An opening partnership of 26.

I can almost hear the jackboots of revolution echoing as I say it.

SL fast bowlers need to get a few wickets , just cannot expect the spinners to run through all times.

England's highest opening partnership of the season? 48 :)))

Nick: "One thing that suprises me is that Sri Lanka hasn't used Samaraweera as a bowler for ages... When you look at his figures, he happens to be their best option : he got 357 firstclass wickets @ ave: 23.42 / econ: 2.79... He actually bowled for his club on March 16th and got 4/54. So... anyone knows why?"

Two spinners operating and both english openers still in, that's a good news for England.
Tough I think Randiv should be the one bowling!

In response to the shouts of 'Barmy Army' by some English supporters, a frustrated SL supporter is shouting 'Sri Lanka-Sri Lanka' when the camera focuses on him:)))

I will put my money on SL until England make more headway. A wicket or two and SL may be back in business.

Lol i can already foresee a draw.

I beg to differ on this. Last 2 days, the pitch shall play some tricks. If England can somehow get a lead of around 150-200, I would safely say that it'll be England's game to lose.

This is painfully dull.........but for us, it's vital

We'd better win the test match after today's borefest.

Half-century for Captain Average. For the record Strauss has played no better than he usually does really. Just had a difference in luck - been dropped twice at short leg. Past his best.

Mahela trying to get the ball changed cos his seamers are rubbish.

Cook reverse sweeps to get to 49, crowd clap England reaching 100/0

Tony Grieg - 'so that's his half-century...oh wait no it's not'

:)))

The stage is set for another pressure-free Ian Bell pancake run-a-ball hundred

Followed by edging behind for 2 in the first test versus South Africa when we're already 50/3

46 overs, 110/0.......in Galle our first innings had already been bowled out in 40 overs

What a crap season

Be positive Whippy......er James.

Hopefully England will get a lead close to a hundred and pressurise SL.

England will win this one, SL again batted poorly, batting first they should have got 400.
