I don't think it will dramatically change the results or anything, but I feel that he can provide a much-needed bump in the captaincy IQ level. At the moment, the main problem seems to be the utilization of whatever little talent and skills we have. The batsmen do not use the crease well, and the bowlers do not take advantage of all the options available to them. There also seems to be a lack of drive to win. I don't know where the aphrodisiac will come from, but the captain needs to be changed.

Virat Kohli has been playing T20Is for 17 years, but Babar Azam has played more T20Is than him in just 9 years. The main priority of the PCB has been T20Is, and they always play their full-strength squad regardless of the match or the importance of the opposition. While most teams use bilateral series to try out new players, our openers, Babar and Rizwan, kept playing as openers for years. The format that could have been used to identify new players was wasted by the visionless PCB and management.

Rizwan must be booted out. He can play red ball cricket if he performs & if not then he can be totally discarded. Pak players no matter who they are these days become a liability after a certain period of time & they get insecure so they become a hurdle for player development.

I'll play Babar at four for a few more series & if he doesn't do well, he can join Rizwan & play leagues across the world. Reason for playing him at four is that he stops his fascination with 100s & plays like a normal player. This would be my eleven & sixteen players squad

Haris (k)
Saim
Fakhar
Babar
Agha (c)
Khushdil/Niazi
Arafat/Saad Masood
Jahandad
Abbas Afridi
Akif
Abrar

Ali Raza, Maaz, Wasim (jr).

I'll also have a rule that no fast bowler will bowl more than 3 overs in a spell unless they have figures like 3-1-11-2 or something similar to this. Abrar will open the bowling with Jahandad, & then we can go from there.
