South Africa 135/5 at Stumps on Day 2 after bowling out Pakistan for 185 and have a lead of 212 runs

262 was always par for Pakistan. 400+ would have been an innings defeat. I guess we will avoid that now.

How on earth Yousuf thinks both Shafiq and Azhar should play world cup 2019.
 
The only players who merit a place in the team are Haris Baba Abbas Yasir, the rest 7 places are up for grab.. thats how rubbish this team is!!
 
This, ladies and gentlemen, is why we are struggling in Test cricket. Our two most experienced players wet their pants when it's time to stand up.
 
Both balls misbehaved badly, one too low other too high, unlucky for Babar. We need him badly here.

I bet both Shafiq and Azhar will play next test series even though they get pair in this match.
 
Azhar and Asad have let Pak down time and time again even after playing 100 of matches. Imam does not have good technique but still fights out, but we do need an overhaul in our batting line up. Only Babar and Shan should stay in test team.
Pitch however does not seem easy to bat on atm.
 
Imam's been given chances but he's been far better than our more experienced batsmen throughout the series.
 
Hopefully Azhar and Shafiq retire or are dropped by the management.

The pair are a complete disgrace.

Any batsman in his thirties who fails as often as they do has a duty to retire and let younger men have a chance.

Yet these two serial failures cling on by their fingernails.

It’s Misbah’s fault that in 2011 these two mental midgets were preferred to Umar Akmal and Fawad Alam, and the damage has been neverending.

Asad Shafiq’s 88 was beautiful. I am happy to reward him with another series just for that.

He did well in last test 2nd innings because he went after short ball. Should have done the same here. Unfortunately, he is a mental midget.

Agree with you on Fawad Alan but Umar Akmal kept getting himself in trouble. Even Ahmed Shahzad has a lot more fighting capabilities then these two and more flair than Azhar. There are many options now and we don't need to even bother with these two.

I’m saying the wrong players were invested in in 2011.

I’m happy to skip a generation in 2019 though and go to Saud Shakeel and Usman Salahuddin.

Then we criticize Umar Akmal about giving too much chances...

He didn’t get as much chances as Shafiq.

He would’ve outperformed Shafiq atleast.

Well unfortunately for us and the team they know that one innings is enough to book their spot for the next couple of tours so that's enough for them.
 
Although Rabada has taken some wickets but so far in this series he has not looked all that threatening despite bowling to fragile batting line up. Stein and Oliver have caused us most problems.

Shan i heard has his own trainer and coach in England i guess and he worked with them.

I dont think our domestic players (apart from high contract players) can afford that. Shan's case is different due to his background.
 
That bounced a bit. The positive here is that is not a good enough innings to put him ahead of Shan for the Isis

Pathetic innings from imam comes to an end. He should thank SA for letting him score 43. I reckon we will be all out for around 150.
 
Really blows my mind away at how Philander manages to get so many wickets at such pace..

But there are many Rizwan Saad Ali Said Shakily Abid Ali, Usman . Obviously they developed their games in domestics. You do your learning in lowe stake games rather than international.
