Indians are accusing Bangladesh falsely of a Hindu genocide recently and have been putting pressure on their team to not play Bangladesh.
A recent series between the sides was cancelled for unknown reasons but it is likely due to pressure by BJP government.
Cricbuzz have made the following analysis
While the two boards cited "scheduling convenience" as the reason for postponing the white-ball series, a Cricbuzz report suggests the deteriorating diplomatic relations with Bangladesh prompted India to avoid sending its team to the neighbouring country.
"Relations have visibly and perceptibly got strained in recent times, with the Indian government adopting a tough stance toward its eastern neighbour. Security concerns also appear to be a factor, although the joint statement makes no mention of it," the Cricbuzz report mentioned.
SKY received a lot of flack for shaking the hand of Naqvi who Indian media said made comments against India. However many Bangladeshi politicians have made similar statements regarding using military to target India.
In the spirit of consistency should a handshake be avoided? And will shaking hands indicate India's team approval of the alleged treatment of Hindus in India?
