Once you can negotiate the first 20 overs of the new Kookaburra, this is actually a good wicket to bat on.
 
Shan has a simple technique. He looks good. Having said that Sarfraz looks good too. Pitch has flattened out. Top order wasted it.
 
Shan Masood has been brilliant, haris injury has been a blessing no way would he have played as well, azhar asad imam babar the plAyers who will be backed no matter what but still consistently let the team down, great to see Shan going back to domestic and working on his game instead of making futile hafeez/ akmal type numerous ‘comebacks’
 
If Pakistan were able to score 350 (which they won't), Yasir Shah would have had a big role to play bowling in the second and last innings of this test. If he is able to bowl well in more supportive conditions, they could have made SA pay for not selecting a specialist spinner but the gamble of picking 4 seamers - utilising the hard new ball has paid off against these sitting ducks against the rising ball.
 
Good stuff from shan , didnt expect such good batting from him. If you have a good head on your shoulders , it definitely does help.
 
Damning stat. Shahid afridi test avg is 36. Asad 'test specialist' shafiq avg is 38!!
 
Great catch.

Masood has been the best of a sorry bunch. Fought hard and played some nice shots.
 
It's that filthy length from Rabada again. He hits the deck so hard at that length, it's pretty much impossible to play. He's gotten so many great batsmen out with it. He's so in control when he delivers it as well.
 
Mr. Drama queen looks angry and trying to do another show for the live camera.
 
The good old days when the likes of younis & afridi use to throw a fit & retire, only to be begged & make a comebak. To prove there worth they use to get 100 or take 5 wckts.

This current lot are beyond hopeless.

Looks like it's going to be a third consecutive dismal winter for Pakistan.

However we will yap on about a few meaningless T20I wins before the PSL begins so all will be forgotten.

Philander is there to make match interesting. If they have gone for another random guy who can bowl heavy ball, Pakistan would have bundled under 50... 🙄🙄🙄
 
Philander is the least threatening bowler out there simply because he has no pace and the pitch is not seaming. Expect Abbas to be toothless. Fahim would probably have done better here. Don't know what Yasir is doing in the team to be honest. He's garbage on hard pitches. And we supposedly have a SA coach who "knows" these pitches inside out.
 
If Sarfaraz can somehow drag total to 175 from here, Pak bowlers can try to fight
 
Philander looks so easy to Face on this pitch ! Just goes to show that it's the other Saffer bowlers' pace and bounce that makes it look harder than it actually is. Pitch itself looks easy to bat on.
 
Sarfraz we really could have done with this in the 2nd innings at Centurion.

Still, a decent knock in fairness.
 
Again poor from Amir, why he is trying to play these balls, I thought he is better than that, clearly not 🙄🙄
 
Sarfaraz playing a captain's knock, hope he tons up. Poor guy must be under so much pressure, mostly self created but he has my sympathies.
 
After all the brickbats, Sarf is now this innings highest scorer.

Mickey should shout at him more often!
