Subtitles on TV....Do you watch with or without?

To be honest, I am really used to them and find it hard to follow movies/TV shows without them!!

Think it's age but I am not sure.

What about you?

Tbh with headphones or with dolby sound it’s not needed but when I’m youtubing without the accessories i do use it esp for British accent.

If it is English, no need for subtitle. But, if the audio is poor, I may go for subtitles.

I hate subs. They are a great hindrance in my enjoyment of a film or programme.

I find it infuriating when anyone in the family turns on subtitles. It absolutely ruins the flow of the dialogue.

More and more TV and film directors are burying the dialogue in the music and other sound files e.g. Tenet. Incomprehensible.

Go back thirty years and film dialogue is pin-sharp.

Sometimes I need subtitles on for modern films.

Subtitles on, dialogues are not that clear so like following the subtitles.

American accent still understandable but others like british can be hard to pick up
