Was just watching few political documentaries over the weekend so basically this is a rant from my side as I have kind of given up on peace between India and Pakistan, and as a consequence the whole Subcontinent.

We as a group, have underachieved a lot. Imagine if we had open borders between India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Nepal etc.

Imagine it was like European Union, trading as a single market bloc with rest of the world.

Imagine the exchange of goods, and trade and commodity exchange because of each region having unique capability.

Imagine the potential of cultural exchange, tourism potential between Himalayan Peeks, the desert of Thar and Sindh and Sundarbans and
rich legacy of architecture all over the Subcontinent.

We go to Europe to see Roman Architecture, imagine the potential of toursim for Mohenjodaro and Harrapa Civilization.

Imagine is all we can do.. Rant over.

I think Europe gets along well because they have a shared Christian identity. Europe is a Christian continent.

Subcontinent is a bit too diverse. You have lots of Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. A lot of the conflicts are religious in nature.

So, I don't think united subcontinent can happen. There are too many differences and agendas.

Sri Lanka problems with Tamil hindu, Bangladesh problem with Hindus, India Killing Muslims, Pak almost every minority group

Yeah good luck with "United, peaceful SC"

Sad that religion must stop the region from flourishing together like the EU. Religion is not ever even considered or discussed in the EU.

Historical coins recovered from Moenjo Daro

SUKKUR: A pot full of copper coins was discovered from a stupa in Moenjo Daro during conservation work here on Thursday.

According to sources, labourers were excavating a collapsed wall when they came across a pot full of ancient copper coins.

Director of Conservation and Preservation Syed Shakir Shah confirmed that a number of coins carefully packed in a pot were recovered and they had been sent to a laboratory for analysis. He told The News that research would be undertaken to analyse how old these coins were besides interpreting the language and numbers inscribed on them.

Shakir Shah said labourers recovered the pot of coins during excavation but buried it again. Later some of them informed the officials of the Archives Department who then dug them out. He said some of the archaeologists were of the view that these coins were centuries old, but nothing could be said with certainty at this point in time. The exact time period and other relevant details could only be confirmed after a laboratory analysis, the Director of Conservation and Preservation said.

Things are changing under the leadership of honourable PM Narendra Modi. He’s not just a regional leader but a global leader well respected around the world by politicians and people alike. We South Asians never had a leader like him in the past who unified our cause under one umbrella.
