Sri Lanka v Pakistan | 5th ODI | Colombo (RPS)| Aug 9, 2009 | Pak Innings

Quite poor from these two so far. 40 runs in 10 overs isn't good enough on a pitch that's an absolute belter.

Yousuf can take singles at will, that's a very handy ability to have, YK is lacking in that dept.

OK this phase might make us pay later on during the match. YK and Moyo both struggling to get the spinners away

50-run partnership for these two. Has took some time

i hate this commentator Roshan something ... he only talks from srilankan point of view...he's not neutral at all

99 for 2 after 20 overs

Oh well my prediction of 100 by the 20th not missing by much! So still am satisfied with it!

we are going at 5 and over, that will give 250 without any acceleration, I would take this at this stage, one of these guys needs to get a hundred and both should be looking to stay till the 35th over.

Yousuf's looking good, there's a bit of urgency in his batting.

Where was this earlier in the series?

we need to get runrate to about 5.5 till the 40th over, then accelarate with misbah/akmal/afridi and rana

Jaysuriya running like a ****ing sprinter ... is he really 40 .... and as i say that Yousuf is gone :(

Yousuf against left arm spin...the guy needs a batting coach. Another soft dismissal.

Yousuf goes. Played and missed in identical fashion a couple of times, I had a feeling this dismissal was coming

Pakistan 113/3 ... PP-favourite Misbah-ul-haq comes to the crease

Yousef done a good job, better then his previous innings. so far no complaints... ticking along good.

Kamrans dismissal was a disaster and a shame, no one can be blamed but the umpire.

No ones let us down so far...

yousuf played well, 43 runs with a strike rate of 78.

definitely a better ODI player than malik and misbah.

he has to be in the team. fawad must replace malik and umer must replace misbah. i cant see how some people on pakpassion would rather see malik than yousuf in the team.

Here we go brining Malik back into the euqation...the dude is not playing, that is what you wanted so now just keep your clams shut. And no one would rather see Malik over Yousuf..we would however like to see a younger player who cn field over Yousuf, but no one has explicitly singled out Malik.

Our middle-order is leaving a little too much to do for the lower-order. Also, there is no wayward Malinga this time round

I don't think I've ever seen Misbah using his feet against the spinners.

It's painful to watch him poke ineptly at straight balls, completely unable to rotate the strike.

the way their not looking to go crazy at the moment suggests they must have some sort of plan ... i dont see any other reason to play so slow

actually over the past few days many people have said they would prefer malik over yousuf in the team. you can look at the various threads and see line-ups where there is malik but no yousuf.i thought you'd be the first one who'd want that, seeing how much you support malik. are you related to him?

why does it hurt you so much if i dont want mediocre players playing for the team? why this obsession with mediocrity?

Younis really picking it up here.

He started with 12 off 35.

Since then he's made 32 of 29.

We're going at 5 an over.

300 is definitely on.

Uh where...i cant see any....and as i said before I am no Malik supporter..just that people including myself have got there wish, Malik is no longer here so just keep the dude out of it, i see no reason wy he should be the whipping block for the likes of you when he ios not playing, his time is up and good riddance, now leave the dude alone..is that too much to ask..where is the humanity...Oh i forgot hum Pakistani hain.

As for Yousuf, my non support for the guy has nothing to do with Malik...i class Yousuf as an old timer and i believe in prep for 2011 he should be eased out and someone like Alam should take his place. Thats my view so back off.

Younis has been consistent in scoring his runs... Hence why he one of leading run scoreres this series... well done.

Misbah suprisingly is on 13 from 18. Damn thats a suprise.

The cameraman was distracted by the young beauty doing her hair rather then younis's 50, which is why it probably went 'un-noticed by many' as the commentator said haha.
