an anchor in Pakistan. He was close to General Hamid Gul [former ISI chief]. General Gul said in front of me to Dr Masood what to say on TV. That’s how it works there. General Gul even threatened me before marriage. I told Imran that he is a badtameez admi. Gul was initially good to me. He would tell me that he would take me to Syria and Sudan. I was not expecting it. Imran told me to ignore him, and said he was a lunatic. Dr Masood and another anchor have said I was a honey trap.
This was after our marriage. I told Imran he should tell his friends that I am his wife. But Imran kept quiet. This went on for three months. They even said that I was an MI6 agent. After my divorce I said that if I am an MI 16 agent, it is an insult to ISI.

♦ Your book is slammed as pornography by the Pakistan media.

The media has been bought by PTI. My book is number 1 in India, Canada. It is also doing well in Japan. In Pakistan, it has been blacked out. One channel did a safe interview with me and PTI stopped releasing advertisements to that channel. We’re promoting the book on social media because no one is giving us coverage. Why? Because, as Bilawal Bhutto Zardari [chairman, Pakistan People’s Party] said yesterday, Imran is PM-elect. The entire coverage has been reserved for Imran.

♦ Do you think Imran might become the PM eventually?

I think the Punjab vote will go to PMLN. I was in PTI and attended their dharnas, but they don’t have the same support as PMLN. There is total support for Nawaz Sharif. Pakistan is the only Muslim state to be a nuclear power. And I have talked about how he [Imran] says something at night and denies it the next morning. He might press the button at night and next morning he could say that he didn’t order this. We want a responsible person, we can’t afford such a person. The best politicians coming out of Pakistan are Bilawal and Maryam (Sharif).

Reham is a complete opportunist and from what I've read about her, she always has been.

Haven't any of you cottoned on to the fact that no publisher worth their salt is wanting to go anywhere near this book due to the fear of libel damages?

That's why it's not been released as a physical copy but a digital one. And she's done it herself. For her to publish paperback copies would have cost her a huge amount, out of her own pocket.

She has had to self publish it now, frantically through her son. It's so hilarious.

It also had to be released two weeks before the elections as part of her deal with PMLN otherwise she wouldn't have gotten the huge windfall amount that they were giving her. Again it makes the fact that her son was editing it before midnight, probably with his friends, even more hilarious.

Also let's get rid of the notion that she was a good presenter once and for all. She was a weather presenter in the UK and an average borderline lousy one at that.

Her presenting skills in Pakistan were more or less limited to asking celebrities about their love lives.

I also think that she has mental health issues. I don't know if the beatings she took from her husband affected her psychologically.

I also remember when she was brought down to earth on NDTV by a journalist a few years ago. I forget what the topic or programme was but her lies were taken to task elegantly. It's on YouTube.

Nobody would give her her own show in Pakistan as after a little while they would figure out her slimy ways and that would be that.

Her own interest is in movies and gossip. That's her calling and her forte.

The book has exposed her badly. GEO is trying to keep her alive but that too will be over soon as the public has shown her the two fingers.

Looks like noone gives a crap about her book. All attention is on her master's :))

Awwwwwww

Feel bad for her tbh, she needs attention.

Judiciary/Estb. ruined her book launch, she was supposed to be in headlines and talk shows but NS, the man the myth the legend stole the show and limelight from her with his criminally good attention seeking behavior.

She should write a book on how NS stole her only ticket to fame.

Thats what i pointed out a few days ago, she had spent months planning a release date to damage IK and benefit the criminal Noora family, but as irony has it, the book launch was killed by NS. Oh dear

You missed the key point! she said i wanted to talk about "Delhi gang rape" and mention of Sanju. Actually she is trying to please Indian audience because this interview was for India.

Best. Book. Ever.

Gives me hope that I can write a book too one day.

Just wait till potwaris somehow blame this on IK/judaiciary/estb aswell. I read some parts of the book and it's a goldmine for us meme creators.

She tryed hard tbh but the stuff she wrote is weird and also hard to believe even for those that hate IK and PTI. Someone should have told her to reduce the amount of fictional stuff innit to some extent but no, the lady went full throttle. Even Hanif powdri, the guy with the same IQ as that of a brick wall figured that the book is full of fantasies hence disowned her completely

What the heck is this all about??

Surprisingly the educated liberal community is taking this book far more seriously than even PMLN supporters. I came across many so called intellectuals taking digs at Imran Khan using Reham's book.

These people would stoop to any level to show their hatred and take out frustration, only because Imran Khan speaks against their saviour of democracy and next hope for liberals Nawaz Sharif

The homophobic bit is to get people in the West to be on his back as its a big thing here, this will then lead to questions from Western Journalists to create controversy in which he will be forced to deny his alleged homophobia , which then will be used against him in domestic politics by maulvis and Nooras.

Bro, stop reading these idiots. Anyone that supports NS should not be read as they are intellectually ********.

So it sounds like the book is full of slippery banana peels Imran Khan should look to avoid in the coming weeks.

One thing is for certain - she actually lived with the guy, so even if something appears suspicious or fictional to you, there is no way for you to prove or disprove it either way.

These are just some minor allegations as compared some other nasty stuff. These are some of the allegations PMLN has been making for a while and they have put this all in a book now to attack Imran Khan 2 weeks before elections but sadly for them this has been busted so badly that mainstream media hardly covered this.

Nothing new for liberal and democratic Nawaz Sharif, this is how low he goes against his opponents, Benazir was the victim in 90s and Imran is victims these days.

I doubt it would have had much of an impact in any case, even if the publicity around this book was full throttle. The masses of Pakistan aren't going to base their decisions on voting for a particular party based on the contents of a book I would think.

Maybe there are a few who are on the fence who might be swayed, but generally speaking...

Reham Khan thinks she will sell more books if Imran Khan becomes PM

Reham Khan has said she will sell more books if her former husband Imran Khan becomes next prime minister of Pakistan, referring to her recently released autobiography.

She said this on Saturday while replying to a tweet on her Twitter account which has over 1.95 million followers.

"I will buy 3000 copies of your book if IK (Imran Khan) loses #Elections 2018," said a Twitter user.

"I sell more books if he becomes PM," she responded.

Published by Amazon.com on Friday, the book's paperback version is not available for readers in Pakistan, although it has been been published in the United Kingdom.

The book had earlier, been alleged to act as a ploy to deter Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imrans Khan's reputation ahead of the upcoming general elections of July 25.

Don't think any PTI person or follower launched as much dirt on RK as much as RK launched on IK. In fact when they were married IK and PTI did their best to save RK from as much dirt which was being thrown around her due to her past.

She is a true ehsaan faramosh of the highest order.

Lets accept that everything is wrong in this book.

The question remains: Why did IK marry such a woman in the first place? There's a reason he's known as Im The Dim.

What about Shehbaz Sharif? :sendoff

1. So, IK is no better than SS?
2. Did any of SS wife come out against him with any allegations let alone a book?

The question remains: Why did IK marry such a woman in the first place? There's a reason he's known as Im The Dim.

1. So, IK is no better than SS?

Mistakes happen. Nobody knows how their marriage will turn out otherwise half of the people would never marry. Also this Im The Dim thing is getting kind of boring, especially since you were crying about the level of discourse on another thread.

Anyway he's running to become the PM, not become some sort of a Rishta Aunty.

I'll be honest I didn't know her before her wedding with Imran Khan. The first time I really did was when the Nooras dished out the character assassination so typical of their party/leaders (Reham Khan dancing in revealing clothes in England, etc) I thought that Imran Khan married her for the avatar she herself built : she was, at least in theory, a "self made" and "independent" woman, an "intellectual" who worked as journalist, a religious mohtarma, etc all characteristics I thought Imran was looking in a woman, basically.

That's my inference, but you can say it's both Imran Khan's naivety as well as Reham Khan's versatility when it comes to dupe the public/projecting herself.

Hamza Ali Abbasi deserve an award the way he exposed her book weeks before the launch to keep it away from media during election week.

Well, damn.

- This "lady" is a classic case of "damaged goods". IK should've stayed away from her shadow, let alone marry her. IMO biggest mistake of his life.
- Her inconsistency is ridiculously obvious and no one, rightly, is taking her seriously.
- Her only motive is to earn some $ and remain relevant. Nooras have paid her some but after elections she will be irrelevant for ever and fall into the oblivion of classless women (not a pleasant place to be). No man of class will ever say 'hello' to her.
- I feel for her son who's had to edit her 3rd class book.

Here is a lesson for all self made men: stay away from "strong independent self made twitteresque single mothers". Vet your women properly. See where they come from, what their family/friends circles say about them and then proceed further...
