Very unnecessary from Hafeez and Amir has now genuinely become a pariah with such remarks.
Little PCB can do apart from now select Amir again.
Hafeez needs to watch out now as well.
What’s going on here?
Hafeez just praised Rizwan, why’s Sarfraz feeling insecure. If he did, why’s Amir jumping in, geez.
Kick Sarfraz outta team, no use carrying him. Have Rohail/ Azam as a back up. Amir is a lost case anyway. Send Hafeez too after the 2021 WC
Pathetic...from all three. I guess now that we have social media this is how players settle their tensions with each other.
Hafeez instigated Sarfraz by making needlessly toxic and pointed remarks. Sarfraz got triggered into a cringeworthy clapback. And Amir ofocurse had to chime in with his not so ambiguous shot at Hafeez.
At the end of the day though, only Hafeez is performing so does it really matter what any of these guys (including Hafeez) have to say? I mean granted it looks incredibly childish and immature but if you ask me, Hafeez could be emitting radiation like Chernobyl on Twitter; as long as he is performing I wouldn't care
Please learn to read between the lines. Hafeez's dig at Sarfraz is as clear as daylight.
Tip: Put yourself in Sarfraz's position and then read that tweet. Maybe it'll help you understand better.
Yeah. I am captain in all three formats and become lazy and unfit on my own.
I then proceed to go crying in the media with my Karachi journalist friends of a bias.
That’s Sarfraz’s position. Meanwhile, Rizwan has scored runs since his return the likes of which Sarfraz did in ONE year of international cricket.
Unnecessary comments by sarfraz,
I thought these guys had social media managers.
Such an awkward dressing room for T20Is where Sarafraz and Hafeez are there.
Amir.. lol.. Begaani Shaadi mein abdullah deewana.. Aiwein hi involve ho gaya.
I believe there are some jealousies at play here.
Especially Amir looking to score points at any cost also.
what about hafeez. The whole world knows that Rizwan is the #1 Wk in Pakistan now why does he need to rub it in. That's so immature.

Sarfraz and his supporters doesn't count in "The whole world" , and Hafeez tweet was for them,
Rizwan was knocking at the door since 2017/18 and sarfraz blocked his way because he was specialist captain.
Don’t teach me how to read. How do you know it was a dig at Sarfraz, may be it was at the management who think that Sarfraz is the #1 choice.
Yes it was unnecessary from Hafeez, but commenting on it, Sarfraz made it worse for himself

I understand that but thats the past theres no changing it. Being a senior player, Hafeez should know better what's the point of causing all this unnecessary drama. Rizwan is in fine form and continues to doubt his haters no need for Hafeez to back him.
Why should Sarfraz sit back and take that cra* from Hafeez? Hafeez thinks that he can get away with anything these days. From taking on PCB with the whole Covid testing saga, to blatantly lying about the selection for the SA T20 series, he's totally off the boil. Needs to be put in his place. Agree that there's no need for Amir to chime in
The Safraz defender brigade is pathetic.
Hafeez did NOTHING WONG here, just praised Rizwan.
Who the hell is Sarfraz to barge in like that in a condescending tone and take digs at Hafeez? For what? Just praising Rizwan?
And we have real Snowflake s on the forum who are defending SRfraz even here. For feeling insecure about Rizwan's praise.
Because that is what differentiates mature people from immature people. By sinking to Hafeez's level, Sarfraz is doing just that: sinking to his level.
I don't agree. You cannot sanction people for running their mouth on social media. Its draconian and sets a bad precedent. Besides that is the whole point of social media in the first place. All Hafeez is doing is showing us how childish he is and guess what? he's allowed to be as childish as he wants. Don't see why he has to be sanctioned for it.
Sarfraz's replies were cringeworthy. Could have replied in one tweet or taken the comment in stride. Instead he got triggered. Hafeez instigated the whole thing quite deliberately but let's not act like he didn't state a fact.
Sarfraz has been very complimentary toward Rizwan's performances. He has been inspiration for other players considering his downfall, mainly due to his own bad form. Management are already treating Rizwan as no 1 so why did Hafeez need to remind them ?
Very cocky from the professor and he is taking shots at Saifi.Since his new found form, Hafeez has started to think of himself as godsent! He tries to across as someone who is wiser than everyone else and holds this authority to comment on every subject matter.
Someone should really show him the mirror and let him know of how ordinary his own career has been.
Why does he feel the need to make a case for Rizwan and especially while, indirectly but completely intentionally, putting down Sarfraz?
Hafeez is one of the most annoying cricketers but is also fast becoming one of the most obnoxious ones too. Idiot!

You're right, I dont understand people calling out sarfaraz only (yah he shouldn't have responded) but what about Hafeez? He could have said congrats and kept it moving, why do you have to add the slight at the end.
Very cocky from the professor and he is taking shots at Saifi.
Sarfraz is not a meek dude and he is gonna respond when someone insults him.
As far as Amir’s concerned, he’s just backing up Sarfraz. Didn’t need to get involved, but nothing wrong with what he said.
Good to see people seeing what is actually wrong with that remark from Hafeez.
You have chosen an apt name for yourself.
Only a snowflake would see this as an attack on Sarfraz or a Sarfraz ******.

I guess you got me good with that very original takedown
But, maybe try and tell that to the several others who have called Hafeez out for the same.
I gave 2 reasons.
Snowflakes or Sarfraz fans.
Rizwan is undisputed No.1 keeper in Pakistan. Where does Sarfraz come into the equation?
Both very compelling reasons, I must say.
No one denied Rizwan's position. When you talk about ranking, which Hafeez did, you automatically bring in the alternatives into the equation.
Poor stuff from all 3 involved. People who think hafeez didn’t do anything wrong here really do lack intelligence and the ability to read between the lines. Nevertheless, Sarfraz shouldn’t have responded and Amir is just being Amir. This is coming from the biggest critic of Sarfraz even back in 2015-2016 when everyone was obsessing over him.

So if Hafeez tweeted "Babar is No.1 batsmen in Pakistan" you automatically bring all Pakistani batsmen into the equation?
They should all take offense and respond to him?
What logic.
Regardless of what Sarfraz feels about Rizwan deep down, he has been very supportive publicly and has praised him generously on social media.
It might just be an act and a PR tactic, but it is what it is.
There was no reason for Hafeez to take shots at Sarfraz in this fashion. Everyone including Sarfraz himself knows that his international career is done and dusted.
It was a completely unnecessary and needless jibe. It seems that Hafeez has a grudge against Sarfraz because of the way he was sidelined from the team in 2018 before making a comeback after the Asia Cup disaster.
Amir though had no business poking his nose in this. He seems to have a problem with everyone apart from 2-3 players.
He is not helping his case at all. At this rate he would never play for Pakistan again even if this management leaves.
Dude, this is not about Sarfraz vs Rizwan. The issue is THE WAY Hafeez, who has btw played so much and under Sarfraz's captaincy, praised Rizwan. Again, put yourself in Sarfraz's position and read that tweet. Coming from a fellow player, that's highly insulting.
Why does he have to put one down to praise the other? It's nk secret that both are fighting for one spot. Calling him the number 1 keeper and questioning why he has to prove it again and again is pitting the two against each other. A fellow player shouldn't be doing that. Come on, you know that.
Power is where power goes.
You really think these guys are decent blokes? They are driven by money and fame.
Hafeez is a prime example. He quietly leeches his way to anyone who is the top dog, be it Misbah or Babar. It’s not that he’s so smart but the fact that the others are so dumb. Yes, Pakistani cricketers are not even crude, they’re barnyard as far as PR goes.
And this isn’t a one-off incident where Sarfraz was upset. I remember a few months back, he was complaining on Twitter and Azhar came to his defense. That’s how these guys operate. They have no loyalty to the Crescent Star, no shame in their performance, and no dignity. It’s you scratch my back and I will yours.
Sarfraz simply has no support these days which is why Hafeez made that remark. He knows Rizwan will enjoy it and since he’s the VC, will welcome Hafeez if the latter gets the chance.
But I will NEVER forgive Sarfraz for achieving his dream and then betraying all his supporters by throwing it away.

Hafeez is allowed to praise Rizwan as far as I am aware. And he's stating a fact.
It seems that Sarfaraz is a bit sensitive to Rizwan receiving praise?

Plenty of bad blood between Sarfraz and Hafeez it seems. Hafeez "retired" from tests during Sarfraz' reign and was pushed down to no.4 to no.3 during that period as well. Both were correct moves though.
Hilarious to see Amir being a mohallay ki phupho among all this mess. Amir should never be picked again regardless of if he is better than other bowlers available. Has a serious attitude problem. Needs to check himself into a mental facility.
The sad thing is, this stupid and uncalled for incident is taking the limelight away from Rizwan who has been doing extraordinarily and is deserving of all the praise.
Can't Pakistan end the career of people like ECB did to KP's? Telling these 3 that they aren't going to be considered for selection again.

So now are some people going to defend this as well
Na hafeez did nothing wrong in praising
Also, hafeez only said the obvious. Rizwan scores 100 he will still get critisized by people
No one is naive enough to believe that Hafeez was not taking shots at Sarfraz.
The “wonder how long you need to prove that you are number 1 wicket keeper batsman in Pakistan” was completely unnecessary and Sarfraz is within his right to talk back.
Closet Sarfraz fans are still criticizing Rizwan but Sarfraz himself has only praise Rizwan, so there was no need for Hafeez to take cheap shots against him.
I know most people don’t like Sarfraz and neither do I, but let’s not be irrational here. Hafeez is 100% at fault here, and there is no justification for him attack Sarfraz in this fashion.
He could have praised Rizwan without taking jibes at Sarfraz.

That is a difference of opinion, and I respect that.
Yes, Sarfraz can certainly take the high road but you cannot blame him for defending himself in the face of a blatant takedown. Agreed that sanctioning everything on social media sets a bad precedent but I guess the board has a responsibility to ensure a healthy team environment, which such instances clearly hamper. Wouldn't you agree?
