My reviews

Nanum Rowdy Thaan -- A very hillarious movie. Nayanathara looked a million bucks..and Vijay sethupathi is fantastic 7/10

Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom -- I havent laughed so hard in a long long time . Absolute 10/10. Vijay sethupathi again brilliant

Yatchaan -- a decent movie . 6/10

Soodhu Kovvum -- a hillarious black comedy again. 7/10

Chennaiyil Oru Naal -- Decent. 6/10..could have been better

Mayalam movies:

Premam : absolute 10/10. A complete directors movie

Memories: A very good crime thriller from dhrushyam's director. 8/10

Om shanti Oshana -- A fun romcom from a girls point of view. Nazriya !!! 7/10

Watched Bangalore days again -- Absolute 10/10 ....Parvathi is my new favorite actress

Oru Vaddakkan Selfie -- Decent movie. 7/10

I love the new age directors in Tamil and Malayalam -- each have their stamp and some of best movies are made in south indian cinema these days along with Marathi. Bollywood and Telugu needs to do a lot of catch up.

Have seen only her tamil movies Poo,Maryan very good actress with looks but have a dislike for Dulquer or probably jealous of him or may be he isn't half as good as his Father :\

Not sure, but I think they were decent from what they are. decent romcom and a fun thriller...to watch one evening. Obviously not ground breaking or anything

I also watched Ustad Hotel which was very good.

Dalqueer is good man...atleast in the three movies i saw of him. Bangalore days, Ok Kanmani and Ustad Hotel. Obviously no where close to his father...but his father is freaking Mammoty. there are like 4 to 5 actors in the whole of India in his league...we are talking Kamal Haasan and Naseerudhin Shah League.

Watch "Ennu ninte moidheen" if you like Parvathi. It's based on a true story of 1960s. :)

Mammooty and Mohanlal are legends in Malayalam Film Industry. Dulquer, Nivin, Fahad and Prithviraj are all toddlers in front of them.

My impression as a Non Malayali is Prudhviraj is over remaining three in terms of box office and filmography over the last ten years. Not true? Somewhere between the Mohan Lals and Navin Paulis

Mili stars amala paul and nivin. Haven't seen so can't comment.

Neram is fine, not the best. Nazriya looks really gorgeous in the movie.

Oh right...Amala Paul. she is a fine actress as well. Seen a couple of her movies. Liked her in Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi

Nah..you get that impression because of his movies in tamil, hindi and Santhosh sivan's "Urumi". Even in "Ennu ninte moidheen" he is the lead actor but everyone are praising Parvathi, lena and Sai kumar who are the real heroes.

Not a big fan of Mohan lal find him a bit girly no offense.Like Mammooty a lot probably coz his voice and expression also the fact that he has done more tamil movies which i have liked.

True that i just said i'm jealous of him coz of Amaal Nizam an indirect batchmate of mine :P and he is actually very well behaved in real life unlike Simbu.

I absolutely loved Premam, Bangalore days and memories. Didn't watch vadakkan selfie but had great expectations for om shaanti oshaana. Was terribly disappointed. Found it very boring tbh.
 
Nazriya is massively overrated. Om Shanti Oshana was a terrible movie as well. Premam was pretty good. The young actors in Malayalam are quite decent - Fahad,Dulqer,Nivin etc. Padmapriya was the last decent actress though IMO.

Acting wise Mohanlal is the best. If you are combining personality, voice etc Mammooty is way better. And Amaal is really pretty, can understand your beef with Dulquer.:D

I think Mohanlal can cater only to Malayalam audience whereas Mammooty could had easily become a pan India actor if he wanted to.

Ravi Pillai also did a lot of charity work along with it. The money that he spent is legally earned by him through his hardwork in the Gulf. He has every right to make his only daughter's wedding grand like that

The best Commercial movies of Tamil this year, all others have been disappointing.Sadly for Jayam Ravi he is totally overshadowed by Arvind Swamy.

He is literally the hero of the movie from his introduction to his last scene. Amazing after playing the ultimate dream hero all these years, he pulls off the role of a villain with such charisma.

Even rajnikanth is marathi, that didn't stop madrasis from worshipping him. too much into cult of personality, as if they suffer from inferiority and need to lionize someone to overcome that.

For about good 10 years he said he stopped watching any movies and was taking care of his business. He played a cool, psychopathic villain. The world has more villains like him than the usual weak "DAAAAIIIIIIIIIII :bhatti" and "KOLDRAAAA AVANA!!!!! :rahi " villains. Need more villains like him, hell he could even play as a dark hero. I think Vijay will do well acting as a villain, long as his expressions don't change every 15 minutes.

Never liked Shurthi, she speaks tamil with a fake accent try to sound cool. She is so whack. So is hansika. We need more actress who can act, and not appear for 10 minute screenplay and then dance in 2-3 songs.

The biggest issue i have with Tamil industry is that 55% actresses are imported and they don't speak Tamil or even dub for their films but Guys have to be local.
Having Tamanna,Hansika,Kajal all who don't speak Tamil it is extremely unfair its only if its even done for guys if not its just hypocrisy.

Not unfair. They are chosen because they are fair. They show fair skinned actress for the same reason they show swiss mountains in their songs.

It pisses mee off, why bring someone like Shreya and Hansika who can't act or synchronize their lips properly ? Then again and again there are like 3 female dubbing artist who give their voice to all the actress, it annoys me when all the actress sound alike. Its all the directors fault, maybe if skin colour is so important then they should import White directors who can't direct movies.

This actress is beautiful, cause she wasn't light skinned enough she didn't get many chance.

Im sure the number is morel like 99%. Kajal is hot, I have a crush on her :afaq. Tamannah is just a garbage looks so whack. Namitha is in 2004 and Kajal of recently are my girls ;). And Abarna from Danush's Puthukottayilirunthu Saravanan,

True, failing to understand fair skin obsession only on girls although Priya Anand is refreshing but seeing more and more imports .Hansika,Tamanna and Shruthi annoy me the most.

The number is increasing for sure and i understand Kajal thing she is south indian looks one reason she gets more movies here.
For me Parvathy(Maryan,Poo) and Priya Anand among best looking south Indian girls.

I really cant believe how Sruthi Hasan continue to get chances in Tamil movies .Literally every single movie of hers has flopped horribly .Not just her voice is irritating even her acting is pretty comical stuff
