South Africa (210/3) defeat Pakistan (206/5) by 7 wickets to clinch the 3-match T20I series by an unassailable lead of 2-0

InshaAllah South Africa pump 350!
India scored 283/1 last month on this ground . That was against Jansen, Coetzee, Maharaj. So if Pakistan bats first they better aim at a target like 230 or else they will have to bowl extremely well.

It's not 2 years away. It's only 14 months away - Feb 2026.

Also, I don't think you are playing any T20 cricket until after Champions Trophy.

So you effectively have 11 months or so to build a side.
Lol good point I guess. But still there is alot of time left.

Good to see a big ton by Reeza at a decent clip.

Good oppurtunity to evaluate young prospects by playing such series.

He is 35.

Honestly, his record is extremely poor for a player who is clearly a lot better. What his output has been. He should be very disappointed with his career.

Not him, but many younger players can and should be tested in series like this. I would have preferred if SA was throwing mostly players under 22-23 years of age and then see who can swim.

Agree that his record is a lot worse than it should be. But that's what stepping up at top level means. He is pretty much done so mostly good to see him getting a ton but he won't be playing for long.

With all due respect, and irrespective of how brain-dead Pakistan bowlers were tonight, this score was about 20-30 runs short on this ground tonight.

Our batting is heavily reliant on Saim having a good day and we will lose 9 times out of 10 when we post below par scores.

India, Australia or England might have been able to defend this total against this weakened South African batting line-up, but they would have pretty much put the game out of sight at the halfway mark by scoring 220+

It’s crazy I know but modern day cricket has evolved.

Great Kuptaincy today from Kuptain & Mr. Great Personality Rizwan 🤡🤡

The Top Sixes that should be etched in Haris Raufs mind (perhaps),Aqib Javed and PCT fans:

1) Indias VIRAT KOHLI at the MCG in 2022

2) England's Liam Livingstones Monstrous Six at Headingley in 2021

3) South Africas Reeza Hendricks Sixes in 2024

There might be more but I can remember these as of now!

A mediocre one trick inswing yorker bowler like Shaheen wields too much unnecessary influence in the team especially given the number of games he has lost Pakistan single handedly.

He should have been discarded a while back with new pacers being tried.

Defending even 200 plus is not easy on those small ground. Even the mis hit was going for a 6 but this is not an excuse really. The bowlers bowled worst spell again. Haris should have done better job here but he was a traveller.
