^^ Australia suffles their order 24/7 even sometimes bringing maxwell to open? So why doesnt marsh slot down to no 3? And everyone else suffles depending on situation?

Unfortunately, Marsh and Head are locked in as our openers. I, personally would prefer Owen as an opener and Marsh to be dropped.

Owen isnt a no 7. He struggles with the old ball.

He enjoys when the ball is hard and theirs seam and swing on offer

Only humiliation is for people like you who were doing cartwheels over the so-called newfound "aggression" and "intent" of Pakistan in T20Is post Babar & Rizwan, only for them to get brutally exposed in BD in WI.

Pakistan do not have talents like Brevis. Saim is probably the only player who can be aggressive and also consistent and he is part of the team already. You can make a case for H. Nawaz as well, but he needs to play more. Rest are either rubbish hacks like Haris or are even slower than Babar and Rizwan, such as Fakhar (as a top 3 batsman) and Agha.

Your playing style is dictated by the players that you have at your disposal, and Pakistan do not have the talent to be an ultra-aggressive yet consistent T20I team. It is just the delusion of people like you.

Pakistan did decently with its methodology. They made the SF and Final of the 2021 and 2022 World Cups.
 
Brevis showed his capabilities in U-19 World Cup. He is finally starting to cut loose in senior's cricket. Great to see.

I really believe Brevis can be one of the upcoming Fab Fours.

Our current u19 team have many good prospects. They have been beating the SA u19 as well. Problem is BCB doesn't know how to turn some of them into world class.

Brevis + Stubbs + Klassen + Miller looks a very strong T20 team.
 
People are seriously downplaying how good this Australian side really is because of one bad performance. Brevis played an incredible knock the other day, but this Australian side with Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood is still one of the best and most complete T20 sides in the world.

It is T20. Any team can beat team given the conditions.

Do you think he is a product of IPL? He is not.

He is a product of South African cricket. He played like this in U-19 World Cup also.

I knew about his capability even before he joined IPL. I saw him in U-19 World Cup.
 
Owen on ice as concussion, injuries force Aussie changes

Matt Short and Lance Morris both ruled out of the white-ball series with injuries while rising star Mitch Owen is in concussion protocols

Mitch Owen's potential ODI debut will have to wait with the rising star ruled out of the remainer of the white-ball series against South Africa with concussion.

Owen was struck during the second BKT Tyres T20 in Darwin after top-edging a Kagiso Rabada delivery into his helmet's grille from the second ball he faced.

The Tasmanian passed the on-field assessment but after he was dismissed, bowled by Kwena Maphaka for eight, he presented delayed symptoms of concussion.

As per Cricket Australia's concussion protocols, Owen will now have to sit out for a minimum of 12 days.

It means Owen will miss the deciding T20I in Cairns on Saturday and the subsequent three-match ODI series against the Proteas.

Matt Short and Lance Morris have also been ruled out of the ODI series and will instead focus on getting prepared for the start of the domestic summer.

Short was picked in both squads to face South Africa but a side injury that he picked up while training in the West Indies hasn't recovered as quickly as the medical staff had hoped.

It's been a frustrating period for the Victorian who missed the Champions Trophy semi-final in March with a quad injury and missed all five T20Is against West Indies with the side complaint.

Morris meanwhile was picked solely in the ODI squad for this winter series and looked primed to play his first international since November last year.

The WA quick had been with the Aussie camp in Darwin but he "reported lower back soreness and has returned to Perth for further investigation and assessment" according to a CA spokesperson.

Coming into the ODI squad are Matthew Kuhnemann and Aaron Hardie, both of whom are already with the team from the T20 leg.

Australia's most in-form batter Tim David, whose past four T20I innings have yielded scores of 102no, 30, 83 and 50, has not been added to the one-day squad.

Although not initially selected, Hardie was brought in as cover for Short in Darwin when it appeared the Adelaide Strikers captain was unlikely to be right for the first two matches.

Kuhnemann's most recent ODI came in June 2022 during Australia's tour to Sri Lanka while Hardie was in this year's Champions Trophy squad but didn't feature.

Wicketkeeper Josh Inglis, who missed the second T20 with "flu-like symptoms", will remain with the squad.

The Aussies will also welcome back Queenslanders Xavier Bartlett and Marnus Labuschagne for the 50-over portion of the series.

Of course he is a product of SA cricket setup. But currently his primary employer are CSK. Playing for SA is his second job. :)

If he had to choose between IPL and SA, who knows he may pick IPL! ;)

Not sure of this decision to chase. Darwin is traditionally a tough, slow and spinning wicket

Used to be a time when Aussies used to practice here before Asian tours.

Even chasing 160-165 might be tough

Aus is botching it with Owen though. Owen is the perfect future replacement to Marsh juat saying. He's actually more talented then Marsh tbh

Why Miller is not playing this series? Without Klaasen (retired already) and Miller South Africa lower order is not much impressive. :kp
