Shashank Singh is a terrific lower order batsman. He should get a look in the Indian team soon. Much better than one season wonder Rinku.
Chances are very low.. he's already 33.. but commies keeps saying he's younger lol..

RCB won this one , but I have a feeling that Punjab will win at least once in this 3 year cycle with ponting and shreyas.

I mean with players after the win..
Oh ok. In the final over Kohli gestured to him when it was clear they were winning.

I'm not watching the post match tears and nonsense as they drag this out. I have firecrackers going on all around me. The only thing that truly makes me happy is watching my mom feel so high.

18 years. Countless heartbreaks. One King who never gave up
This isn’t just a title it’s the reward for a man who carried the hopes of millions year after year.

Virat Kohli, you didn’t just win IPL, you won The millions heart again 😍

:kp

We were the far more inexperienced side with a lot of uncapped Indian batters and it the lights proved too bright for us in the final.

This is a bitter lesson for Punjab. You don’t just walk into playoff cricket after a decade long slumber and expect to win it all.

Winning championships involves a lot of instances of getting inches closer. This is RCB’s first IPL title but they have been in playoffs a lot more than us. Their players had more playoff cricket exposure and they delivered better than us as a result.

Onus is on Punjab to continue the good work and be back in playoffs next season and have another go at the title. Prove that this season was no fluke.

Congrats Virat bhai 🫡🙏🏻👏🏻

Champion player for our national side. Full respect on a remarkable year winning 3 coveted trophies. Bravo

Wow imagine if that was a noball hahaha. Would've been a crazy freehit

Kind of hurts.

I’m the end it was a matter of one hit.

Our inexperience showed today. Except the Aussies and Shashank eventually, none of the Indian origin batters played bravely in the final. A typical trait in our country especially with inexperienced batters

0 cricket knowledge exposed again. You intent and SR merchants think you know cricket but the reality is you don't have a clue. There is no such thing as good or bad SR; it entirely depends on the context of the situation.

Kohli's innings today was excellent, it held the innings together and allowed RCB to post an imposing total for a final which proved to be beyond PBKS.

Well done Kohli - the greatest T20 batsman ever and far better than any one dimensional, brain-dead slogger.

It is also worth nothing that SRH have won nothing in the last two years in spite of adopting an ultra-aggressive strategy and trying to belt every ball out of the park. It just goes to show that there is more to T20 cricket than just slogging. I hope you learn something from this.

I’ve won too many battles here to even bother into a debate here.

RCB won the match because they scored 6 runs more at the end of the day because of the excellent batting by Jitesh once Kohli got out.

Kohli playing a bit longer for a 60-70 odd would have resulted in a total that definitely would not have been enough.

Sixes at the right time win matches. Kohli did nothing as such to contribute into what could be defining towards championship.

That’s the last word by me on this. That’s the lesson to be learned here.

Oh Bhai no bigger fan of Kohli here than me and Kohli innings was nothing special . It was Jitesh innings and Krunal bowling who won the match.

KOHLI should have played little faster but now we won so doens't matter . Happy ending ♥️

Shreyas Iyers wicket was the turning point of the match
Actually it's Krunal Pandya's over.. he got the dangerous Inglis too.. Iyer is a big wicket but Punjab were still in the game.. economy under 5 in 190 run chase is pure gold..

Kamran Akmal = Virat Kohli

Now both are IPL winners. Welcome to the club

exactly.

But than again, i think posters pay too much attention to a guy who wants Asif Ali as captain of the national team and Azam Khan his keeper.

What should they do? Pay attention to a guy who thinks Joginder Sharma is a more impactful fast bowler than Shoaib Akhtar?

Most indians are bashing kohli for this innings except fans of kohli. Had he remained not out it'd have been 170, easy to chase. Quote " RCB did nothing wrong today except kohli's innings" Unquote.

Thought on this Mamoon bhai?

Punjab lost this match by almost 20 runs. Ignore those dead sixes hit by Shashank in the last 4 balls when game was over.

So pressure gets to you in the big matches, always bat first.

Well deserved win for RCB and Kohli after 18 long years.

PSG, RCb winning, wow!! 2025 is surprising...

Misbahs RCB has finally won :yk

Saray haters bahr mein jao

Kohli-Misbah dosti

Pressure of 1 bill>>>. Pressure of tiny Aussie media who hardly even cover cricket

The moment that we were waiting for long. What a special victory! It was written in the stars that RCB will win this World Cup. Finally the loyalty prevails.:vk

With RCB finally lifting the trophy, it feels like an entire chapter of our lives has come full circle. Having witnessed and fully supported RCB in the era of Gayle, Kohli, de Villiers, it has taken a decade long for RCB to finally lift the trophy. We have officially become old and although that youthful feeling may not be there but nostalgia stays.

What a story end this is for RCB. They finally finished the story on a positive note. They might not do it again for a few more years ,though.

IPL 2025: RCB's open bus victory parade cancelled, only felicitation ceremony at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium

The city of Bengaluru was all set to welcome and celebrate its home team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), in a grandesque manner after they lifted their maiden IPL title on Tuesday night. However, in a last-minute change, the much-awaited open-top bus parade to celebrate the historic win has been cancelled due to concerns over traffic congestion and public safety.

RCB ended their 18-year-long wait for the IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings in a thrilling final in Ahmedabad. The victory triggered wild celebrations across Bengaluru with the city turning into a festive mood, with fans dancing in the streets, bursting crackers, and chanting slogans.

The franchise had initially announced a celebratory open-bus parade that was to begin at 3:30 PM IST on June 4. The route was set to start from Vidhana Soudha after the team's meeting with Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and end at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where a felicitation ceremony was planned. However, just hours after the announcement, Bengaluru’s traffic police denied permission for the parade, citing safety and logistical concerns.

Authorities revealed that managing traffic on the one-kilometre stretch in the city’s Central Business District (CBD) would be highly challenging. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) officials reportedly tried to negotiate an arrangement, but in the interest of public order, the parade now stands cancelled.

Kohlis innings was neither great nor disappointing. from 2024 t20 final , 2007 t20 final, 2012 t20 final to countless IPL finals, "runs on the board" proved crucial.

In IPL 2025, please check score card of RCB in which RCB lost while batting first. They scored under par with kohli gone early. The key to RCB's batting was batting around Kohli. Going ultra aggressive like SRH in 2024 final would have bundled out RCB for 150 in final.

RCB scored 130/4 in 15 overs with 60 off the last 5. With salt and mayank agarwal gone, had kohli got out RCB would have struggled. By no means it was a great innings by kohli but definetly not a bad innings either. An average innings.

Imagine shreyas iyyer taking the game deep with 20 off 20 balls and Inglish continuing with his aggression. KXIP would have won, once shreyas iyer was gone the preassure mounted on KXIP. If kohli got out playing attacking early, RCB would have definetly scored. Despite jitesh's quick fire 24, RCB could only score 20 off last 18 balls with a mini collapse. They lost 3 wickets in the final over. Had kohli gone cheaply playing aggressive, RCB would have been all out by 170.

Rohit sharma defended the following totals three times (twice against CSK, once against RPS in IPL finals.) Kohli's innings helped a bit to help RCB post a defendable total.

It is poor innings, Punjab lost due to Wadhera played worst..

If Hazlewood played all his matches he would have won the purple cap... But good to see Prasidh among the wickets, he is an important bowler for India moving ahead...

Yet you wanted the genocide of Pakistan and wanted all those pakistani's dead.

Give it a rest. Heart ache 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
