geo super showing live worldwide, go to their main site. link is on the right

man that appeal acting was hilarious... they all would've seen the huge deflection from thigh pad.

adnan survives only one more delivery, clearly saddened at his non-selection, or "must be unfit" so had to leave big gap b/w bat and pad, though delivery was very good by fahad. good captaincy by younis keeping him going, instead of ehsan.

Adnan akmal looked terrible, beaten in 80% of the deliveries he faced. Just goes to show you the difference in standard between president's trophy and quaid-e-azam!

man, unlucky, lbw for pitched outside leg! must say umpiring was great till this point.

not sure if it was mentioned somewhere in the forum yet or not, but the final is being played with kookerbura ball vs i think ss normally used in domestic, so different for bowlers and acc to one of the "experts" bowlers have to do a lot more "effort" to get batsmen out with kk balls.

this ghulam ali guy says that ehsan needs to learn how to swing it both ways when ehsan did both those things in the last over... then he said that he needs to increase his pace. you just can't win with some people :misbah

misbah got out and his team collapsed :misbah

8-10 k's speed increase for Adil and we can have a gem on our hands he's as metronomic as they come. And the speed increase is possible if he stays in Pakistan setup both Irfan and Junaid have done it so no reason Adil cant.

Were these idiotic commentators suggesting that Ehsan helped Misbah get set yesterday to get picked for Pakistan?

yes, i heard that too. they said it happens often, youngster give favor to seniors and then end up with long career as long as they keep senior happy.

these youngsters....:rehman

to clarify, i heard that in geo super eye before today's play. didn't realize they were saying it again now! clearly they wanted Tanvir or someone to be picked instead of ehsan!

Adil can get more bounce with his height if he can stay upright at point of delivery.

He bowled 16 overs for 26 yesterday. I don't know how can you call that friendly bowling.

Is it me or does Ehsan action kind off remind you of Asif?
Have not seen him bowl that much.. Does his bowling suggest he is cunning as asif too?? That is the quality which made asif more successful.

he reminds me more of shabbir ahmad. tall, thin.

tbh i'm a touch dissapointed with what i've seen of him so far. lacks pace.

Ehsan adil looks like a decent prospect still has a lot to improve though.

I am joining the ali waqas fan club. Looks like a wonderful batsmen from what i can see. Really mature batsmen not playing any hasty shots.

Just slowly going about the business. If im not wrong hes has had good domestic season too.

Shabir was a very good bowler too except for the chucking problem he had.. If ehsan can bowl like him (without chucking that is) he will still become an extremely good bowler.. But i was hoping he turns out to be a cunning ,clever bowler like asif was.

I think 283 is a par score here......A lot will depend on Younis Khan...I think he wont be able to play at 4 if wickets fell early... because he entered the field after 43 overs...

HBL struggling at 26/2

Both openers Shan Masood and Farhat are back in the pavilion..

Younis and Shehzad on the crease now...

HBL openers are pretty poor... looks like Farhat has been hitting the gym a bit more lately, looked pretty fit. Still no temperament though. Masood doesn't know where his off stump is. Hopefully Shehzad shines while playing with YK.

Not sure what people saw in Waqas, I watched the match early on and Waqas was almost out very early slashing outside off and undeedging the ball onto the stumps and then leaving a ball that shouldn't have been left. He seems over reliant on cut shot as well as well as driving balls on the off side towards leg side with an angled bat. Maybe improved as the innings went on. I'm not an expert so maybe I'm wrong!

Nevermind, YK tried to take a suicidal run and is run out. Expected better from such an experienced veteran. Man of crises Asad Shafiq coming out to bat

Samiullah Khan looks an impressive bowler, the way he is seaming the ball in and out. Really hope the Ahmed Shehzad scores a big one here, the guy has enormous talent.

Poor shot from Shafiq, seems likely that Nasir Jamshed will replace him at the number 6 spot.

Perhaps HBL batsmen are eager to return to their T.V sets to watch News coverage from Islamabad...:))

Some exquisite drives by Shehzad. These two youngstas grinding it out and trying to pull their team back. Good to see :ahmed :usman

watta a ball by asad to salahuddin, great in seam bowl, like the ones usually asif bowls. He can be a great 3rd pacer for us in the future, in gul place, as he is seaming it when there is no new bowl swing.

ahmed soldiering it alone in the middle. hopefully gul can support him.

Did Ali bowl better than Ehsan Adill or Gul?

Disappointed in Salahuddin. Hopefully Shehzad stays till the end.

Asad Ali seems an excellent seam bowler, his bowls move sharply when hit the ground, salahuddin was out that way with the in seamer, although salahuddin was a bit in fault as he moved up front to the delivery.

Asad Ali is the choice of bowler i want to have as a 3rd pacer, when there is no swing in air, he can be extremely usefull, he also traps the batsmen.

I rate him to be almost as good as juniad if given a good run in the side.

I am very impressed with our new pace battery, afcource they are not used well by selectors, but they are there. Once gul is removed, we have alot of great new pacers to fill his place. We have:

Junaid Khan (Specialize in Swing bowling both ways + A little bit of reverse swing around 137-142kph)
Mohd Irfan (Specialize Bounce and Fast bowler, around 145kph)
Asad Ali (Specialize in Seam bowling and Bit a of swing bowling at both ways at 135-140kph)
Rahat Ali (Specialize in Swing and bounce bowling with great in swinger to right hander at around 140-144kph)

Sadaf Hussian (Specialize in accurate swing bowling at 130-135kph as far as i saw and heard)
Ehsan Adil (Specialize in swing bowling at around 128-135kph)

Zia ul Haq (Piety raw in every regard but with confirmed speed of 137-144kph)

Misbah sure showed Younis who the Pakistan team captain is.

 at the idiots suggesting collusion between Misbah and Ehsan, even if this happened how did they figure this out but HBL's captain couldn't?

Ahmed shehzad showing his class and living up to the talent hes got, inshallah he'll go on to make a considerable score to help hbl.

That was bakwaas from Karachi commentators. Adil bowls fuller length and Misbah drove him couple of times. He went for 26 runs in 16 overs on day 1.

Ahmed Shehzad is showing he is the best Pakistani opener playing right now!

What does the city have to do with this? The commentators of geo super are extremely idiotic and biased. However there isn't really any need to associate a city with them as that makes it look like they represent the whole city, which isn't the case. I am certain there are biased people in Lahore, Karachi and pretty much every city in Pakistan, You just gotta ignore those fools and not make it seems like they represent the whole city. Just my opinion

Im probz his biggest fan, but i wouldnt say hes the BEST opener, but certainly better than the ones who failed in this game(not mentioning any names) .
He is probabily the most talented in the country and if he uses it properly he can be the best opener , and he deserves another chance in ODIs to show his quality and maybe get selected for tests in the future if others fail, which looks very likely with people like toffee in the team.

our Test openers failing for Sui and our Test middle order failing for HBL - fun times :yk

Yaar as you know I stay away from regional bias in Pakistan cricket but Geo do have this agenda where they always cry that Karachi gets a rough deal. It might be true but it decides cricket fans in the country.

Funny how no-one has mentioned hafeez's amazing bowling stats. 12 overs 9 maidens 3 wickets.
