It's test cricket. Not odi or t20.

It was a good innings but he dis throw it away and was being a bit too overly aggressive. Could have easily scored a 100 here.
 
havnt seen someone more out of line since will smith at the oscars

Last time PAK played at SuperSport , they were up against a trio of Steyn, Rabada and Olivier who averaged 140 kph between them in the first 40 overs .

PAK were 111/8 before recovering to 181.

And this is what he must not do to establish himself. Once he gets a start or a 50 not gift his wicket by a loose cross batted shot to a dibbly dobbler. Good test cricket is about putting a price on your wicket and that’s why abdullah also was never established as a test batsman.

Why isn't the same criteria being applied to Babar? Wanna pull up stats on babar's first 3 test games?
 
This is it for Babar. No more C/D players in flat tracks and Babar will never come back. In few years he will be faded away as he has powerful influence on PCB to stay few years with 0 performances.

When these guys say to me “you are right about XYZ player but wrong about Rizwan”

I sip on my tea and think,

The people who are wrong about Rizwan are those who argue he is a GOAT/Legendary status/ world class is based on the random 50 he scores after so many failures and below par innings in the big matches and the crucial batting positions he demands for himself.

The guy is an absolute con artist, and he has plenty of people to promote his con on social media

He wa never elite players to start with. Only performed against C/D players in flat tracks.

This is not a steve smith situation. Prime smith is literally the 2nd best test batter after vradman, dude was avg 70 to 86 uear by year. Even after a fprm slump, the gap between him and babar in test is clear.

babar in prime was never good in test. Was a bang avg batter in said format hemce his form slump doesn't need to fit in a resurgence price tag.

Because Babar is neither a newbie nor the worst player in the team. The weakest spot was in the opening. Plug that first. They kind of half plugged it today.
 
Was a matter of time before Rizwan got out - playing with hard hands so far out in front of his body.

Same old story of PAK batting in SENA conditions. Just when we've absorbed a spell of pressure and look set to put the hammer down on the bowlers, we lose our heads.

Cause they view cricket as a simulator that's why.

What kind of logic is this? We have never had a 50+ avg and 40+ keeper bat + batsmen for pakistan before Babar and rizwan so these 2 are no 1 and no 2 best odi players for pak and Babar the test player is > Travis head the test player because Travis is a htb.

Oh bhai phelei teach Babar to be a HTB, cause the last time he got dropped in his own den for Kamran ghulam 🤣🤣.

Horrible logic. Travis head is in the class of Warner and gilly while Babar is a latham/ Labu level odi batter and in test he isnt even on that level.

He is 100% the worst player in the team excluding Abdullah Shafique.

Shan masood has been performing better them babar in test cricket. He outperformed him vs Bangladesh and England and even today.

That's right SHAN MASOOD THE 28 AVG TEST BATTER SPANNING 10 + YEARS, is better them babar in test atm.

He fought very well in extremely tough conditions. Just the wrong strategy even the best make mistakes sometimes
 
Crazy bounce off a length. Don't mind if a batsman is dismissed from such a delivery.

What's inexcusable is when we throw our wickets away.

We'll do well to get 200 from here.
 
The dumb shot KG played to get out was initially played by Rizwan when Pakistan were 60-4

Can someone please tell me, why does Rizwan think it’s OK to play cowboy cricket shots in his first 2-3 balls in Test cricket…but he looks to accumulate his first 15 balls in ODI, and around 10-13 balls in T20s?

He plays T20 and ODI cricket with more caution than he does in Test?

So you agree Abdullah was thé worst player. So he’s dropped for none other than KG. what next (for next match?)
 
Since Paterson dropped his pace and got a bit chubbier he's become more accurate and gets wickets.

I did say it even before this series that he'll probably get a handful against Pakistan.
 
Compare Babar with Kohli is like compare Potato with Apple. Babar is not even good to tie the shoe lace of Kohli. This guy can only perform against C/D types of players in flat tracks.
 
Selectors should have picked Azam Khan as keeper for this Test series, Rizwan seems out of position here

I'm afraid you have been proven wrong plenty of times by Rizwan and he does play enough off isde shots,saying 0 shows how dishonest you are when it comes to Rizwan.

What will happen and what you want to happen are two different things. They won’t drop the captain and they can’t drop Babar on his first match back. What then? 4 days to go though. We may well win this. Abbas will be lethal here.

Stop defending babar. Babar was always nothing more then marketing hype.

The marketing hype was created because Pakistani fans were desperate on trying to have babar become Kohli's rival who in that era was the best all format batter.

Now the focus has shifted because Pakistani fans desperately want babar to be > Travis head who is currently the best all format batter in this era.

This obsession led to putting babar in places where he doesn't belong.

Babar is no different to any player in the current dug out auch as kamran or saud and talent wise saim, Fakhar have always been > him. Even haris sohail was.

It's sad but it's true. Pakistan is a poor poor poor country with poor poor systems. It's foolish to think a batsmen on the caliber of developed and economically stable countries will just show up and compete.

So please don't peddle this talent or we don't have anyone else narrative. Babar is easily replaceable in pak, it's not a big deal. Infact sam konstas has played just one game so far and I can already tell the guy will have a more succesful career then babar.

That's the difference in quality
