SuperNatural (The Jinh) Episode)!!!

Interestingly, in the latest episode of SuperNatural which was aired in USA on Thursday, 3rd of May...the plot was centred around a Jinh (they spelled it as Djinn...?) and also mentioned the Quran a few times!

Did anyone catch that?

It was not a bad episode...the elder brother Dean was captured by a Jinh, who made him believe that he is living his 'Life's Dream/Wish' of seeing his Mom and Sam's Girl friend (both were killed by a demon in the earlier shows)

Short Summary:

Dean is attacked by a Djinn... and finds himself in a new reality where his mother is still alive and a mysterious woman holds the key to everything...

wow another supernatural fan! I love that show. I could care less for the supernatural stuff that they have, but the natural stuff between the brothers, that is pretty good to watch.

I was disappointed to see the jinn as being so weak, being fleshy and mortal to a blade. I thought jinns were much more powerful.

type in Islamic exorcism in youtube!!...to see some real life islamic exorcisms!!

I usually watch it. Dont think that episode has happened here yet though. Will look out for it

Which episode was that one when the two brothers are telling a story to someone about what happened and there was a huge difference between the two brothers accounts, they were making fun of each other in the story. Does anyone remember that one?

Also the one with Tricia Helfer, in which there is a girl running away from a ghost on the road, that was good too.

i have all the episodes..need further info

Kewl, some more Supernatural fans like me...I always try to watch it but some times watching the other boring shows before it, I fall asleep and usually wake up right after the show :12:

I agree with MCMLXXXII, the Jinh was shown to be too weak...I guess the way they wrote the script for that episode, their family took centre stage

My problem is that Desperate Housewives is on at the time so my sister is usually watching that, but luckily shes an early sleeper most of the time

Sadly. I think Im the only person in my family who doesnt (not sure about my dad though). But lets not talk about stuff like that in a thead about Supernatural

Not really cause I seriously dont know cause Im not living with my parents.

Ok, from now on any further discussion about DH should be in a thread about DH. I imagine Monsee will be a bit ticked off to see whats happened to his thread

Desperate by no other definition in that context is linking to you know what. Housewifes make it even more stereotyped.

What, both of you are twins?

:)))

That episode had some hilarious parts in it. The guy slow dancing with the alien and then Dean's retelling of what happened, in which Sam was hugging the guy and acting like his mother were funny as heck.

Good show on the whole, am interested to see where the Sam being targeted by the yellow eyed demon storyline leads.

Forget the storyline, I don't care much about it. I don't care about the supernatural parts of the story. The reason why I love the show is because of the relationship of the brothers. The great dialog that they have. Anyone who has siblings would be able to see and relate.

All 'Chaaloo Beewian' show fans should be given 'Public Phainty'...with a size 12 'Oiled and Knocked' Peshowari Chappal

supernatural rules :19:

Supernatural's a fantastic show - I've followed it religiously since it first aired despite receiving criticism from everyone I know for 'watching that tripe.' The season premiere was excellent; uncomplicated, forthright and simply top-notch entertainment. Some shows leave you waiting for years before they answer pertinent questions, but Supernatural's clever in that it doesn't beat around the bush; it simply keeps things flowing, answers recent questions and asks new questions. As in every show I prefer the standalone episodes, but the demon arc that has developed throughout has proven to be very, very good too.

But yes, the chemistry between the characters is what makes the show. Ackles and Padelecki have formed a believable brotherhood between them, whilst a character like Bobby is very good glue for forging links in the stories. The main actors are all really talented, even if the tag-alongs can at times be shoddy.

Favourite episode has got to be either the one where Dean keeps dying or where Sam has all the bad luck after losing the rabbit's foot (Bad Day at Black Rock, I think the latter was called).

Scariest episode is probably the Season One episode, Asylum.

I've got the first three series on DVD, but am a bit peeved by ITV's poor coverage of the show. It takes them forever to get the new series after the Yanks, and their advertising is non-existent, yet still they whine about poor viewing figures. Add to that they've messed around with the repeat (original airing time of 9pm on a Sunday on ITV 5 million is not ideal), and it makes for a dreadful attempt at bringing a fantastic series to a wider audience.

Yeah Channel 10 is the same here. Its on one week, then off the other - I really have no idea when it is or isnt on and when it is its at a pretty inconvenient time

I really like this tv show. Started watching this summer on a friend's recommendation. Only seen the first two seasons on dvd though. Soon hope to catch the 3rd and 4th seaons.

Great start to season 4. Nice twist in the end with Dean but i was really ******** off at what they'v done to Ruby's character! She was a strong character in season 3 with huge potential.....and now she's a little pussycat!

I think the third season was really the season (although liked it before)when the show took off in a more darker level.

I don't believe shows like supernatural can survive on channels like itv or channel 5. It's either a bbc2 or channel 4 show !

The episode Monsee talks about was brilliant. I think the show just got better as the second season approached its end.

i thought season 3 topped it off! Season 1 was good, season 2 was better and season 3 was great!

I guess I'll soon have to be grab a set of season 3 dvd's then. Man I miss Karachi where I could get the whole season for just 100 rupees.

So any Supernatural fans out here ?

I tend to watch this show on DVD, as it airs on Thursday nights when I am usually out partying and I don't think there are any re-runs throughout the week.

I am currently on the 4th Season and have to say that now this show ranks among my favorite tv shows ever.

What about you guys ? What are some of you favorite episodes ?

I watch it.. :) Was addicted to it some time back.. The frequency of watching it is a little less though nowadays.. :\

One of my favourite shows, I recently finished watching the last episode. The best season overall would be Season 4 in my opinion but Season 5 is good too. The best episode however is Season 5, 'The Hammer of the Gods'. :)))

Yeah it was one of my favourites, i stopped watching it after season 4, just couldnt keep up for various reasons, the first 3-4 seasons were very good, but things start getting repetitive...

Im into 90210 at the moment... was a big smallville fan until lana left.. and prison break i watched all of it

Yeah, I am a big fan of Prison Break myself. Apart from sitcoms, I would have to say Prison Break happens to be my favorite show ever however at times I felt it did really drag at places in Season 4. However, on the other hand , kudos to the creative team of Supernatural for being able to mainain quality for over half a decade.

havent seen Supernatural? is it any good?

I myself have only seen Prison Break and Lost

I watched almost every episode of Supernatural. It was a great show. Too bad Kripke doesn't want to be a part of the team for Season 6 or so I heard.

On a side not, the production for Season 6 has begun already!!

I watch this show but haven't seen the last few episodes. I love the realtionship between the brothers and that is the only reason to watch the show. My favourite episodes are the ghostfacers, convention and knight rider one.

Any Supernatural fans out here? must be many since the show is like 7 seasons old with 8th one on the way.

for those who don't know it consists of two brothers Sam and dean Winchester who hunt vampires ghosts evil clowns etc.

an awesome show which is scary funny and touching sometimes in the same episode.

I think the when Lucifer fell in hell and we all came to know that chuck is really god ,thats when the show should have ended on a high note.

Hmm but both seasons 6 and 7 have had some fantastic episodes. The parallel universe episode, then episode revolving around death of a major character. Show hasn't lost its quality yet

You like the lavathian(whatver it is) concept?

Think it should have ended at Season 5. Season 6 and 7 are good but not the same quality

Their goals were pretty creepy. Make all humans morons and feed on them. Despite others disliking him, I did enjoy the performance of dude who played dick Roman.

season premiere 2 days later. So excited!!! Castiel and Dean in purgatory.

Cas looks horrible.

Sera Gamble pretty much offed almost all the characters we have come to like.

Great show, just started watching it.

On Episode 12 of the 1st season. Loving it.

Season 8 has been a little iffy. Lot of good but lot of unconvincing stuff too. There is way too much mystery around.

Sam is being way too odd. Acting downright selfish and standoffish. Something's wrong.

Its still a good series. But writers are running out of ideas now.

Yikes! Episode 4 of season 8 has gotten flamed like hell. Ironically, I think its the best episode of this season yet. People just dont like found footage type movies I guess. Paranormal Activity 988999 releasing may have something to do with that.

Castiel scheduled to return in next episode. :108: :108:

AWESOME EPISODE 5!!! Castiel is back although in flashbacks. Benny and Dean seem an interesting pair. Finally I felt like watching the Supernatural I loved.

what's so strange about Sam acting weird? he is mostly like that in almost all of the seasons

The problem is he doesn't seem to be giving a damn about saving people. If there was a flaw that Sam had, it was that he was too emotional. That was exploited to the hilt by Ruby and Lucifer. But now he just seems like he wants to go back to that rude animal doctor who I dont really like that much. I actually enjoyed the hell out of yesterday's scene where Dean tells him that he took a year off while Dean himself is taking just a day off.

Episode 6 was average except for Garth who was superb.

Season 8 has been vaguely disappointing. Flashes of brilliance followed by flashes of mediocrity so on and so forth.

Episode 7 was fantastic. Among the Top 10 Supernatural episodes for sure. Crowley has become pure evil. Nothing redeemable about him now. Chopping off fingers, turning poor woman into puree. King of Hell indeed!!! :14:

Plus, we saw Cas's wings!!!! Maybe he drank Red Bull :yk

Episode 8 was pretty cool. Amelia flashbacks were okayish. Cas was great.

PS: Nobody watch this show anymore huh? :pissed:

^ I do, & yes Episode 8 was awesome.

Wonder what Cas is gonna do after taking care of that old guy in the wheelchair....

Superb episode this week. Grandpa Winchester was superb. The whole episode felt like supernatural of old with flashbacks, the Winchester hunting book. 10/10 For the episode "As time goes by".
