Yes, Babar could have accelerated more, but then again, the middle order is the more glaring issue.

People have unrealistic expectations from Pak batting. Considering how ordinary our middle order is, its as good as we could have hoped for. Need someone in the middle order who can creat an impact and can be a match winner on his day. Nothing much in sight as well and one can only hope someone like Haider can develop in that role.

Not a bad score but our middle order letting us down means we are still a good 30-40 runs short. Combined with the fact that our bowlers are not in the habit of defending totals (like PSL) means it’s going be an intriguing second half of the game.

No. ‘Fearless Cricket’ and ‘modern cricket’ means you score 300+ 8 out of 10 times. We wouldn’t have reached the 300 mark without Hasan Ali.

Sure Babar’s innings looks good on a scoreboard, but if you watched the whole innings, it was a disgrace. From the moment he stepped on the pitch, you could tell that he was there to get his #1 position on the ODI rankings.

If anything, this innings cements the fact that Babar does not deserve that #1 spot on the ODI rankings

It was funny seeing Maharaj, Markaram and Smuts bowling in slog overs without getting destroyed ( until last 2 overs)

Imagine if Rabada and Norje was bowling slog overs, Hasan Ali would be be sitting duck with his wild slogs.

320/7 should be enough for SA-B but poor efforts from Pakistan...too old fashioned cricket and lack of ability in some players.

Quite unnecessary for Pak fans to blame Babar. 320 is a decent score and you have a bowling attack that can defend it. SA is without its top bats. This game is Pakistan's for all intents and purposes.

Didnt the names you have mentioned played in last two ODIs, one off which Pak won and lost 2nd one by a small margin.

Pak’s current gen players are not as good against spin which is disappointing but, ifs and buts you are trying to apply dont make sense as they all of Rabada and co have been playing the series.
