where are you on the points table ?

lol parnell gets a over throw , thats 2 points ..what a champ :)))

lol mid-table! :(

But Smith should have helped me somewhat.............damn those useless bloody fielders! :pissed:

What a performance from England, outclassing South Africa today. Shah and Colingwood were impressive in the middle overs, and Morgan blasted England past 300. It was always going to be a tough target and despite Smith's stunning century South Africa ended well short and are out of the tournament. Sri Lanka are still in with a chance of making the final four, depending on the result of the England-New Zealand match

Come on Nas you're team are in the semi's

Give us a smile.

By the way when is the final? What date I mean?

Monday October 5th, is the date for final.

dint England beat SA 4-0 last time they played each other ?

can some one confirm this ? was there a SA-End match after that bilateral series ?

All the commentators, analyst, pundits and former players making predictions about ICC tournaments should by now realize that the safest prediction they can make is not to include South Africa as one of the favorites...

When will Chappel et al learn...

Post-match presentation:
Smith: "It's jugely disappointing, I think it's about giving your all, unfortunately we fell 22 runs short. Two of the games, we have given away over 300 runs, it's difficult to chase that much regularly. You have to give credit to the way England batted, anything around 300 we would have cruised in but 320 was a step too far."

yup they did under KP

Smith played an awesome knock but he was left stranded. I was expecting some fireworks from the lower order but that didn't happen. Goes to show that no team is favourite here, anyone can beat anyone anytime!

On paper their always gonna be up there.

And eventually they're gonna come good.

Just not this time.

Yes I think they beat them 4-0 or 5-0 can't remember, under KP...

Post-match presentation:
Strauss says that's the best he has seen England bat in an ODI. "The way Paul and Owais played the spinners was crucial, setting the platform for Morgan at the end. For the last 18 months, Anderson has been expceptional, and now he's learning to have a Plan B even when the ball isn't swinging. "

Post-match presentation:
Owais Shah is the Man of the Match. "Can't wait for fielding practice tomorrow," he jokes. "I'd love to bat on this pitch everyday. It was a beautiful wicket to bat on."

If New Zealand beat England, they will make it, otherwise it will be down to net run-rate between them and Sri Lanka.

is SA short of talent?

No , i never said SA are a bad side

its simple , England and NZ have some very talented players & they have been under performing for far too long ... expected them to come good at some point .

some of m fav players outside Indin team are Ross Taylor & Collingwood ..&others like Denly , morgan , Ryder , Guptil , Wright & Swan are pretty underrated as ODI players
