South Africa end Day 3 of the 1st Test on 187/4 with a lead of 29 runs

I trust Hasan but as first change up...... Faheem is the only one who hits deck hard.....get him early Asap

hasan ali isnt fully fit , there is no justification of his lavk of pace other than poor fitness

A lot depends on how many wickets SA lose by the end of the days play they should have a lead by then of 70-80 but if they are 4-5 down they’ll fancy their chances of setting a challenging target.

Pitch is getting flatter Yasir was belting the bowling earlier on De Kock is dangerous he can score quickly.

The pitch has suddenly become good for batting. Where will the wicket come from lol looks tough.

I think he's decided that I'm not going to bend my back, play it safe and prolong my career! I think Hasan version 2.0 is aiming to be an accurate trundler.

Humility when successful says a lot about someone. I used to like Hasan, was a match winner once upon a time. But never liked the public disrespect he showed Sarfraz when Hasan was at his peak. I know people have mixed reactions about Sarfraz, but he is the team captain and that deserves respect. You dont show attitude to your skip in public.

No real problems for South African openers as they take their side to 37/0 at Lunch on Day 3, still trail by 121 runs; All eyes on Pakistan spinners to give put the pressure on the visitors

I knew that day 2 & 3 was gonna be ideal for batting. Pakistan need to bank on Shah and Nauman. InshAllah somewhere we find some luck.

Pakistan shouldn’t relax now cause it could definitely backfire on them. Their bowling attack isn’t the strongest and they aren’t great chasers. In recent times they failed to chase 130 and 150 odd against SL and NZ at UAE and lost by 4 runs in a test match!! They should try bowl them out as soon as possible with a max of 100 to get in the 2nd innings. Anything over that could mean trouble because of psychological barriers when it comes to chasing.

Can someone confirm if Sony is telecasting the series in India? I am hearing a lot of complaints of quality from them. Even though we are getting 1080p HD broadcast in Pakistan.

SuperSport had quite a few breaks in broadcasting yesterday. They even had to play highlights at one point.

Also, it looks like the mods are keeping the commentary and broadcasting comments in a separate thread. Maybe check there.

Karachi has a habit of seeing lower 1st inns scores in tests followed by big 3rd and 4th inns scores. Pakistan need to just dry up the runs and the wickets will come but also need to field well here.

Good fighting spirit by SA openers but Pak's lead is way too massive for this pitch I am afraid.

Brilliant catch from Rizwan that. Can't see Sarfraz catching that one lol!

Yasir is bowling well for a change.

Surprised it took so long for the 1st wicket to fall.

I feel the pitch was at it's hardest on day 1, especially when the quicks were bowling. Still we have a good lead and wickets at regular intervals should do it for us.
Lets say they reach the lead at around 5 down, it will be good for us.

VD Dussen is an amazing batsman. He has bags of talent and unflappable temperament. I have been in love with his batting and character since the first time I saw him, i.e. against Pakistan 2 years back.

A shame he wasn’t discovered earlier. He had the potential to be considered as one of South Africa’s finest batsmen ever.

He will still have a good career but his true potential will not be achieved.

Runs arent easy to come here, good stuff from pakistan bowlers, just need a couple of wickets to really put SA in trouble.

Beating Pakistan is a piece of cake for teams like India, England, Australia, New Zealand and even South Africa in its current shape or form.

They are miles ahead in terms of talent and skill, and if they are mentally switched on, they will always win.

South Africa still have a small chance but they only have themselves to blame here. They threw their wickets away with stupid shots and dumb run-outs.

They should have scored 400 in the first innings and would have won easily.

I thought you switched the tele off as the ground was not as per your standard, what happened?

its definitely better than playing in UAE

Yep, this is a more interesting pitch. Those UAE pitches are lifeless & so is the cricket resulting.

It's a shame the crowd can't come to enjoy their home matches after all these years.

I really admire VD Dussen and de Kock so I will watch when they are batting. I have no interest in watching Pakistan play so I am only concerned with the opposition.

Yes the outfield looks like a grazing field for livestock. Embarrassing stuff.
