Be careful guys. We might be internet savvy but these vultures use their digital superpowers to target the vulnerable. Watch out for your elders.

I receive at least 3 emails a week (Bank, Fidelity, & Which?) warning me of such scammers and how to avoid them.
Once however I got the scam call telling me my computer had a cirus, so I asked the digital clowns what my IP address was, they went into meltdown, especially after receiving a barrage of punjabi abuse.
The first line of defence is the accent, if it doesn't sound British, then hang up.
I usually get calls from someone with a desi accent pretending to be someone he is not - they get abusive if you play around with them so I simply block them
Man this is hilarious. How many of us haven't been called up by someone claiming to be Alex or Robert in a thick Indian accent?
This is not meant to be funny, but I'm sorry it just is.)
Had a call the other day from a guy claiming to be in London and working for a phone company, calling himself John.
Broad Indian accent and sounded pushy.
When I asked him what part of London he was based in, he said Plymouth
Call ended, number blocked.
I get calls from Indian scammers even on my work phone lol, they pretend to be Google Ads rep haha. I always do gaali galoch in Hindi and they get a minor shock and they are they ones to hang up not me.
I am more fed up with Chinese scammers, they occupy my voice mail inbox and it's a PITA. It's always 'you have unclaimed Fedex parcel blah blah, press 1 for Chinese 2 for English'.
For some reason I haven't received any Nigerian scammer email in a long time, Gmail is really good these days to filter such emails. No more you won 10 million lottery emails.
But it's 100% possible that desi accent caller sitting in subcontinent claiming to work for western telecom company is telling the truth at least in Canada. I recently met a newcomer who was already working for a Canadian company for last 3 years from India. It was Ericsson hiring these guys.
Scammers aside, I cannot even look at this YouTuber's coloured hair in thumbnail leave alone watching his video.
Very soon these call centres workers will be made redundant...
They're moving on from these people and have started using AI which have a perfect English accent...
Scum of the earth
Close enough! Closer than Bombay..Plymouth!)
