After watching PSL opening ceremony in Dubai and closing ceremony for the final in Lahore, I think shifting the whole PSL will affect its charm. We know opening ceremony and things like these will be a mess.

Wrong section but I agree with this. Many international 'stars' might not want to tour Pakistan at all

The 'charm' is our people seeing players play
Trust me people will flock to the stadiums even to see the likes of 3rd tier foreign players play....Revenue earned in Pakistan will be 100 times more than in UAE
International players will return as the league becomes stronger and more matches are held in Pakistan orelse we will be stuckbina vicious circle of playing in UAE only forever

Um no, having the league is Pakistan will help the league much more than anything else. There is no league which can sustain itself by constantly playing in a foreign country.

What mojo? Matches in UAE consistently turn out low-scoring. Can't afford that.

It will lose some glamour and glitz...thats for sure.

But at the same time, if the entire PSL is held in Pakistan that means A LOT more sponsors will be on board. That means a lot more revenue.

So it's something that needs to be done to make PSL bigger and better.

This.

But the transition to Pakistan can only happen slowly e.g do a the playoffs in Pakistan next year before moving the entire PSL to Pakistan in a few years.

i was takong about that glamour..

I wouldn't say it will kill the mojo. But it would surely be a visual disaster. Seeing our grounds on TV is the worst thing imaginable. Not really sure about the production quality as well. Sunset+Vine are doing a terrific job in the UAE. Will they cover Pakistan as well?

We really need to work on our grounds. They look horrible on TV. Also if PCB conducts all of PSL in one place i.e. Lahore, believe me we're going to see 50% empty seats when the tournament enters its 5th-6th match phase. You can't expect people to come from the same city every day to fill up the grounds.

neither pakistan nor u.a.e
Psl should be held in england we have seen in champions trophy there are many pakistani fans in england

Its pakistan super league and it should be played in pakistan once security situation gets better in pakistan but PCB must make sure than PSL isnt played on one or two venues in pakistan, it should be played all over pakistan. A lot of work has to be done on stadiums in pakistan and its about time they start improving the quality of stadiums.

Play in lahore , rawalpindi , multan , hyderabad (if not karachi) and gujranwala or sialkot.

It won’t kill the mojo of the league, but they can’t rush it.
Gradually take the league over, with PSL 3 playoffs and finals in Pakistan. These 4 games if successful will allow the rest of the league to come through much smoother.
Najam Sethi had announced 8 games in Pakistan in PSL 3. For me that’s too much too soon.
Play 4 games in PSL 3
Final 2 weeks in PSL 4
And then by PSL 5, Inshallah if all goes well, we can move the league back to Pakistan for good and can thank the UAE for being such amazing hosts
