Never could have predicted this in me wildest dreams, expected the album to chart well but Stormzy has captured the imagination of the British Public and bought Grime mainstream attention, this is a pivotal moment in the genre's history; it opens the door for all the underground MC's who are the last of a dying breed which is Old School Hip Hop and conveying messages which involve spiritual, inspirational and philosophical themes in addition to depicting inner city struggles and what life is really like in the ghetto.

I just can't seem to enjoy British artists rapping. Their still into the phase where they can't stop calling themselves 'King' or talking about their "enemies".

That couldn't be further from the truth that would best describe rappers from the US which has many fruity brothers who mumble with autotune, piggy back of other singers and overly produced beats whilst looking ridculous.

You won't find a crop of rappers like Skepta, Stormzy, Akala, Lowkey etc who are more creative, intelligent, fluid, edgy and gritty when it comes to their work. "King" and "Enemies" are popular themes amongst mainstream rappers in america, such superficial nonsense is below the grime scene which has never been designed for such a style, its purpose is to depict life from the perspective of folk in the inner city for what things really are, their struggles and ambition to overcome the obstacles they face.

Will let you know once I finished listening to all of it, but what I've listened to thus far is way better then anything mainstream out there in this day and age when it comes to rap forms. By the way, which 2pac album would you say is the best and your favourite?

ha! yet Stormzy achieved 6 A*'s in his GCSE's so your narrow minded bigotry has been exposed in addition to mental ineptness so much for the roadman stereotype when it comes to such artists who are a lot more intelligent then you. Stormzy also has more money then you will ever make in a life time so you can go back to claiming benefits fraudulently and doing taxi till the end of your days

lol, your comment almost looks that like one of those grimy lyrics, listen mate, i've followed the UK music scene since the early 90's, was a DJ a good part of 10 years, saw trends go from rave, hardcore, house, jungle, drum n bass, garage and so on, Grime is exactly what it is, a musical phase for a certain age demographics... guy might have good grades and made money etc but i highly doubt that majority of the fan base can say the same about themselves. I see it as an escape for a certain generation, they'll grow out of it, as will you one day.

Oh right! that makes a lot of sense, DJ's are generally out of depth on every level when it comes to the music scene and generally have a very chav like mindset, they also seem to be very poorly educated and often work silly jobs for peanuts.

Difficult to say but Me against the world will always be up there for me as it was the first album I listened to but Until the end of time is great value, a lot of tracks and varied topics covered. Yours?

All eyes on me is my favourite, generally has all the tracks which are my favourite on the album, me against the world is right up there it's a close second the themes are heavy especially on police brutality I think? can't believe we're not passed that in 2017, pac must be rolling in his grave

All Eyes has to be up there as one of the greatest albums of all time, every track is a hit. Great value for money too, double CD. Dear Mama has to be one of his most iconic tracks, lyrically strong and a great message for all people. Yes as Malcolm X said they racists now come in uniforms. The US laws simply don't hold police accountable, often after an innocent has been shot dead, they use the argument the officer felt in danger and this is enough for them to walk free.

The 90's is when Rnb blew up big time , taking over from the soul music of the 80's which took over from the likes of Motown. Do you listen to 80's soul at all? Not many rappers could mix rnb with their beats or their lyrics, so the likes of Biggie, Pac or their producers esp Dre managed this brilliantly, another reason all eyes was such a massive hit. lol, let's not even go into the quality of DJ's these days, they only fade one track into another, hit a few sound buttons and as you said repeat their favourite phrases again and again, raising their tone as they go along. Check out Alyson Williams - I need your lovin, arguably one of the greatest 80's soul love songs. No I haven't heard this mix, will check it out later.
