The truth is gonna hurt a lot of people here but Afridi is probably the best batsman in the team in terms of strike rotation, can easily take 2 runs with ease
 
Leave Umar alone guys

He is going through a bad patch and should be likely the come back in form soon given that he gives up the gloves to someone else and is able to work on his batting

Hopefully at least we'll learn by next ODI. India were down 210 for 5. Had they played an extra bowler, they would have been in trouble. Instead they are still going looking to accelerate their innings.

Even SA are playing 7 bats against us.
 
Our 50 over game has regressed so badly over the year is gone beyond a joke.

What's the point in having a decent bowling line up if you have the worst batting line up in world cricket
 
It's probably a high dot-ball percentage.
But the percentage of deliveries beating the outside edge is probably just as great.
 
Very good from Maqsood.. missed two balls from Philandar in a row... next ball comes down the wicket and dabs it to leg side... thinking cricketer

I don't know what is hard to understand, mom of them has foot work, they don't know their off stump. They all look like just landed from tape ball to test cricket. It's wishful thinking that they can score, more often they don't... Bowlers know what we are capable of, the more we play with quality teams the worse we get, mainly it exposes our technique...

Technique is not the criteria in the minds of selectors or fans, both want to see hitters, the why complain about results??

afridi can rotate but will not last more than 10 balls
misbah cant rotate but will last 70 balls.
and who will end up with a higher score at the end?
 
I dont think 200 will be a bad score for Pakistan. With the bowling attack Pakistan boasts, Pakistan should be able to defend anything over 200.

The average 1st innings score here in a day game is just 183 and Pakistan should be able to score more than that
 
Must say Maqsood has been very very lucky... SA dropping two relatively easy catches - now that does not happen often.

200 would be a very good score. Let's hope, we get close to it.

Just because some of his top edges fall beyond the fielders, he is good at strike rotation now?

Care to explain whose fault is it that Misbah and Afridi have to play like that due to their batting positions? Misbah coming in when the score is typically 10/3, Afridi coming in when the score is 142/6. You can't expect miracle results from these two when the top order (or Misbah's tuk tuk) fails ALL the time. They are left with TOO MUCH to do

Using a hyperbole to make my point seem ridiculous is a poor tool to get a point across.

Coming in at 30/2 wit 35 overs left vs 80/4 with 20 overs left is a totally different situation. In one you have batsmen below you, a good time to up the run rate and it isn't solely on you. In the other, you are the last batsmen in, the RR needed is ridiculous and it is on you to win the match. Just saying.
 
We will definitely get to see Bilawal and Anwar Ali bat today. Let's see how useful they are as a batsman.
 
How can Pak managemnet be such cowards, its time for the team management to be bold and tell Hafeez he is nither an openr nor a no 3 batsman. Please drop Jamshed and Hafeez. Bring in Sharjeel and Harris

Its actually true, if Afridi bats with a brain he's actually a better batsman than our top order.

So you think the others are much better in terms of the inability to pierce the gap or just plainly hitting to fielders? At least the scoreboard is ticking with Afridi squeezing out runs.
Clear example of Jamshed playing to cover and shouting "no no no no"

I am with you. I hate bits and pieces cricketers. I would love to see five proper batsmen + Umar Akmal (until we find a decent keeper that is a reasonable bat) + 5 bowlers (until we find a very good allround that can get into the team by itself for batting and his bowling)

No, I didn't say that. Just that the odds of Afridi coming off is very low to even say such a thing
 
Afridi just hit a six. WHat a wild slog by Maqsood. Where is your brain son. Twice today you have played the exact same shot and got lucky.

BTW why cant Afridi play sensible cricket every day!
 
Powerplay is in the next over. Why play shots like that? I dont get Pakistan. If you want to show aggression then why not take it?
