Ishant is giving send offs! Oh, can you imagine how England felt losing a Test match to this hopeless bowler? Oh the shame!

Here he is sledging Herath. Why would anybody want to sledge Herath?

Good that there is no provision to suspend a player during the course of play in cricket![]()
Where's the rain?!
KL Rahul slip fielding hasn't been great. Rather have Rahane at 2nd Slip and Kohli at 3rd.
Anybody would do better than Kohli. He has dropped about half the catches at slip. He has lowest % of catches taken among Indians.
Rohit Sharma, Murli Vijay and Rahane would be the normal slip cordon now that Rohit has cemented his position![]()
Rohits position depends on Shastri's future prospects![]()

Legendary Ishant and Sir Binny bowled very well in pairs..
I remember there was a time when Zaheer Khan basically took up the role of bowling coach for the Indian team and it worked really well for them as Zaheer was a guy everybody looked up to.
It seems like Ishant has now taken up that role. Always chatting with the bowlers, giving tips and leading from the front. Another feather in the cap of a bonafide legend! Long may it continue!
Would really love to have Zak as our bowling coach once he retires. He had more brains than these bunch of Indian bowlers combined.
Lol I thought it was Herath who walked down to the pitch to sledge Ishant and Ishant followed suit to meet Herath in the middle of the pitch and then Herath just swayed away and walked over to the umpire?
Is that what happened?
Is that what happened?
I Sharma to Herath, no run, banged in short on middle and leg, Herath ducks under it and weathers a stare down. And as the bowler was walking back to his mark, he turns and strides up to the middle of the pitch, then looks up about a couple of feet to find Ishant and give him a death stare! Umpires intervene, Kohli is told about it, but I cant make out if anyone said anything.
Something funny happened before that!
Oh Ishant and Herath have a heated exchange. Not sure why though! Virat steps in. Herath stares at Ishant and then complains to the umpire. After bowling that bumper, Ishant just looked at the batsman but didn't say anything. Anyway, we are good to continue
I am not watching live but reading the commentry it seems like Ishant is picking fight with everyone , bowling or batting.
whats up with this new found attitude.
Umesh Yadav's economy rate is almost 7 runs per over in a test match on a pitch which is suitable for fast bowling. Now whom do we blame for such horrific bowling?
MS Dhoni famously said once in match presenation "Time has come where India need to really think if they want to play genuine quick bowlers or bowlers who maintains good line and length"
People criticized MS then saying he is anti quick bowling. But when you got dumb bowlers like Umesh and Aaron, I would happily take a trundler. A line & length trundler >>>> brainless fasttt bowler. B.Kumar would have ripped this SL batting on this pitch.
Time for Kohli to drop his love for pace bowlers and rely on what always worked for India. Line and length trundlers.

There was a Dav Whatmore comment on Indian selection in 2010 when we went ahead with Yuvi over Pujara.
Joke really.
Light is getting darker, though. Gotta try and make most of this session before the eventual rain arrives.

It may not but will sure spoil the rhythm of bowlers plus the danger of losing out crucial overs that could have been bowled at batsmen.rain will not last whole day.
Posted this in this very thread during SL's 1st inningRahul is not a test standard slip fielder and drops at least a catch or two in a inning in that position when placed. But he is pretty good at close catching positions, though.

Man this SL team is terrible.
The shame of losing 2 home Test series in a row. Oh the shame!
