Shafiq is at ease vs both pace and spin, thats why a batsman with good technique (Shafiq) will always be better than someone with a poor technique (Azhar)

Azhar is one of the best one down batsman in the world, not just Asia. It's unfortunate that he is Pakistani. In England or Aus, by now he would have played almost twice more test.

Playing is UAE has its toll, you have to grind a lot in those slow pitches, you just cannot bat fast.

Shafiq has the long inning temperament. His 5 centuries are statement to that. His only problem is his approach in ODIs.
