T20I batsmen with the highest averages

This thread is not to prove they are better batsmen thn others this is just about high averages although average alone doesn't matter if your strike rate is low in this format. (Criteria was at least 300 runs)

He already averages 50 in ODIs, and only a matter of time before he gets there in Tests. Catching up in T20s as well.

It will be difficult hard to achieve a 50+ average in this format for a considerable amount of games without decreasing strike rate.

The only legit ones there are Husseys and KPs...Kohli's has been severely affected by not outs as all his big knocks are NO
but I reckon Kohli, Finch and Hales should last 40+ nicely as they're top class..

Hussey actually has 3 times as many NOs almost in about 1.5 times the number of games. in any case N.Os should not be penalised because it is to the credit of the batsman that they were not dismissed(unless someone batted really selfishly). That said, I would take Misbah and Hussey over Kohli in a heartbeat in t20.

120 (which translates to a team score of 120 X 120/100 = 144 runs) should be a cut off strike rate for a good batsman in T20 - something equivalent to ODIs's 80. High averages are probably not useful without this S/R and may actually be match conceding.

Look at Andrew Symonds, what a beast! Daym. He was kicked out for dscipline right? Wish he adopted Pakistani nationality .. would love to have him on our team. Always rated him the best among his fellow sloggers (Sehwag/Afridi/etc)

yeah. The 135+ ones who kept it there for a significant period are on the elite level...aka Hussey, KP, BMac, Gayle, Yuvraj and Watttooooo. I think 27+ average would be fine for a 120+..

Ajinkya Rahane would have similar stats if given the license to play the way he wants to.
