So, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were not the problem in our T20I side?

Rizwan is never in contention for the WC squad.... Babar's name is circulating though...

I am still waiting for your acceptance and perhaps more importantly your rationale on how Ubaid Shah has already surpassed Steve Harmison.
 
Rizwan time in t20 team is pretty much over

I don't think he will be considered for future in t20

So should focus on odi and tests

Same goes for Babar it will be his last T20 WC

What was the first game that both of them found themselves out of the team? you have to remember too we have played a lot of garbage teams at home in that period

14/4 in PP I remember exactly, yes since that jodi got broken we've been thumped 4/0 by India , though successfully defeated SL Zim & Aus E.
 
RIZWAN was a culprit, however even bigger culprits were brought back and ran the team into the ground!

Bigger losers are:

Shadab
Nawaz
Faheem
Usman K
Salman Ali Agha

Hogging half the team. Can’t win with them in the team.

Farhan strikes at 115 vs SENA+India. of course you are doing bhangra over that as an Indian fan. Pak reached SF in 2021 and F in 2022. Looks like Super 8 in 2026 so hardly an improvement. 2024 had some bad luck with the rain even if the USA game was a lowpoint thanks to choker Amir and big mouth Imad.

Babar has a strike rate of 87 in power plays, the slowest among all batsmen who have ever played t20s.

That was an anomaly , also the loss was more due to bowlers than batsmen , and how have we improved now.
Under this regime we've played 5 x real pressure games 4 with India and 1 with Eng.

If you don't know , We've lost all 5 in a thrashing way.

We have lost these games because of Rizwan. He did not allow our talented youngsters to flourish.

What cop out? Who can perform in every game? Why is Farhan pathetic vs Sena and India? If you are depending on Babar to bail you out vs USA that says it all.

They were not. It was the lack of quick scorers. Unlike others these two were able to consolidate an innings and super consistent as well. Instead of ditching them Pakistan should have built a team around them with quick scorers and pinch hitters and allrounders. Have one of them at the top and the other in the middle. A team can afford 2 consolidators if they are reliably consistent. Yes their consistency wont come at the required rr/sr often but that's the job of other batters. They don't have to worry about losing wicket and try and dominate the bowlers while these 2 give them able support at the other end.
 
None of them were going at a higher sr but these two atleast were scoring consistently dunno why they got more hatred than other tuk tuks who couldn't score as much

This. Some people get it.

All we needed to do was add in a couple of hitters and a proper spinner and death bowler, instead we dissolved the only thing that was working for us.

So, according to this formula, 4-5 runs on 3-4 balls is better because afterall they had better strike rate???

Scoring runs is not important but what is important is 4 runs off 3 balls. Means 133 strike rate... WOw so high

It is indeed Babars innings of 44 of 43 and 25 of 24 in losses to USA and ENG were simply not good enough compared to the par score on the wicket...... It was a lot better if he got out early then waste balls then get out.

14/4 in first 6 overs was better because then power hitters have more chance to score more runs... YEAHHHH

Instead of continuously defending Babar how about admit he's played match losing innings because every player should be criticised if they play those type of innings.

Shadab Nawaz deserve criticism too Saim Agha first tournament is a failure but if they keep failing in future then yes especially if they play 30 of 30 and 40 of 40 type innings wasting balls then getting out.

Its more down to silly shots being played after getting a start.... If he can remove those then he can improve...... otherwise he'll have to play as an all rounder by coming down the order.

None of the top 6 batters deserve a spot in modern t20 lineup but what options do we have? Even Zimbabwe , Wi and Srilanka have modern players and we have Farhan only.
 
Question is who’s going to replace them? Equally worse or even more worse players who are getting bashed by England lions
 
New gen with a talented mind are smart nowadays and they don’t want to destroy their lives playing cricket at domestic level and hoping that someone will catch their talent, the odds of happening this is very low hence they are doing TikTok and YouTube

They have leave this job to back benchers who have no talent
 
If there was merit and money at domestic cricket then surely the talented youth would have still been there playing cricket instead of finding shortcuts with TikTok or YouTube or running abroad
 
And I am not even talking about elite or middle class youth who have forsake cricket decades ago , I am only talking about under privilege youth who were involved in cricket until recently and now they are also running away from it
 
Those who want the two love birds back, something is seriously wrong with you, a couple of steps forward and 20 backwards - The only way I can see that is because you were personally involved with these two so called cricketers and therefore have overlooked the strides this team has made under current set up; was the ICC CT a million years ago? did the group exit in the last WC happen 20 years ago. The bacha party live in an alternate timeline which exists only in the fantasy land of Babar & Rizwan, keep both of them together and this time they will finish off your cricket for good.
 
Time up for both of them in t20 team

Need to build team with youngsters for 2028 edition

They should focus on odi and tests
