What's new

South Africa 135/5 at Stumps on Day 2 after bowling out Pakistan for 185 and have a lead of 212 runs

Sarfraz should come up to the stumps. He’s always reluctant to do so against Abbas or even other medium pacers like Shan.

Finally a short leg. The ball has popped towards that region quite a few times

Hassan Ali lacks control and plan, bowls too many rubbishy delviers all the time 🙄🙄🙄

Haters gonna hate... :sarf

+1
What I have noticed that even when he does anything good someone quickly posts something negative, like he gave a chance as ignore one else did including opposition. When he does a good catch oh he dropped two, though I only recall one proper chance. Fact still remains his keeping has been very good in the three series he has played this season, and batting good enough for keeper batsmen. He has scored just as well as other properties batsmen if not better.

Time to declare the innings. 2 senior chokers will not score again, Imam will not be lucky, Sarfraz will fail, Only Shan and Babar may score. Tailenders will not score over 15 runs combined.
S Africa should humiliate us so we can get rid of passengers from their team and their support boss Inzi.

He is either too hot or too cold. Definitely needs to work on his consistency but is a match winner on his day.

Now is the time for pak to attack and get into the lower order. Cant let the batsmen settle bu giving 4 balls as every run will prove vital and extra vital in 2nd innings when paks batting as we know even 150 can be hard for the to chade.

Asad Shafiq will need a miracle to remain in test team

J'burg is on a plateau, almost at around 2000 metres altitude and this ground is surrounded by golf course & green residential areas. Bugs & bees are constant problem here in summer.

Change the field and try to put some pressure. Bowlers suddenly cant change by shouting during the match but one surely can change the field in accordance with the way bowler is bowling.

This is what we are as a side, too inconsistent. Definitely have the ability but inconsistency makes us 5th, 6th rank team rather than top 3.

I think, they are going through the motion in this innings. Yesterday, there was lots of intensity but today more or less they have left the game. 2-0 down & already out, then took 7/33 to give a wonderful chance for the batsmen to redeem themselves, now bowling 50 overs later facing a 75+ deficit.

Shouldnt be a venue in summers then

Yes batting is definitely a big issue and can de motivate bowlers as well. They are not even inconsistent rather failing pretty consistently. Two most senior test batsmen were the biggest disappointment.

One problem pakistan havent been able to overcome is the 1 four bowl per over. They bowl a good over and release all the pressure by bowling a 4 bowl

He is in the team miraculously for a long time. He will survive because of his huge fan Yousuf, Misbah and Inzi

You forgot Mickey who thinks there is a touch pf Tendulkar in him. :shafiq2

If Shafiq gets replaced, only thing we would miss him for is catching. Although Rizwan is also an excellent fieldsman

Faheem has improved a lot as a bowler over last year. In terms of lines and lengths consistency, he is right up there.

Batting wise he needs to work hard. Can be a really critical player in coming years if he works hard.

Should have been there instead of Yasir Shah in the first two tests. Missed a big opportunity.

Delighted to see him bowl this good, he has improved his pace now aswell, I remember when he started he looked a harmless bowler.

Definitely could have made the difference however without a 5th bowler and considering fitness of few of our pacers, 4 man pace attack would have been really hard on the pacers.

Faheem Ashraf getting double wicket maidens meanwhile Pandya getting sent back to India

Another one for useless allrounder 😉😉
He had an interview after the 70 he scored in the ct17 warm up match. He said he is just a bowler not a batsman.
Tbh it is just the Pakistani public that want him to be an allrounder.
He is just a bowler

Cant believe how biased these south african commies are. Biased commentry and as soon as saf lose a wkt there voices sink like they bot eaten all day

4 down, game isn't open yet, but at least the interest is back. But bowlers have bowled 80 overs yesterday and bowling again before tea today, should be tiered, which might allow tail to add some crucial runs.
