The problem with Pakistani cricket are many but one is a pattern with us and that is that we do not win crucial moments.

In this game, South Africa are 29/2, FAF is struggling and having to resort to take chances, plays an aerial shot and a difficult but catchable chance is dropped by Shadab. Next over FAF takes out two boundaries and the pressure is back on Pakistan.

29/3 after ten overs in a possibly rain curtailed match changes the whole dynamic. The next batsman coming in has to wait for a few overs before breaking free and that is the same time when the spin is going to be in play meaning a few quick overs could possibly just go there. All of a sudden, it's 17 overs and the score is around 55 and extra pressure on the batting team.

We just don't seem to win mini moments and that's why our cricket has been struggling for quite some time now.

haven't heard of mohammad musa and last i checked naseem shah was recovering from injury.

It's not about howlers, it's the moments of brilliance that matter.

As I type that, Shadab has missed another run-out opportunity for Amla too. Good to great teams do not do that, Ponting and Symonds have won matches from the field doing run outs, even in last match despite all their trash fielding, Andele's catch of Hafeez was vital and possibly the difference between 317 and 340.

These are fine margins but that's how international cricket is. And we just don't do enough to actually be considered as a good team.

I think, he is upset not being given new ball. Obviously, this is a decision taken long back, but he might haven't accepted that. Was bowling well in 1st over, then not sure why went to do fancy staff with seem position. Still, best bet for WC plan, may be after that he should be forced to retire from ODI, because I don't see him surviving till 2023, that too in IND. The blunder PCB did after 2011 & 2015, has to be corrected after 2019 - brutally purge anyone over 29, for pacers make it 25.

The complaints about bazid droning might be valid, but still he knows the game in Pakistan. If not bazid, then the psl guys need to look for new voice talent. That’s how it works. It’s just not sustainable that we not rameez, wasim (equally clueless), Amir Sohail (heavy breather from a crank call), bazid (excellent understanding of Pakistan’s game, but needs more work on delivery)
