Inzamam is a very good reason why we didn’t we couldn’t win any world cup between 1992 and 2007. He would often go missing in big tournaments.

The Australian team of that era was a generational talent (Dr Noman Niaz lol) that won three successive World Cups (1999, 2003, and 2007). They were almost invincible. However, we could have done better in 2003 and 2007, at least reached the semis.

We should have done well in 1996 too. After such a great start Inzi should have taken us close to the victory in the QF against India. He used to hit those bowlers for fun in Sharjah.

Waqar Younis speaking to an indian media outlet:

"Look, I said it after the second duck, I said this guy needs to be benched. It's not that he is not talented; he is very talented. I think he is the future of Pakistan cricket. But sometimes when things are not going right for you, you just keep going in the shell, keep going down and down, and that's what is happening here with him. His body language was poor this afternoon when he walked onto the field."

"You know, he is a youngster, you really need to look after them sometimes, by just not playing them sometimes. Pakistan kept on playing him, just purely because he can bowl. You don't need to worry about his bowling; Pakistan needs to worry about his batting. If he is going to give us runs or not. At the moment, it's not happening. He needs to dig deeper in his game to score a few runs"

Saim Ayub era will start soon.
Pakistan treats T20s like tests. That is where you persist with potential players. In T20 generall players shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 matches to showcase their talent. 10 matches max. He has played 45 matches. If he can't you have to move on to next guy as this format requires capable , inform players. This guy has played 14 T20s against NZ. Scored a grand total of 153 runs at an average of 12.75/SR of 130.76 . But they cling on to that one 98 he made against SA where even RVD scored at 173 SR and pakistan lost that match.

He could either become the next Shahid Afridi (utility player who plays 100s of games) or next Umar Akmal (Discarded after certain games).
