Why isn't Yk bringing himself on his bowling would be perfect for this wicket
By the way the Way Razzak is fielding he is not fit enough for ODI so now you guys can see why we didn't play him in Tests
Hope to see Rana in the next match

loool pehlay team bazurgoon say bhari pari hai !!!

For this with no commenary: Some gal made a poster saying "rameez u have a sexy voice" and then Rameez goes i always wanted to sound like kishore kumar obviously i failed in my singing career

one days are so boring, we have another 34 overs to go, ICC should really start thinking of getting rid of this format

Agreed. But as long as the ICC are making $$$ they won't be doing away with anything.

I have a feeling that this isnt a bad selection, but instead it's a farewell game to the non-selectors.

It's a no-excuse game for the non-performers. A message given to them:

Sure, you may have failed in the test series, this is a one-day game. You have this game to prove yourself. You fail, and you make way for the people who are knocking.

If either Misbah or Malik's batting fail today, watch as they make way for Akmal and Jamshed. It's just their last chance.

I like Younis's policy

And all this is pure speculation....

Younis Khan brings himself into the attack. Interesting choice from Younis. Can he replicate some of his success from the Test series?

Excellent fielding from Aamer. Good throw from the deep prevents a single being converted into two.

Jayawardene goes for the cut misses and next ball Younis appeals for lbw. Ball was going don leg and the umpire doesn't give that one.

76-2 after 19 overs. Good over from Younis. Kept it simple and tight.

Sri Lanka going at just over 4 an over at this stage. I guess both sides will be pretty happy at this stage. Pakistan would love to break this partnership though.

81-2 after 20 overs. 5 runs came from that over. Only alarm came when Sangakkara played a drive uppishly but was into the gap.

Younis to continue.

Younis Khan has a potential to become a handy bowler in ODI's like Paul Collingwood.

Going from past, the average score on this ground has been 175, so I'm not sure what Pakistan will be happy about here? Barring some miracle bowling from here on, I don't see they would be able to restrict them to the average score on this ground...

Low full toss and Sangakkara flicks that away for 4. Good shot.

The pitch does not seem to be that bad for batting, definately a 200 plus pitch. From the play I've seen so far it hasn't produced any huge alarms. For Sri Lanka these two are crucial, as soon as one of these gets out then panic will set in.

Also Pakistan's main bowler Afridi hasn't bowled yet. I would hope that Younis does set more attacking fields when he comes onto bowl.

I'm not watching the match live so you may be right. Although, I doubt the pitch will be that acting much different then it has in the past. One thing that does favor Pakistan is that typically it has been easier to bat as the day progresses on this pitch...Although, if SL post 240+, you will realize when SL bowl, how it will be hard to score...

And Sangakkara gets out, ball stops on him slightly, the ball was there for the cut, but all he did was chip it straight to Afridi at point. Big wicket for Pakistan.

Yes, especially since they do have quite a strong bowling lineup. It's important we restrict them to around about 200-220.

Good captaincy from Younis, has a slip in for the new batsman.

Gotta choke the run rate now, bring it under 4 and keep it there. Picking up the odd wicket every now and then will help.

Poor delivery from Afridi what was the final ball of that over. Fires it down leg and it's tickled for 4. Afridi had his head bowed after that ball. He knew that wasn't one of his best ones he's bowled. Rest of that over was good though.

Just one run came from that Razzaq over, which was the 30th

Sri Lanka struggling to build any momentum, runs are not coming easily.

Samaraweera chips one to mid on. Razzaq strikes and Younis takes an easy catch. Again looked like the ball came to him slower than he expected and he was through his shot early.

125-5 drinks are on.

This is a demonstration of hitting out in frustration, when the runs aren't coming easily. It's not the type of pitch where you can bat carefree and expect to get away with it. Loose shots have generally resulted in wickets.

Doing very well here, with the constant wicket-taking. Gotta keep the pressure going.

On another note, I quite like our bowling attack, especially with Razzaq opening the bowling, as a new ball and fresh pitch will get the most out of him. Oh and Gully is much better as first change.
