Lighten up and take it easy man, its just a game. Cook should do well when England come to bat. I hope he has a good series and keeps his average up while England lose 2-1. :))

Really? I had no idea, that's a real shame. But while it would be a great learning curve for one Danny Briggs, you have to wonder if SE teams would regard them highly enough in the first place to invest in their development...

English spin success in the past decade rests entirely rested on one county who committed to spinners (and spin friendly wickets) in a way that was out of kilter with the rest of the game here. And a county that is regarded by the ECB as badly run.

I'm okay, Cook isn't even my favorite player and I don't pray for his success, his legacy is cemented in my view. However, it is good to see that people's prayers are being answered. :60:
 
It's got nothing to do with the subject at hand. Don't need references to any religion to counter a argument.

Nothing wrong with praying for someone's success, is there. Hating someone coz others love him is just being contrarian, nothing more or less. If Cardus can pray for Trumper to make a 100 and the Aussies be bowled for 137, why not pray for The Mighty # :amla

Looks like the new white players in the team were good only as long as they were out of the team.

I don't hate Amla bhai. I have issues with his fans in Pakistan, who pray that he scores runs against Pakistan but we win so that his average is not disturbed. :60:

I have nothing against the man himself. I think Cook has cemented his legacy as an ATG already, there is not much left for him to achieve in Tests other than chasing Tendulkar's records.

But I have seen these words used by different posters when talking about Pakistani players as well...so not sure what's the difference here.

Any references in regards to religion should be used if it means to counter a argument to make a point. When someone says it in a positive way and means it, that's fine, but don't make attempts to put a point across and use those words.
 
This is what South Africa need to do for the next test:

Drop Morris for Steyn and Piedt for Abbot. They should also drop Van Zyl for Duminy and make De Kock open. Not only will this give them five proper bowling options on what is going to be a green pitch, De Kock won't be overburdened because England are unlikely to bat long on such a pitch. They will also keep their quota in place with Amla, Duminy, Bavuma and Rabada being their four players of colour.

England should play the same team.
 
Looks like some right macho ******** going on out there. Fast bowlers assuming they can intimidate a short batsman with short bowling and getting angry when he plays it well.

Not often the Umps intervene over verbals...
 
Class batting so far by Temba Bavuma. SA need Steven Cook in place of Van Zyl and this will be a strong team when 2/3 of the first choice quicks are playing.

Or just keep batting as long as possible and wear out the bowlers some more. Seems a better option to me. The first one is a bit too risky.
 
If SA had a few hitters left except these 2 than it was possible to take risk and go all attacking in last session but looks like they will have to declare behind or will play the whole session with a normal RR to remove the lead 104 runs.

Bavuma was 72 off 79 at one point. 16 off his last 54 balls.

I know a maiden century is a big deal but he needs to get a move on. 10 overs at England before the close of play would put them in a pickle.

Neither failed at the World Cup, Ali was arguably England's best player. It was a middling year, I agree.

S.A should bat till end of the day and declare now, then again i doubt their bowlers are eager to go out and bowl on this wicket again.

Finn looked dangerous too and I reckon Wahab Riaz would have done decently here. You do need pace to succeed on this kind of pitch.

Not interested in hypothetical possibilities...based in statistics Wahab getting wickets is less compared to Finn....
 
England need to approach 2nd inns positively as plenty of sides have made a pigs ear of 3rd inns in matches like this and ended up losing the game.
