Can't blame PAK selectors here - BBL picked Shinwari and he did perform there on almost similar wickets. But, from his bowling here what I realize that the couldn't factor the boundary length of 60 metre in J'burg (effectively 50 metres for altitude) against 70+ Aussie grounds. The length he is bowling is absolutely perfect at that pace for any Aussie ground apart from Adelaide, but here he'll go for plenty.

He is U23 (and South African certificate), has scored 2.5k FC runs at 55/66 stats with 9 hundreds from 51 innings (and 8 fifties, means kid knows how to convert and play long, has 2 doubles already as well); has scored 1.3K List A runs at 50/87 stats with 11 innings of 50+ out of 29 (that's 1 in 2.5) and he has 750+T20 runs at 32/128 stats, mostly in SAF domestics therefore signs are really encouraging. But yes, spin play is an issue, but that's true for even Joe Root - this is his improvement area.
