What happened to Jason Roy?
Malinga should have retired awhile ago. Has been useless since 2012 when ICC introduced the garbage 2 new balls rule and is mentally weak and cant take a beating by the batsmen
Root special needed again
And we thought Pakistan could beat Sri Lanka on a green pitch
Obviosuly they could. Don't let these 2 wickets fool you.
It might as well have been like the CT 2017 match without Sarfaraz being dropped multiple times
And we thought Pakistan could beat Sri Lanka on a green pitch
Should bring back Hales, he is the main architect of both the 400+ England managed to score.
This isn't a green pitch, it is a slow and sticky pitch.
They are a different side now. Their batting is very brittle.
Indeed but the pitch in Bristol where our match with Sri Lanka was going to be was green.
Was hoping for Sri Lanka win. Had they got 250 plus , it may have been a closer game.
Again giving the lie to the idea that the ECB would make roads for every England match. This isn't a green pitch, it is a slow and sticky pitch.
It seems England really struggle in such wickets which is slow ish, sticky and has a bit of grip in the wicket.
What’s exactly changed for England, England’s had most of these batsmen in 2015 wc too what’s changed is the mentality, approach towards ODI/LOI and hence the beliefs have gone sky high, playing such brand of cricket and scoring 400s with ease.
But on slow gripping sticky wickets Englands power hitters don’t have the freedom to fully open up the arms and muscle it with the big hits. This is where England might struggle if they play against India in the semis or final, and wicket has anything of such slowness.
England go top of the table tonight if they win....not looking guaranteed at the moment though......

SL needed to get 260-270. 270 is such a good score in WC’s in such wickets. Both BD and SA if they had 270 against NZ, they both would’ve won.
We need this pitch vs England if we them in knockouts.
Get to it bcci
1 partnership will win it 4 england. Also dnt think s lanka has the firepower to finish this of
SF1 Manchester (our Pak game ground)
SF2 Edgbaston (sa vs nz game ground)
Lanka are better than recent results suggest. They just can't press home an advantage. They have talent and skilled young cricketers. They will be a force again in a few years.
If englnad lose today (which look still unlikely )then their chance of reaching semifinal surly hurt
Are you brit eng born? Come on. Got to show England some love ji. I get you’d support your motherland/origin against England but against others England should get support. That’s how I see it anyway.

De Silva should bowl.
Two lefties on the crease.
