Don't expect anything less out of Haroon. His decisions in selections are the same as his decisions during his playing days. I remember imran khan saying that Pakistan needed 4 off 8 balls, and instead of rotating the strike this guy went for a big hoick and got out, and that was the end of his career.

He's also credited with discovering Afridi.

When you connect the dots it paints the picture of the basic thinking behind his decisions.

the question is why Khurrum? There were far far better T20 picks available for Pakistani selectors to pick. very difficult to back players that get out the way Khurrum did. At least he should have battled it out there. I wouldn't have cared if he got a good ball and got out but his technique is too terrible to succeed at international level. We don't need a no.3 player like him. Ahmed Shehzad is welcomed with both hands if Khurrum and iftikhar are best we have.

and guys like Shehzad (who i guess you want back) have technique? Shehzad has averaged 11 0ver the last 12 games or so with majority of those games being againzt Bangladesh and Zimbabwe

Khurram should be given 1 or 2 more games. I doubt he won't score atleast against Srilanka & UAE. If he still fails which is quite unlikely than we can select a fit again Babar Azam (if fully fit) or Fakhar Zaman.

Than before PSL players auction I was almost certain that Fakhar Zaman will be picked and I was hoping that Fakhar and Nauman or if not sharjeel and Nauman will be picked for Asia cup and World T20. But it did not happen.

With Sharjeel his technical side of game does not permit him to be consistent enough and he will always be a destructive player who will play match winning innings every fifth or 6th innings and will be destructive tarnishing machine but in between he will fail completely.

For today yes his shot was bad. Wrong shot selection but as a left hander if a left arm spinner is bowling with this angle and he chucks massively than its very difficult to hit out such a batsman especially cross bat. And you know singles aren't his cup of tea.

So massively disappointed.

Before finalists got decided we played 3 games and only won 1 game where Akmal scored. And how miserable situation our team is in than if Akmal doesn't score than we lose the game.

I agree. Once again Umar went for a blind slog. All of our batsmen seem to really overrate themselves when it comes to these low percentage cross-batted shots. We really need to start teaching them to not only play straight, but also to hit straight. It's a far safer and far more successful method of hitting.
